Call Dolly Reviews (%countItem)

Call Dolly helped us both in buying a house and selling a house. They are professional, knowledgeable, and terrific in handling the myriad of details that keep the process rolling.

We have been completly satisfied with Call Dolly's servics, their tream has managed our property since 2008. They work with us to keep repair costs reasonable and there tennant vetting process is exceptional resulting in long term stable leases. Our work keeps us out of the country for years at a stretch so it is critical for us to have management in place that shares our values and our desire to provide quality housing options and maintain our investment.

Call Dolly, LLC managed my property from 2009 until a few months ago when I sold the house. I have lived on the East Coast the entire time I have used their services. I have had nothing but a great experience with them.

Without exception, every tenant in the house was superb. Every tenant they found kept my house in exceptional condition and were great to have living in the house. The tenants cared for my house as much as I did! Also, the tenants they found stayed and renewed for several year long leases. In the 11 years Call Dolly managed my property I only had 3 different tenants. It was wonderful to not have to find a new tenant each year.

Call Dolly made sure the rent was always on time to them, and I was always paid quickly. Any repairs needed were quickly communicated to me. Once I approved the repair the work was done quickly. The office was always responsive to anything I needed. I highly recommend them.

Dolly manages property and does not inspect the ones who rent from owners she manages, We had damages from one of the properties she manages and telling we must use their company to have it inspected and not our own. As a home owner we have the right to pick our own inspector which is *** insurance. I ask her that she needed to get in contact with the owner so we can get in touch with their insurance company and she said we are not going that round. This is the third time in 3 years we had a issue with that property and The Call Dolly company who suppose to make sure that the property is maintain so other properties around them is not effect. Plus it is their job to make sure that the people who is renting goes by the tenet laws. There is 5 people living in a two bed room condo which is illegal. Be aware before using them.

is a very rude business owner. We have been renting from them for almost two years. When an issue with the property becomes broken or needs fixing, they do not fix within a timing matter and are very rude about it. They never told us they didn’t own the property or had to pay for gas/electric/water/sewer before we moved in. They decided to tell us a month later. The first experience was the first few days when somebody tried breaking into the property through the backdoor. This was not fixed for about a week while I was home alone and my husband was out of town. The owner of the property came over to fix it and handed out his number with the directions of contracting him first if anything is wrong with the property. I advised to him before he handed out his number that Dolly herself hung up on me for requesting fast service since it is a safety issue. The owner did not like that. He threatened *** about pulling the contract. The second experience was when the water heater went out and the owner advise he would let *** fix this problem. *** sent over a maintenance guy to “try” to fix the problem. All he did was turn on the pilot light and then leave. No hot water and the pilot light went off ten minutes later. We contracted the maintenance guy and he said he can come back and check it. Within that time I had my father come over and look at it. He figured out the problem right away. I suggested that to the maintenance guy. He did not listen, instead he did the same thing when coming back the next day. After this time I contracted ***. I was rudely hung Up on and asked rudely if I have paid my gas bill, which I had. It then took three days for them to find their old maintenance guy who had quit. That maintenance guy came over and was very nice and knew the problem right away. He then stated that he left *** due to their “high school drama and unprofessional ways”. He stated that he left *** due to them not paying him for the work he had done and days off while attending to his sick wife who just gave birth. *** then advised she did not us contracting the owner because that is what the lease stated, which it does not. Not anywhere. We asked for some money off for next months rent due to the maintenance not being effective enough. She declined and sent a rude message back.
We will no longer be renting from *** as soon as our lease is up or they pull another stunt. They will also be contracting our lawyer with any problems or communication. I highly
Do not recommend *** for renting or buying services. I have heard several other renters have the same problems.

I had an appointment for a showing at a house at 5pm Saturday with *** I made the appointment on Monday with her. About 3:45 Saturday I called her because I was done early with another showing and no answer, called again 10min later and left a voice mail. Took my time and made it to the house a little before 5pm. Waiting for *** to show up. 5:15 comes and I call her. She says the property got rented and I was supposed to get a call from her agency but I didn't. I asked since I took time out of my day to go to the appointment and was sitting in front of the house waiting if she could show me another property on the website I wanted to look at and she said she was already busy with something else. Meaning she booked something without contacting me when I already had an appointment with her. Call *** wasted my time and gas and was not considerate of their customers. I do not recommend

On 1/16/18 I talked with *** about *** property that he and the owner had shown myself and my husband on 1/12/18. I was extremely honest about our financial situation since we are currently in bankruptcy. I had asked Mr. if this would be a problem because I did not want to spend $60.00 on an application fee ($30 fee for myself and $30 fee for my husband) if we were going to be rejected because of the bankruptcy. That is a lot of money based on our financial situation. He told me it would probably not be a problem but it was up to the owner for final decision. When I got the denial letter back it had the credit box check as the reason of denial. The exact reason why we did not to go through the process and spend $60.00. Also the exact reason why we explained our situation to Mr..

I also noticed on 1/18/18 the same day we put the credit application in, the owner took her postings of the rental property down on the websites of *** and ***. As of 1/22/18 the rental property was taken off the Call Dolly website.

When I first saw the posting on *** Market I reached out to the owner on 1/8/18 on *** messenger. She had explained the property was for rent and the tenant was moving out soon. At that time we planned to meet on 1/12/18 to view the property. On 1/11/18 the owner contacted me via *** messenger and asked if I wanted to buy the property because she selling instead of renting. I told her no that we were not looking to buy. I ended the comminucation and thought we were done. On 1/12/18 the owner contacted me via *** messenger and asked if we still wanted to view the rental property. When I questioned her about not selling the property she stated that she wasn't sure if the condo association would let her rent the property. This is after she told me the tenant was moving out in January.

The $60.00 was refunded to them with Call Dolly paying it, as the agent and owners would not accept responsibility on this matter.

Revdex.com:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Sincerely

I completed my walk thru on 9/26/2017. I am due a refund of my security deposit in the amount of $1700. I received a refund of $1417.09. I spoke with Dolly on 10/10/2017 who then advised me that a H20 protector was missing, light bulbs blown and no batteries in the smoke detectors. None of the above named items are documented on the attached move out inspection report. therefore I am due a refund of $182.91 less $100 to clean the carpet.

Call Dolly Response

The walk-through checks for visible damage. We don't check every light bulb or smoke detector. When our maintenance contractor did the make-ready for inspection, he found the CO (Carbon Monoxide) detector missing. Tenant had referred to this as a H2O (water) detector. Also noted one or more smoke detectors chirping, indicating low or missing batteries, and a burned out bulb. These items are considered tenant responsibilities per the contract.

The carpets were cleaned, with an invoice of $150.00. I don't know where tenant arrived at $100.

Invoices from both the carpet cleaning company and the maintenance company are attached, you will note that we do NOT mark up invoices, they are billed at the same rate as we were charged.
