In regards to the letter you sent me about my complaint against Calibre Pole Buildings.ID number [redacted] I am sending you a copy of the contract stating inches of concrete to beinstalledOn our first initial meeting with [redacted] and [redacted] to discuss plans to have Calibre PoleBuildings build my building I told [redacted] and [redacted] that I need inches of concrete and they toldthat would be no problemthey told me that [redacted] does the excavating for them foradditional chargeI told them to get him to do it I paid [redacted] dollars to excavatethe siteAfter the building was up and ready to have the floor poured [redacted] asked Me if I woulduse my skid loader to push some dirt around if not they would have to do it by handSo I did tohelp them outI would think the person they hired to do the excavation would of had the sitecompleteI didnt do any excavation to the site at allthats why I agreed to them hiring [redacted] I dont have the equipment to make sure the site is level or below grade toaccommadate for inches of concrete

In regards to the complinat filed against caliber pole buildings, responding to calibers responses, they said about wheather conditions, well what happened to all spring ,summer and fall, they could have poured the concrete but refused to set something up I tried numerous times to contact them, with no responseWhy would they need a new contract when I already have one for this work that was never completedThey owe me for a concrete floor, which as stated by them labor was included in contract price which was paid in fullAs for the concrete price it is not and I didn't have a $profit because it acually cost $for the concrete from the same company they use, so I am in the hole from itI also do not owe *** anything I actually was charged twice for the drywall , and have invoice and reciepts to prove itno prep work was done on the floor by caliber we had most of it done ourselves, then the person that was hired to finish what they didn,t done the prep work for drains and floor which cost $for prep and $for labor and vapor barrier and as stated $for concrete .For the work to be completed totals $1,minus the $caliber quoted for concrete, I should be compensated $for this work, and asked for $so I am still at a loss

We did build a 27x24x8 attached garage in January of 2014. The building conditions were terrible due to the extremely cold temperatures. The homeowner expressed her desire to be able to park her new jeep under roof. As the forecast showed no sign of warming, we discussed with [redacted] putting off the...

concrete pour until warmer temperatures were steady, but the garage would otherwise be complete. As written in our contract, the total price includes the concrete floor, however, in our concrete clause, the homeowner is able to hold the money for the concrete if weather conditions are deemed not suitable. In this case, [redacted] held $803.11. Labor is included in the full contract price, due to the nature of how we build. Our crew is still working on the garage while the floor is setting up. There is no separation for “concrete labor'’.As far as $850.00 for labor for concrete, the price is ridiculous. All of the prep work has been completed for the floor. We left the site at the homeowners request due to the cold weather, however, made it suitable for use {including the installation of garage door openers, which for the labor, we have never been compensated for). For us to return to the job, we needed to complete a new contract, with a new completion date. We were unable to come up with an agreement on a pour date and labor compensation, and have since been at a stand still. As a side note, this is the second garage we have built for the [redacted]’. The first garage was completed under the same circumstances, with the concrete being poured at a later date, and them holding the concrete money until it was completed. There were no issues with this building.Current concrete prices would put the pour total at $743.80. Therefore, [redacted] has over $60 profit in concrete money. She also holds $250 for garage door opener installation, and still owes a balance of $97.21 to [redacted] for fire rated drywall. We feel that we have held to our contract agreement. If further information is needed in this matter, we will provide whatever is needed. However, we feel that we have completed our contract obligations, and would like to have this issue closed.Thank You,

Please consider the attached information regarding the case mentioned above.  We were made aware of the complaint just yesterday, and feel we should state our position.  I'm not sure why we failed to receive a notification of the complaint, however, the issue, we feel,is causing the...

possibility of lost work.98% of the work was completed by the end of August.  The remaining exterior concrete work and minor touches (some soffit, facsia...) remained.Mr. [redacted] came to our home and discussed the issue with the delay.  We came to an agreement that the excavator needed to complete the exterior work in order for us to complete the project. I did not swear at Mr. [redacted] or clench my fists.  I sent an email to Mr. [redacted] on September 15, 2015 asking him if we could head over to complete the work.  The next day, I received a letter from his attorney forbidding us to be on his property.  How are we to complete a job if we are unable to be on the property where the work is to be completed?Mr.[redacted] filed a complaint at the end of November with our local magistrate.  The civil case judgement was in our favor (2/10/15).  The plaintiff was found to be "less than truthful" and could not provide any proof of further expenses to complete the project. We would like to have this complaint removed from your website, or at the least, allow for my side of the story to be submitted, and the claimbe noted as resolved.Thank you for your attention to this matter.Greg D[redacted]Caliber Pole Buildings

