I was in the process of buying a company truck from the owner ***. I sent Mr *** a $500 deposit and flew down from Portland to Sacramento
to drive the truck back. The truck appeared to be acceptable and I paid him the balance with a cashiers check. I drove the truck around the corner to check out the 4 wheel drive set up up and to my surprise it was not a 4 wheel drive. Mr *** agreed to allow me to return the truck and have asked for over a month to receive the $ 500 deposit to no avail .
To whom it may concern,Mr. complaint is a civil issue and has nothing to do with Pavers Made Possible. Please remove this complaint as it is not valid.Thank you
Mr. and Mr. & Mrs. had a verbal conversation where they were notified the deposit was non-refundable. The deposit was a form of security to hold the vehicle until Mr. and Mrs. were able to pay the rest of the money and collect the vehicle. The attached contract that Mr. signed states that the sale is an “as-is” sale, no warranties, no guarantee, no returns of any kind expressed or implied. Mr. graciously took the truck back after Mr. decided to cancel the purchase and returned Mr.’s cashier’s check.

I am rejecting this response because:The invoice does say no returns but Mr *** did indeed accept the return as the truck was improperly advertised . No mention of the *** deposit was ever discussed as not being refundable . This does not make sense as the truck was advertised as a 4x4 and that is why Mr *** allowed it to be returned and should credit the deposit. The trip cost me well over $ 1000 to fly down, pay for two shuttles and then have to book a one way flight back to Portland. We were told someone in his office mistakenly advertised it as a 4x4 and they should take responsibility for there actions as they were not out monies by allowing us to drive down the street and realize that it was not what was advertised.
Business states that the deposit has been refunded.
Just finished a beautiful Bocce Ball court with retaining wall and drainage plus power washed, stained and sealed our concrete - some 6,000+ sq. feet. Now our backyard is ready for our summer activities. A big job with great results. Rob, project manager, has a goal - to satisfy his customer. He succeeded.
This company signed a contract to complete work in my backyard. They never contacted us nor returned our calls, even after the proposed start date had passed. When I finally talked with them they said they want to cancel the contract and would send back my $1000 deposit. Now they refuse to send back the $1000 deposit.
I am writing in response to the complaint made by ***. The contract was signed on (10/25/2017), and the approximate start date was November 25th, 2018. Pavers Made Possible was waiting on a few final details such as what type of pavers and color as well as several other TBD items on the contract. These details were not decided on until November 29th, after the approximate start date. Due to the indecision, we had to move foreword with other signed contracts. Starting other projects meant this contract was pushed a bit, and we were not able to start when the client desired. We made multiple attempts to contact, meet with, and work with the client so that we could move foreword with their project. Prior to the complaint made with the Revdex.com, the client informed us that they hired another company and had their project completed without allowing Pavers Made Possible to complete the contract originally agreed upon. In our contract there is a three day right to cancel from the original signature date, which allows the client to receive their deposit back in full. The client was fully aware of this clause.

I am rejecting this response because: the business claims "multiple attempts were made to contact me", and that statement is false. There were zero attempts to contact me in the month before the start date. In addition, I contacted them at least 10 times over a two week period and never got called back. The only way I was able to speak with someone was after leaving a one star review when I gave up hope a month later. I was contacted immediately. This is poor business practice at best, and now they will not return the deposit even though they blew off my job completely.
I am rejecting this response because: setting an approximate start date implies that communication will occur near the start date to set an actual date. The company refused to call back after repeated attempts to contact including multiple messages left with a live receptionist. The ratings were submitted after many weeks of not hearing anything back from the company while we continued to reach out. Imediately after posting a review the company finally reached out offering to cancel the contract. After we accepted, they did not refund the deposit as they promised, and nobody we spoke to remains employed by this company. The job was abandoned and we stand by the abandonment claim. We also request the company stand by their offer to refund the deposit.
Attached is a copy of the Change Order that is signned by ***. Its is dated November 29th, which is four days after the approximate start date. Proving that the statement "They never contacted us nor returned our calls, even after the proposed start date had passed. " is false. They decided on the desired material on Nov. 29th, 2017 after the approximate start date, Novermber 25th, 2017 had passed. Once the change order for the chosen material was signned, we were able to add them to our startable projects. The ***'s informed us that they had their project completed by another company while in contract with Pavers Made Possible.
