Review: Order placed on February 9, 2014 and confirmed by an e-mail from [email protected] for order #[redacted]. Total order was for $417.66 plus $82.68 shipping for a grand total of $500.34. Company's web site indicates delivery is 4-6 weeks with a 10 day delivery window. I called at the end of 8 weeks to find out the status of order (had to leave a message). That call was answered approx. 8 days later and the owner told me it had been shipped but that he had to go through a large stack of paperwork to find the UPS tracking number and he would call me the next day. He never called me. After a week I called again and had to leave a message. The owner called back and left a message that the shipment had been damaged and was to be returned to him that day (April 14) and he would call back with what he would be doing to ship the order again. He never called. I called on April 17th requesting another update (he never called me back). Called again on April 24th requesting another update (he never called me back). Called again today April 30 and had to leave a message. If he calls me back I will let you know.Desired Settlement: I would like the shipment information within the next week or by May 9, 2014 or a complete refund of the charges to my credit card by that date.

Review: February 12, 2015The California Roadbed Company failed to deliver a $94.34 order from December 11, 2014. The company promised the order within two to four weeks. Our credit card was charged in early January 2015 yet still no merchandise. We have attempted to contact the company via email (three times) and phone (four times) for the past two weeks with no success. The Revdex.com of Northeast California has an old address for this company. The new address of the California Roadbed Co., Inc. is:[redacted]. The President is Mr. [redacted].Desired Settlement: My wife and I would like to hear from Mr. [redacted] to see if this dispute can be settled either with receiving the merchandise we ordered or getting a refund.

Review: The California Roadbed Company failed to deliver an order for $306.00 from January 2015. They charged my credit card on January 7, 2015 but it's been 13 weeks and still no merchandise. I have attempted to contact the company via email and phone (They have changed their phone number 3 times) for the past few weeks and finally the owner did call me back a few weeks ago and said he would ship out my order but never did. I want a FULL refund of my money and to warn others of the fraudulent behavior of California Roadbed so this doesn't happen to any more people. It looks like from the other complaints listed here and in forum posts that they have done this to many others as well, not just me. I've ordered many train items and things from various companies online and never had any problems until now. Buyer BEWARE when ordering from this company!Desired Settlement: I want a FULL refund of my money.

Order Revised: March 10. Modified by email and confirmed by phone deleting the 8' units and increasing the 48' units. Company indicated the order would ship shortly.

Credit card charged $157.02 on March 21.

I sent emails requesting the status of the order on April 8, April 16, April 30, May 2, May 9, May 17, May 30, June 5. I also made 2 or three phone calls.

The only response I have received is an April 25 email from Mr. [redacted] saying he would check out the status. He did not send any further information.

In a May 23 phone call to the company, I was told by Mr. [redacted] that the product would ship the next day, May 24. As of June 7, the product has not been received. I have had no indication the product shipped.

Desired Settlement: Either ship the order within 2 week or issue a refund check.

Review: Non-delivery of order. Will not reply to repeated phone messages and emails. On January 18, 2014, I placed an on-line order for some HO scale roadbed. I received confirmation number [redacted]. My credit card was billed on 1/20/14. According to CalRoadbeds websites FAQs my order should take four to six weeks to produce and up to 10 days for delivery. I contacted Calroadbed on 2/28/14 via their website Contact Us page. A company rep contacted me by phone on 3/3/14 and stated my order had been shipped on the 20th of February 2014 but they did not have a tracking number. They stated they would reship on 3/5/14. I emailed again on 3/12/14, called on 3/14/14 and 3/18/14 with no response. I have used their product in the past and would like to use it this construction project.Desired Settlement: I would prefer the product delivered in the next two weeks otherwise a refund in the same time frame.
