I am rejecting this response because:
I called Chrome Pros Plating and spoke with *** ***, I asked how much you would charge to powder coat my patio furniture*** said he would need to see a pictures of the furniture to give me a priceI sent him pictures of the furniture, after no response a couple hours later I called and ask him if he received the pictureHe said yes and for the powder coat job I would pay $I said it was a little high, and he told me it was because of the labor and all the work that would need to be put in because of how rusted they wereHe asked when I wanted to bring them in and I said it wouldn't be until Saturday, because I live an hour out of town and work Monday thru Friday 8-He said that was fine and told me to tell whoever I spoke to that *** sent meNever did he mention that they were closed on SaturdayI paid money to a friend for gas and she drove me to drop off my patio furnitureWhen I came in the doors were unlocked to the business, and the shop was full of employees working on other stuff, it seemed to be running as any usual day
*** told me it would take about 3-weeks to completeI took money out of each one of my checks to pay the $that would be dueOver almost weeks later I get a call from *** letting me know that the blue powder took a little longer than expected to arrive and that is why it took a little longer for production to be finished, I was understanding
Then *** tells me nonchalantly that my total will be $I was in shock! I said, *** this is not what we agreed uponYou told me it would cost $to get my pieces of patio furniture powder coatedHe said there must be some kind of mess up in the notes that he would talk with the management and have it fixed and then he would call me back
He calls back a little later and tells me my new total will be $
I said, No *** I'm not paying $You told me $400.00, which I already thought was very steep pricing to begin with, I had to beg my husband to have my furniture redone for $because that is a lot of money to usIt took me a while to save that moneyHe said, well it needed more work than we initially thought and we replace the hardware(Screws) I told *** I didn't have that kind of money*** said that he would talk with *** about coming down on the price
So *** calls me a little later and says the *** will come down to $I told ***, that still wasn't $I was promised it would cost me $not a penny moreThe $was no quoteWhen I called to get pricing, and we talked and he said the price to have all the work done it would cost $I asked if there would be any extra fees, he said noI asked if it would cost any extra for different colors of paint for the body and trim, he said noI confirmed the grand total for everything was $He said yesI made sure that was going to be the final price
After I refused to pay the price of $and that I wanted to speak to the ***, he said the *** would give me a call
When the *** *** ***, calls and speaks to me, he said that he was already giving me a good price considering they went above and beyond replacing the hardware for meI used to work at a hardware store, although it cost, it does not cost $or anywhere near, hardware is cheap??" Even when working at a furniture store we would just give it away…
Also, may I add I never told them to put new hardware in place that is something I already knew I could get for free, and was planning on replacing it myself, so that I wouldn't have to worry about any upcharges
The *** *** told me the price stood firm at $650.00, I told him that was not what I agreed on when I handed over my furnitureHe asked what I wanted out of this, and I told him that I wanted to pay the price that was given
I then said I do not want to have to take this to small claims court or file a complaint with Revdex.com, all I want is my furniture at the agreed upon price
That upset *** and he then asked if I was threatening himI said no I'm telling you I do not want to take this situation that far, that all I want is my furniture is to pay the price given and I don't want to pay more than the promised amount*** said that is a threat and that he could threaten me by selling my furnitureI immediately was at his mercy, as this furniture belonged to my deceased grandmother and is a family heirloomHe said I’ll give you the price of $but that is my final offerAfter he told me he would sell my furniture that had been in my family for years, I felt compelled to pay the upcharge of $to get it away from themI immediately called my husband and told him the whole story, he went straight there and picked my furniture up and paid the $as we were worried to leave it there and take a chance of them damaging or selling it out of spite
After the *** had given me the final price of $he said he would paint me a pitchfork or hammer if I wanted for free, I told him no that was ok, all I wanted was the price that was givenI thought about it later, a pitch fork come on, really
I started looking on their Facebook page and at their reviews on google, yelp and other sitesIt turns out this business is notorious for doing the exact thing they did to me, to other people
There are a lot of people who have stated they went way above the price initially given, and eta was longer than promisedI should have read their reviews before ever trusting this very crooked businessThey scam hardworking people who trust them and give them their word as they did me and numerous other victims
I would have come and picked my furniture up had Chrome Pros Plating called and said my furniture would be over times the amount promisedThey never called, they never told me up front, “hey the price could or would change”, now I see why *** didn't respond back to the message to give me the price, when I sent my picture, he did not want the evidence showing that he gave me a firm price of $Also why there are no memos in their books showing that we went over pricingThis company is highly UN professional in the way they do businessI will never associate with them again, however I want to be reimbursed $that is rightfully mine first
