This email is in response to the letter we go from you in the mail regarding Mr*** ***.">*** ** *** *** *** *** *** ** ***
Mr *** had expressed his dis-satisfaction with the service we have provided him on 08/14/
Mr *** and/or his wife had called our company looking to get assistance with having their refrigerator serviced with the complaint that the refrigerator is not cooling
We responded promptly and came out to the property after we explained to them over the phone that to come out we charge a $dollar service fee and we wave it off if they approve the repair estimate we give them after we find what's causing the fridge to fail
When our technician came out to the property and approached the fridge, the fridge was working perfectlyit was cooling properly on both sides, freezer & refrigerator
The customer was made aware of that, and he was told to call us back if it fails so we could service the problem
We are unable to service a problem if it is not present
The customer was also told that we if they call us back and we come out and see that the fridge is not cooling, and had failed we would be able to locate the problem and give them a quote for the repair, and if they were to approve the quote we would proceed with the repair and wave off the $service fee
I have attached the signed copy of the receipt that we gave Mr*** that states that the fridge was working at present time after our technician checked the refrigerator
With that being said, unfortunately we won't be able to refund the $service fee
Here at California Appliance Repair, Inc customer satisfaction is our number one priority and in this case we feel like we have met our customer experience guidelines

This was through American Home Shield. The nuts and brackets for my dishwasher had fallen and the dishwasher was tilting. In addition, a couple of washers were missing. The technician reviewed it and told us that he would have to order parts which would take two days. On not hearing back I called and was told this was not covered by American Home Shield's policy as it was not part of normal wear and tear.
Well, the call was made because the brackets had fallen off and that is normal wear and tear. On looking closely at California Appliance Repair complaints very evident that this is a company that has shoddy and questionable service ethics.
So I am out $100 with AHS and California Appliance Repair is laughing to the bank - its a great model to deny customer complaints and yet make money out of them. Seems like a great scheme.

Review: ON 8/14/14 the repair man I believe his name was [redacted] came to our house to fix our fridge which was not cooling enough. He charged us $35 just as a service fee and did not do anything but a visual inspection. We did not get our money's worth. He did not have the right tools. Not even a digital thermometer to confirm that it was cooling enough. he just felt inside with his hands. We will never do business with these folks and want our money back.Desired Settlement: refund my $ 35 service fee.

Review: [redacted] sent me a letter to inform me that my dishwasher would not be replaced because the technician dispatched to my home from California Appliance Repair ("[redacted]") informed them that my dishwasher could not be repaired because it was "overloaded". Nothing could be further from the truth. As a matter of fact, several rungs were missing on both the upper and lower racks, making overloading impossible. Furthermore, the technician wrote on the invoice of 5/8/15 that he could not repair the unit because of "damage to the booth" (Invoice number [redacted]; sow# [redacted] of 5/8/15).Desired Settlement: 1. California Appliance Repair need to provide me with a hard copy of the reason they reported to [redacted] as to why the dishwasher was not repairable.

2. If this reason for inability to repair the unit is inaccurate (i.e., speculation as to overloading or improper operation of the unit) , it must be immediately correct by contacting [redacted] and providing me with a copy of this notice.

3. If the reason for inability to repair the unit is inaccurate (i.e., speculation as to overloading or improper operation of the unit) , California Appliance must compensate me for the replacement cost of the unit because of factual misrepresentation of the reason for not repairing the unit.