I took Caliber Pole Building/Greg D[redacted] (owner) to the magistrate court, where we lost on a small technicality. Mr. D[redacted] states that we were found to be "less than truthful," which is not true, nor did he offer you any proof of that. I request that you edit his response to remove this sentence.     We appealed this to the Court of Common Pleas of Clearfield County. We sought the original $4852.48, plus additional attorney fees as Mr. D[redacted] appeared to be in violation of the Home Improvement Consumer Protection Act and the Unfair Trade Practices and Consumer Protection Act. The court ruled in our favor and due to violating the two acts cited above, awarded us our attorney fees in addition to the original amount.     Mr. D[redacted] claims that he owns no property in his name, no vehicles and has no assets. (attached letter from Mr. D[redacted]'s attorney).     I am attaching official court documents to back up everything that I am saying.     Thank you for your assistance in this. Please contact me if you need any further documentation.

In regards to the letter you sent me about my complaint against Calibre Pole Buildings.ID number [redacted] I am sending you a copy of the contract stating 6 inches of concrete to beinstalled. On our first initial meeting with [redacted] and [redacted] to discuss plans to have Calibre PoleBuildings build my building I told [redacted] and [redacted] that I need 6 inches of concrete and they toldthat would be no problem. they told me that [redacted] does the excavating for them foradditional charge. I told them to get him to do it I paid [redacted] 250.00 dollars to excavatethe site. After the building was up and ready to have the floor poured [redacted] asked Me if I woulduse my skid loader to push some dirt around if not they would have to do it by hand. So I did tohelp them out. I would think the person they hired to do the excavation would of had the sitecomplete. I didnt do any excavation to the site at all. thats why I agreed to them hiring [redacted] I dont have the equipment to make sure the site is level or below grade toaccommadate for 6 inches of concrete

Regarding the complaint of the concrete issue.  It clearly states in our contract the the excavation/site preparation is not includedin our project. Although we can provide an excavator,  the homeowner chose to complete the excavation and to grade the floor with his own machine.  The...

floor was rocky and uneven in several places (it was built into the side of a hill). We can not deny that there may have been some higher places on the final concrete pour, however, there were probably many lower/deeper places as well.  We stand behind our work and believe that we poured theconcrete to the correct specifications for the floor.

Had a 24x32 building put up by Caliber early march 2016. They were very easy to work with and did an excellent job. Pricing was extremely good compared to other builders. Work was completed far before agreed date. No problems at all with the service. I Highly recommend Caliber Pole Buildings.

Review: I have a contract stating I should have 6 inches of concrete for my floor so I could install a 2 post lift for lifting vehicles they knew what I wanted it for [redacted] even asked me where I was installing my lifts on the morning of the pour for concrete he said I have time I will dig up a couple of inches of dirt so you'll have even more than 6 inches so I got my lift and set it in place to drill holes you need to drill 4 inchesfor the anchor bolts I [redacted]ed the drill bit at 4 inches and started to drill I did not even get to 4 inches roughly about 3.5 to 3.75 inches and I went right through the concrete into the dirt meaning I only have 4 inches of concrete or less its ok for my 10000 pound lift but not my 15000 pound lift so I made a phone call to caliber pole buildings and I got an answer machine I left a message so they could return my call no return call I continued to call for a month and a half to no avail I went to centre concrete where my concrete came from and asked them how much concrete you need for a 30x40 building 6 inches of concrete they said 22 yards I aked them how much concrete caliber pole buildings ordered for my job they showed me the bill 17 yards not nearly enough for 6 inches the guy said so I called caliber again stating I know how much concrete they ordered and I would like to work it out amongst ourself still no return call I talked to a legal advisor and he told me that I would probably only get the difference from the yardage they didnt order at bestand it would cost me about the difference to file I feel I was ripped off especially when I have a contract stating what I was supposed to get I feel they should refund the money for all the concrete so I can get the right amount of concrete foe my 15000 pound liftDesired Settlement: refund the money for the concrete

