California First Remodeling

This company is very unprofessional. They were doing a bathroom for us Said it would take two weeks. It's been two months and still not done. They say they are coming over and they don't show up no call just don't come. They are very unreliable. They don't clean up after themselves.

So I have found the information in The Recycler and have them come over to give me a Free Estimate. They approached me never mentioning their names or the company they work for. 1 fella was caring a bunch of folders and paper but never event looking at them. They started to ask me about my vehicle which I thought had nothing to do with the work they are doing and even asked to see what other vehicles I have in my garage. I told them no. We go through the side of the house then they ask me about why I have certain stuff on the side of my house as if it was a concern and started to peek into my home without consent asking to see what was in my home,when all the work is outside so I denied them to look. They start to get amazing of my property and talk about having a party which bothered me. Also asked me when a certain someone comes home as of hours and days, another Concern that doesn't deal with the work they do (to many personal questions) I feel violated and harassed with their actions. Towards the free estimate they said they would need someones signature to get the free estimate, "for what reason" I feel like they are staking out my home to rob and have alerted the police.

Worked all day and did a great job. I would use your painters again. The area they worked on is even cleaner as they found it. Did a great job.

California First Remodeling's worker is all polite. I have a job done at my house and after the project has been completed already they still accommodate all my concerns. They deserve this 5 star rating because I am very well pleased. Workers are very good. Would recommend.

I would not recommend this company because:
They don't resolve issues, there bid was excessive, they started the job the next to avoid giving the customer 3 days to cancel - likely would have canceled only due to the price. They did not provide any warranty. I requested a receipt for the recess lights because the box indicates there is a five year warranty. The company did not provide the receipt for the parts after repeated requests. Additionally, they refused to send the electrician back to swap out a switch so that the lights would be on two curcuits as requested while using a remote. Finally there were a couple minor issues not addressed. I needed to have another contractor fix the issues. I did not have any problems with there contractors. I'd say the Revdex.com rating of a D+ is accurate.
