Our technician [redacted] repaired Mr [redacted] 's cooler prep table back on October 16th, where he replaced a defective thermostat on this same unit he is complaining aboutThe charges for this repair, including labor, materials and tax was $which Mr [redacted] paid (evidence of this will be supplied on request in writing)This same unit has been running since that date until a problem developed with this same unit on Dec 28, Our technician [redacted] responded to the call and found the unit running at '0' psig on the low side of the system coupled with a psig head pressure which could indicate two possible problems, a low charge of gas (indicating a leak somewhere in the system) or a plugged capillary tube [redacted] combed the system for a leak, no leaks were notedKeep in mind that a 'partially' plugged cap tube causing low suction pressure can be overcome by adding more gas to raise the head pressure to increase the crippled suction pressure but this approach is very detrimental to the compressor life, especially so when operating in high ambient temperatures such as in the summer timeTherefore, our technician [redacted] determined the best long term approach for this particular problem would be to replace the partially plugged cap tube and verbally gave Mr [redacted] an estimate to replace that cap tubeMr [redacted] declined the repairs and there were no charges for this service call [redacted] wrote an bill for troubleshooting this unit but then voided the bill out as a courtesy to Mr [redacted] The gentleman from [redacted] did not find a leak in the system either but chose to add additional gas to the system and said he'd come back and fix it if there is a leak (?)We believe that if a system is low or empty of gas that there must be a leak somewhereSo if no leaks are found coupled with high head pressures (which indicates the system indeed has gas) then the problem must be elsewhere (a partially plugged cap tube would be the most likely suspect)The thermostat that [redacted] replaced on October 16th, is still functioning properly and not the cause of this problem noted on Dec 28, 2015, therefore, we contest the demand from Mr [redacted] for a refund of $for replacing the Thermostat on Dec 28, which is still functioning properly to this dayMr [redacted] ’s statement saying that his colleagues saying that we are untrustworthy is totally untrueMr [redacted] 's statement that [redacted] said we might have left the cooler in that state so the problem would occur is totally out of line, conclusive and without facts, as a matter of fact, it’s crazy, this gentleman is obviously trying to make us look bad in front of Mr [redacted] Statements such as this boarder’s serious deformation of charterI don't think Mr [redacted] is trying to get something for nothing, he is a very nice man and is obviously very upset with what he is hearing from the gentleman from [redacted] Basically, a total misunderstanding of technical information and deceptive remarks from [redacted] is at play here, after all, one would have to have extreme technical knowledge of refrigeration and electrical fundamentals to totally understand what is going on with this refrigeration unitCalifornia Refrigeration Co [redacted]

Our technician [redacted] repaired Mr. [redacted]'s cooler prep table back on October 16th, 2015 where he replaced a defective thermostat on this same unit he is complaining about. The charges for this repair, including labor, materials and tax was $309.25 which Mr. [redacted] paid (evidence of this will be...

supplied on request in writing). This same unit has been running since that date until a problem developed with this same unit on Dec 28, 2015. Our technician [redacted] responded to the call and found the unit running at '0' psig on the low side of the system coupled with a 160 psig head pressure which could indicate two possible problems, a low charge of gas (indicating a leak somewhere in the system) or a plugged capillary tube. [redacted] combed the system for a leak, no leaks were noted. Keep in mind that a 'partially' plugged cap tube causing low suction pressure can be overcome by adding more gas to raise the head pressure to increase the crippled suction pressure but this approach is very detrimental to the compressor life, especially so when operating in high ambient temperatures such as in the summer time. Therefore, our technician [redacted] determined the best long term approach for this particular problem would be to replace the partially plugged cap tube and verbally gave Mr. [redacted] an estimate to replace that cap tube. Mr. [redacted] declined the repairs and there were no charges for this service call. [redacted] wrote an 89.00 bill for troubleshooting this unit but then voided the bill out as a courtesy to Mr. [redacted]. The gentleman from [redacted] did not find a leak in the system either but chose to add additional gas to the system and said he'd come back and fix it if there is a leak (?). We believe that if a system is low or empty of gas that there must be a leak somewhere. So if no leaks are found coupled with high head pressures (which indicates the system indeed has gas) then the problem must be elsewhere (a partially plugged cap tube would be the most likely suspect). The thermostat that [redacted] replaced on October 16th, 2015 is still functioning properly and not the cause of this problem noted on Dec 28, 2015, therefore, we contest the demand from Mr. [redacted] for a refund of $309.25 for replacing the Thermostat on Dec 28, 2015 which is still functioning properly to this day. Mr. [redacted]’s statement saying that his colleagues saying that we are untrustworthy is totally untrue. Mr. [redacted]'s statement that [redacted] said we might have left the cooler in that state so the problem would occur is totally out of line, conclusive and without facts, as a matter of fact, it’s crazy, this gentleman is obviously trying to make us look bad in front of Mr. [redacted]. Statements such as this boarder’s serious deformation of charter. I don't think Mr. [redacted] is trying to get something for nothing, he is a very nice man and is obviously very upset with what he is hearing from the gentleman from [redacted]. Basically, a total misunderstanding of technical information and deceptive remarks from [redacted] is at play here, after all, one would have to have extreme technical knowledge of refrigeration and electrical fundamentals to totally understand what is going on with this refrigeration unit. Review: The technician from calrefrigeration named [redacted] had come to fix my cooler prep table back in october. he did repair it and after 2 months in december the same unit was not functioning at all. I realized that it was out of their warranty but I had them come in for a diagnostic anyways with the same guy. He came in and told me that it was another complicated issue which would require a large sum of money. I did not go ahead with the repair because it was a lot of money and it would make sense for me to get a new appliance all together. I was pulling my hair out for the next few days to try and find another machinery. After I talked to a few colleagues and told them that I had contracted calrefrigeration, they told me that they are not very trustworthy. hence, I decided to get a second opinion and like my friends had said the guy [redacted] had given me a wrong diagnostic and wanted to over charge me. The next technician that I brought in said it was a simple fix and would not cost a fortune and so he did. He even said that the previous technician might have left the cooler in that state so that the problem would occur because he did not find any existing leak/problems in the system. hearing that made me furious. I contacted the same person and asked to speak to his boss asking what kind of scam were they working on? He replied you are very difficult to work with and want warranty on repairs. well is that wrong? he also said that the boss did not want to speak to me and yelled have a better luck with your next repairman and hung up.Desired Settlement: Its because of these kinds of individuals that we are having struggles trusting people. they are making a bad rep for the profession.I would want a formal apology by the company and a refund of the first charges ($309.15) that I had paid for the initial repairs. I would also want to be compensated for 10 hours of my time ($75/hr) wasted for finding a solution to a problem that wasnt there in the first place.
