California Tax Service Reviews (%countItem)

I did not complete tax service with California Tax Service, Inc. Overall, there are 4 members that operate a LLC Business (When Ur Smilin). My partners got their taxes completed by another vendor (Rantax Inc). I was going to use CA Tax Service for myself only and provided our LLC informatoin and told him this is for myself. *** with California Tax Service, generated some tax documents for all members. Before doing this he did not disclose a price or invoice and advised that he will mail the tax documents and invoice with directions to mail forms to the IRS. After Receiving the invoice of %500.00 and tax documents for all LLC members including myself I discontinued his service. Months later I received a bill for $500.00 that was 90 days past due. Prior to this I had a my taxes completed by Preparer Metin with Rantax Inc in R. Cuamonga, CA. I believe that *** with CA Tax Service, Inc did not practice fair tax service and his bill is invalid.

RE - The Prevail Group LLC DBA When UR Smiling

Dear Ms.:

Deleon M. *** who filed the complaint was actually a client of Professional Tax Service (an associate company that I also prepare some tax returns) who was a member of The Prevail Group, LLC and had already filed his tax return and was going to amend it because did not want to show the loss from this LLC on his original tax return. I did not prepare this tax return but that is what I heard.

The return that I prepared was for The Prevail Group, LLC (form 565) which had 4 members. How the other members had their personal tax returns done had no bearing on the LLC tax return. I do not know if they prepared their personal tax returns before they received the K-1 from the LLC and had to amend or not. I prepared the form 1065 and 565 for his as he requested and he signed the 8879 for both the federal and the state and was going to send me payment later. When he picked up the tax return in April 2018 the actual bill was included with the return. After the return was picked up I never received a phone call From Mr. regarding any problems with my bill for services. The bill he says he received 90 days after I prepared the return was actually a statement in which we send out a few times a year to remind clients that they have not paid. If Mr. had a problem with the bill I would have appreciated if he could have provided me the courtesy of call me before he filed a complaint with the Revdex.com. I would have been able to work something out with him.

The return was completed by me and was E filed with the Internal Revenue Service and the Franchise Tax Board. Based on his complaint l can't help it that he did not understand that apparently he does not understand that all of the income and expenses are reported by the LLC and then the members receive a K-1.

Since I do not send bills to collection agencies so it will not have any effect on his credit but as of today since he picked up the return Mr. has made no attempts with my office to resolve this matter.

Sincerely, *** M.

I am rejecting this response because:

Hello *** and thank you for your efforts,

I have read the response and would like to briefly add if I may.

I was referred by a another tax vendor that filed my personal tax. I than contacted Mr. Office for doing a K1 to amend my taxes, in which I made an appointment.

When we first started and I explained my situation I clearly told him that this filing is just for myself for my LLC business that I run with 3 other members and I told him not to include my partners into my dealings with him as they had filed their business tax with another tax vendor. I also asked him for the amount the first time, in which he did not disclose and he told me that he will send me an invoice with some documents he had prepped. I provided him my information from my company and he produce four documents total for myself and three of my business partners. I asked him why did he produce these docs for all the members and he advised that since we are partners he had to make the documents for all members. He advised me that once I receive the mail with the tax docs, he advised to mail it to the irs, in which he provided the address.

Once I received the mail and saw the bill for $500.00 that includes a Partnership fee of $300.00, Processing fee $100.00 and Computer Fee for $100.00. I knew that this was not billed correctly. I asked my partners about the service that they have received and they advised that this is incorrect and that they did not have to produce anything docs for each member, because the business is linked, in which the vendors processed each member separately. I went to Mr. website and contacted him through http:/***/ and advised him of my dispute with 2 attempts. After 1 month time from not hearing from him I reached out to Revdex.com for help in this dispute. I advised on the 2nd message "If I do not hear from him in the next several weeks I will take farther actions to assist in this matter."

I discontinued Mr. Service and went with another Tax Vender in Rancho Cucamonga and had the new vendor file on my behalf. I did not use Mr. documents. Attached you will see another bill that I received from Mr. Office.

Overall, as long as the bill is not reported to collections I am find, but I no longer want to receive these billing notices asking for $500.00 for a service I never completed and for a service that I feel is not by standard practice of a Tax Vendor. I have had tax service prior for many years and my past vendors always disclose the amount in person and request that I sign an agreement form showing that I accept the fee (in person). Even the tax vendor that referred me to him disclosed the amount before processing my personal tax documents and I signed an agreement form. Mr. can keep the bill for his records, but I would like to kindly asked for this not to be reported to collections nor do I want to see this bill mailed to my address. In all essence the bill should be removed for improper tax handling.
