Business states that customer may return the transmission back to the business  and he will get what he paid for the unit. Which is around $500.

This customer is stating false accusations. She called today on December 22, 2016 before noon saying she did not receive her refund. [redacted] gave her the refund on December 19, as we told her, and she claimed after 3 days it should be in her bank immediately. We told her it can take 2-5 days for a...

refund, and she continuously argued that it needed to be in her bank by the third day.  The third day, December 22, wasn't even finished yet (it was still morning) so she still had time to receive her refund. We have attached the refund receipt that was she was given on December 19, and she was also sent a copy of this receipt as well. If she had issues she should have contacted her bank, because we issued the refund to her with proof. She had no reason to continue arguing when we already explained to her that the refund was already given to her and she needed to wait until it cleared to her bank.

Review: We bought a transmission from this business. The transmission was installed in my vehicle and did not work. The professional mechanics said that the transmission was sold to us with an internal problem so we returned it back. They send the transmission to a repair shop where they checked it and said that an inner pump and screws were broken and that the damage was done by us. This is not true and now they refuse to replace it or give us the money back. The cost of it was $1,474 plus the times we went from Hayward, CA to Modesto, CA to deal with the problem. They want to charge us for the current damage that the transmission has even though we did not cause it.

I want to have a complete refund of my money not a replacement for I do not know if the products they will replace later will be of any good. They have refused to do a refund though even though we are still under the 2 month guarantee period. If it is not solve, we would do a lawsuit.

Review: Tried to get refund after getting 2 bad transmissions and was denied. Owner insisted neither transmission was bad.

On 7/5/14 purchased a used transmission for my 1997 Chevrolet Tahoe for $550.00, which I paid in cash. On 7/21/14 I had a shop (Extreme Auto Repair) install it for $350.00 plus parts (approx. $392.00) and it was locked up. The repair shop owner called [redacted], the owner, at California Auto Dismantlers and explained what was wrong with the transmission and asked for another. It took a couple of calls for [redacted] to agree to replace it. I returned it and after much grief [redacted] gave me a replacement. The [redacted]e repair shop installed the second one for $250.00 on 7/22/14 and it also was no good. Again the repair shop called California Auto Dismantlers and told [redacted] that transmission was no good. I spoke to [redacted] at California Auto Dismantlers and he told me there was nothing wrong with the second one also. He ([redacted]) decided to call his transmission guy and told him what was wrong with the second transmission. [redacted] gave me the phone and I spoke to him about what the transmission did after installation and he agreed it was no good. [redacted]'s transmission guy told [redacted] it was no good. [redacted] then offered me the transmission I returned the day before as he insisted it was good and he would send it to his transmission guy to go through it and have him install it free. When I asked where his transmission guy's shop was he told me Los Banos. I asked him who was going to pay for the towing of my vehicle from Modesto to Los Banos, he told me I was. I said no I don't think I should pay for towing to have your guy install the transmission. I told [redacted] I want my money back for the transmission and the first installation charge. He said no, the transmissions were good, the repair shop installed them wrong. I told him I was going to see him in court.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS:

Case is being handled by another organization: Bureau of Automotive AffairsDesired Settlement: Refund of my transmission purchase price, taxes and both installation charges. I will return the second transmission once it has been removed from my vehicle. Total refund approximately $1250.00.
