This letter responds to your correspondence of December 24, 2013, regarding the above-referenced matter. We appreciate your efforts to help resolve Mr. [redacted]'s complaint.

In researching this matter with our corporate collections department, we are unable to locate in our customer database or in our call recording system the phone number provided by Mr. [redacted] in his complaint, (XXX) XXX-XXXX. It may be that his telephone number was previously removed from our call system by one of our representatives, which would explain why it is not in the database. As an added precaution, Mr. [redacted]'s telephone number has been added to our Do Not Contact database to prevent telephone calls received from our call-dialer.

If Mr. [redacted] has received calls at a different telephone number, we welcome him to provide us with that telephone number so that we can further research, address, and resolve his concerns. If, because his telephone number was already removed from the system and he is no longer receiving calls, then we apologize for any inconvenience caused to him.

I sincerely hope that this addresses Mr. [redacted]'s concerns, and again, if the problem has not been resolved, invite him to provide additional information that would allow us to assist him further.

Sincerely,

Review: We went to California Check Cashers store #[redacted])to get our income tax done. ([redacted]) looked at our documents and said they would charge us only $212.00 which we agreed to pay. Joysiy ([redacted]) agent gave us some papers to sign, stating that if we wanted our tax refund we had to sign these papers, that this was just a formality. My husband and I signed the papers. When we received our refund we discovered that it was $103.95 short. I contacted Joysiy, and told her that she over charged $103.95. Joysiy, stated we signed the papers and ([redacted]) had a right to charge us. ([redacted]) charged us $35.00 for Franchise/ network fee $38.95 Transmitter fee paid to Drake Software and $30.00 for refund processing fee. Total $103.95.Desired Settlement: ([redacted]) agent [redacted], made us believe that it would only cost $212.00 to have our income tax work done and no other hidden fees. I feel they owe us $103.95 which they over charged us.

I went into the location on sunrise and antelope rd in citrus heights ca. To pay my car registration the girl who helped me was rude treating me like I was not worth her time. Her name was Eva and I only live like 5 minutes from the location. She was very rude and very unprofessional. I will never refer my friends or family to this location. And never did get my registration done because she couldn't get it together. I have never been treated so poorly and I work for a grocery store and I know what it takes for a company to survive and customer service is one of them.

Review: This company is refusing to reverse a double payment made to them. They deposited a temporary check that had not yet cleared my account until. After I had already paid them in cash. They claim they didnt receive 300 dollars that my bank honored and paid them. I explained to error and even though I brought in proof of payment they are still denying the over payment. I confirmed with my bank that they were paid but california check cashing corprate officce has been nothing but rude and refusing to assist in resolving this error. Now my account has overdrafted over 200 dollars.Desired Settlement: I would just like for them to reverse the check payment therefore I can address any other issues with Bank of America in regards to my account. I have proof that the payment was made twice. I just want my money that im entitled to be returnes to my account.

Re: Revdex.com Complaint No. [redacted]

Dear Ms. [redacted]:

This is in response to your correspondence of June 22, 2014, regarding the above-referenced matter. We appreciate the opportunity to address Mr. [redacted]’s concerns and the role of the Revdex.com in resolving consumer complaints.

Our records indicate that Mr. [redacted] obtained a loan from California Check Cashing Stores, LLC (“CCCS”) on March 21, 2014. The loan had an agreed-upon repayment date of April 4, 2014, and he provided a check to pay the loan on that date. On April 4, 2014, Mr. [redacted] visited the CCCS retail branch location where he obtained his loan and requested that his loan be entered into an Extended Payment Plan (“EPP”). By entering his loan into an EPP, Mr. [redacted] agreed to make four equal payments of $75.00, the due dates of which would coincide with his periodic pay dates (April 19, 2014; May 4, 2014; May 19, 2014; and, June 3, 2014).

Our records indicate that Mr. [redacted] made his first three payments in full and on time; however, we have no record of having received Mr. [redacted]’s final payment of $75.00 on June 3, 2014. Our records reflect that Mr. [redacted] visited the CCCS retail branch on May 30, 2014 and, at that time, requested a new loan. I have spoken with the Customer Service Representative (“CSR”) that assisted Mr. [redacted] on May 30th to check into his claims that he was advised his loan was paid in full. The CSR states that Mr. [redacted] made no mention of a final payment or made any offer to make said final payment at that time. On June 3, 2014, when the branch manager of the CCCS location identified that Mr. [redacted] did not make his final payment, his check was deposited in accordance with his EPP Agreement for the final payment of $75.00 at that time, and it was subsequently returned as an unpaid item by his financial institution on June 10, 2014, due to non-sufficient funds. As of today’s date, Mr. [redacted] has an outstanding balance relative to this loan in the amount of $90.00 (his final $75.00 payment returned by his financial institution and a $15.00 returned check charge).

As previously stated, Mr. [redacted] obtained a new loan from CCCS on May 30, 2014. This loan had an agreed-upon repayment date of June 13, 2014, and he provided a check to pay the loan on that date. CCCS deposited the check and it was subsequently returned as an unpaid item by Mr. [redacted]’s financial institution on June 20, 2014, due to being drawn on a closed account. As of today’s date, Mr. [redacted] has an outstanding balance relative to this loan in the amount of $315.00.

As of today’s date, Mr. [redacted] owes an outstanding balance of $405.00 to CCCS relative to these two loan transactions. At this time, we have placed Mr. [redacted]’s CCCS account(s) in a “hold” status, meaning that our collections efforts have been temporarily suspended. We are doing this as an accommodation to Mr. [redacted] to allow him to contact [redacted], a senior supervisor in our collections area, to make arrangements for repayment of his outstanding balance owed to CCCS. Ms. [redacted] can be reached at ###-###-####, extension [redacted]; however, Mr. [redacted] must contact her by July 10, 2014. If we have not heard from him by this time, collection efforts on his outstanding account balance(s) will resume.

I sincerely hope that I have been able to address your concerns. Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.

Sincerely,

Joseph Mullin

Review: I am being harrassed both by this office and their corporate office as well. As of 01/14/2014, my phone logs show that they have called me 6 times daily on my cell, plus twice daily at work for $300. In addition, they are harrassing family and friends. When I pointed out to the corporate person that calling me 8 times daily will not make my employer pay me any faster, the corporate persons reply is that they can call me as often as they want. I am filing complaints with the Federal Trade Commission and the CA Attorney Generals office regarding their illegal, unscrupulous, and predatory collection practices. I am seriously considering w legal action against them due to their violations of the Fair Debt Collection Act either individually or as a class action.Desired Settlement: Cease and desist with the harrassment. Settle per their violations of the FDCA.

Customer Service personnel at the 555 Cedar Blvd, Newark, CA do not know their company's policies. When I asked to speak to a supervisor - was told she wasn't available; asked for manager's phone number and/or district manager's names and phone numbers to lodge my complaint, I was told r I they give that to me but they would give me their name and the number to the corporate office.
Corporate office person yelled and wanted to know when I was going to pay, they didn't care what my complaint was that was the store's problem, when was I going to pay or they would take legal action against me.
Store didn't want to hear about their problem either even if one of their customer service people was giving out incorrect information because she didn't know or understand the stores policies.
One of the employees became a parrot after speaking to her manager on the telephone. All of them are unbelievably ignorant especially the corporate office.
If they knew anything about business they would have listened to my complaint, said I'm sorry and that the problem would be corrected even if they didn't intend to correct it. Unprofessional!!!!!!!!!
