Thank you for giving us the opportunity to resolve this internal billing issue....
The continued statements with a balance due was due to a coding miscommunication between the insurance carrier and our billing department. We have resolved the matter and brought the patient’s account to a zero balance.
A copy of this letter and zero balance statement has been sent to Ms. [redacted].

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. The business has not responded so I do not consider this complaint closed. If anything, it points out how terrible this company is and that they do not care what their customers think of them.

In response to the consumer’s letter, the consumer stated in the letter that the front office stated that we would waive the co-pay.
It is out policy to never waive a co-pay. My staff is not authored to waive a co-pay because they have been educated in the fact that when waiving a co-pay we are committing insurance fraud with our contracts with various payers.
My billing company “PRN” in Carlsbad CA. off shored operations approximately 1 ½ years ago which significantly delayed all billing procedures. Unfortunately there was many bills sent out 1 to 1 ½ yeas following service and appears that this customer was one of those patient’s.
At this time I will waive the co-pay equal to $120.00 for the 5 visits. Please let it be known that again my staff was not authorized to waive the co-pay because they understand this is insurance fraud. I have been in business for 30 years and this is my first Revdex.com complaint and unfortunately I must acquiesce.
Sincerely,