Review: Had caliber build 2 car pole garage signed contract in november 2013.They finished building in jan. of 2014 except for pouring concrete for the 4 inch floor, said they would be back in spring to finish.Contacted them several times set up dates and they would ignore me or never show up.The last three times I tried to contacted them they would not respond. My contract says I should have a 4 inch concrete floor and I don,t because they won,t come back and finish it. I feel after a year I should have my floor, they have had more than enough time to do it. I got an estimate on what it would cost for some one else to finish it and it was $850.00 for the labor.I don,t feel I should have to pay this again I already paid caliber to do it.Desired Settlement: I would like them to pay back the $850.00 for the labor that the never did for the floor so I can have someone else finish it.

Review: I hired Caliber Pole Buildings (CPB) in May to build a pole building. We signed a contract, stating the building would be started and finished in June, weather permitting. To be fair, in rained through June. But July and August were so dry that we were in a drought. The building was started, but not finished. CPB works with an excavator, Mark H[redacted]. They are next door neighbors. Every delay was blamed on H[redacted] not having work done so they could finish. Every time I talked to H[redacted] he would say that CPB told them they didn't need him to do anything at that point. Neither would return phone calls and e-mails to CPB might be returned a week later. Communication is next to impossible with them after they had my money. They did not require money up front, but required that I directly pay each company as they made a delivery of supplies. I work out of state and could not be there to do this. I paid them $15,000 up front to handle this. On 7/7/2015 I paid another $4325 to finish the work and pour concrete outside the building. The main structure was built, but not finished, and the concrete inside was poured at this point. from this point I could not get the work finished. I was told they could not finish until H[redacted] did some more excavation work, and he said again that they told him he wasn't needed. I offered (by e-mail) to rent a backhoe and do the excavation work myself. I had no response. I e-mailed that I wanted to meet with them at the site so they could show me what excavation work needed done and I would do it myself (this was not any major excavation that needed done) and still no response. I took a week off work, came home from 2 states away to try to work this out. I went to the post office in Smithmill to find where they live and CPB [redacted] worked there by chance. She directed me to H[redacted]'s house. I talked to him and he blamed it on CPB. I went back to [redacted] an thought we would have it worked out. H[redacted] did not show up when he said he would on Saturday. Sunday I went to his house (not home) and then to Greg D[redacted]'s (CPB) house, right next door. Greg came out on the porch, fists clenched, jaw clenched and face red looking like he was ready to fight. He said he didn't appreciate me going to where his wife works, and that nobody had ever come to his house before. I wasn't there to fight, I was the customer trying to get my building finished. We talked and I thought we had things worked out. They came out the next week and did a little bit of work and H[redacted] did more excavating, telling me when he was done that everything they needed was ready. I then realized that the building permit had not been signed for 2 inspections. I called the inspector and he said that he had never been contacted and 2 inspections were missed. We weren't supposed to build beyond each inspection until they passed. I called CPB on 9/2/2015 to try to get Greg to come out that night or the following day so that we could get this fixed. He called back later that day, yelling and cussing at me with a lot of "F-you's" and ended the call with "I'll finish your building when hell freezes over." I called the inspector to come out the next day to see what I needed to do to fix the missed inspection problem, intending to hire a second contractor at that point. I didn't intend to wait until "hell freezes over." The first inspection required the inspector to see the posts set at the correct depth and concrete poured around them properly. We had posts buried and a building on top of them. I did see this done so I could sign an affidavit for that, or the posts would have to be dug up for inspection. The second inspection was failed. This involved attaching headers to the posts and attaching the trusses to the headers. They were missing lag bolts and straps. 2 headers were missing. Braces in the corners and in the trusses were missing. Metal siding was attached over outside headers and you would have to remove that or drill through that to put those bolts in. I hired a second contractor and he finished the building, bringing everything up to code and also poured the outside concrete that I had paid CPB to do. The cost for this was $4852.48.Desired Settlement: I would like to be refunded the $4852.48. This is for work I already paid for. Some building supplies were on site to finish part of this, and used. The contractor had to but additional materials.
