California Legal Pro's Incorporated Reviews (26)

Their website shows multiple offices in both Northern and Southern California but it is all one woman, Robin H[redacted], and there is no manager or corporate office with which to file a complaint.
Do not get scammed by this company the way I was! I hired them and paid them hundreds of dollars to file my small claims court paperwork. It took them over 1 month to file and then the court date was on a date where I am out of town. I still never received any paperwork from them about my court date or information on where/when to show up. They were supposed to go back and refile with the court for a new court date but it's a month later and they still haven't filed. They refuse to return phone calls or emails and finally after sending them several emails and phone calls, I had to threaten to sue them to get them to return my email (the irony!). It's a few days prior to my original court date and they just now tell me that they are unable to go refile at the new court because they don't have time. So now I'm stuck going to the court to get a new court date and I should have just handled all of this myself from the beginning instead of paying for sub-par customer service and a job that wasn't done properly.
Learn from my mistake and do not use this company. They seem great at the beginning and are extremely responsive until you pay them and then it's impossible to get them back on the phone or via email.

Review: On January 20, 2015, We contracted California Legal Pros to help guide us through an uncontested divorce process and file the paperwork for us with Courts. We have had our case change to 3 different representatives to handle the documentation, none of which fully guided us through the process as promised. They initially charged me $1400, plus the filing fees. In October 2015 the communications ceased.

I called and emailed California Legal Pros repeatedly, and after many attempts, I finally got through to a new representative who took over our account and indicated she had submitted the final documents. Mind you there is no dispute and everything has been mutually agreed upon. We have drawn up and notarized a settlement, etc., so this should be smooth.

I called the [redacted] and they told me that the paperwork had been submitted incomplete and not within the proper handling order -- precisely what we hired them to do, to file for us so that we avoid errors and delay. It has been over a year and the guaranteed services still have not been rendered to agreed upon terms.Desired Settlement: I would like them to either finish the process immediately and without any further stress to either my soon to be ex-husband and myself or refund us for the services.

Response:

Please note that prior to the Revdex.com complaint, we had responded to the court with updated documentation. That documentation was mailed to the court on January 20, 2016. At this point, the documents remain with the court for processing. We will continue to monitor the court's progress on this matter. We have communicated all of the above to the customer.

Review: My name is [redacted] on 6/30/2015 I called California legal pros to get some help on a 3 day pay or quit for a tenant that didn't pay the rent on time I spoke to [redacted] and she asked me some questions in regards my tenant and I was advised by m[redacted] to send a 3 day pay or quit and a 90 day cancelation of the contract I was charged over 750 dollars for sending the two letters and I was told that I would be deducted only for the services rendered and I would get a refund of what ever money was not used depending On my way! How far the tenant challenged me in court. The tenant left after the 90 period and when I called legal pros to get the rest of my money back I was told that [redacted] was no longer working for the company and that a letter was going to be sent to the manager of Legal pros so I could get my money back and until now I have not heard from them. I need some help with this matter thank you.Desired Settlement: I would like to get my money back because the only thing that was done was to deliver 2 letters to my tenant.

Review: I requested services from California Legal Pros on an eviction. I am the landlord and I needed help to evict a tenant. I found that this company is a fraud. They do not have offices where they claim in their web site. All the telephone numbers they list go to the same person. Overall they do a terrible job. After the payment is made, there is no further contacts or follow-ups. Their incompetent personnel caused me to lose a lot of time and money because of the multiple mistakes they made in handling my case. The owner [redacted] refused to review my file because of the bad job his manager had done on the paperwork of the unlawful detainer unless I made additional payments. All of the eviction paperwork and documents they produced for the eviction were incorrect. They did not provide me with copies of the documents, and they also forged my signature. They then refused to answer my calls or to review their own work, and much more.Desired Settlement: I am requesting a refund of all fees paid to California Legal Pros, plus time lost and the cost of hiring another party to get the job done correctly, plus rental income lost due to the delay in the eviction caused by California Legal Pros. This amounts to $5,000.

Response:

California Legal Pros has been in touch with Ms. [redacted] and are attempting to work out an amicable solution that accomplishes her goal. We do have the offices in the locations indicated on our website. We are authorized to sign documents (only documents related to the client's eviction case) on behalf of clients by powers of attorney that clients sign and provide to us. We rely on those documents to help expedite the process. We have successfully worked on hundreds of evictions across California. This particular instance is a complicated one, but one we are attempting to resolve. We will provide an update to the Revdex.com once this is resolved.

Review: On March 27, 2015, I contracted California Legal Pros to help me secure a divorce from the California Courts. A person named [redacted] promised to work with me to secure my divorce for me. Her sister [redacted] and [redacted] handled the documentation. They said that it would take six months and by October 1, my divorce would be final. They initially charged me $314. Later on in July, [redacted] charged me an additional $450.23, which she claimed the California Courts just deducted from her account. In October, I kept waiting for my divorce to come through, but it never did. [redacted] became incommunicado. I called the Hayward Family Law Court and they told me that none of my documents had been submitted, except for the divorce itself which had been filed under Case Number **. [redacted].

I called California Legal Pros repeatedly, and after many attempts, I finally got through to a woman named [redacted] who took over my account. After a while, she also disappeared and a woman named [redacted] took over. I only had about three telephone conversations with her. After this I could not contact her or anybody else from this company anymore.

I sent 3 letters to their addresses by certified mail, asking for a refund, and they all came back, saying the letters were undeliverable.

As of now, my divorce is pending, and since I have subsequently moved to Louisiana, my divorce is in limbo and I hope it will not be dismissed.Desired Settlement: I would like them to finish the job that I paid for otherwise, I would like a full refund.

Review: I paid Ca Legal Pros in December of 2014 to complete my divorce paperwork. It has been a horrible experience dealing with this business. The manager [redacted] is rude and doesn't know anything about customer service. My current issue is that my ex- husband and I have emailed Ca Legal Pros several times over the past 2 weeks and have not received a response. I spoke to [redacted] who said he would take care of the issue and have someone respond. Nothing has happened and we still don't know what is going on with our case. All this was supposed to be completed in May 2015 per [redacted].Desired Settlement: I need my case to be completed ASAP! This was supposed to be completed in May.
