Our household goods were just delivered to our new home after five months in storage. Furniture arrived in excellent condition, the inventory process confirmed everything that went into storage came out of storage, and communicating with the company during the time period we were working with Call the Movers was remarkably easy. Call The Movers are simply the best. Linas was superb to work with as I needed to move some but not all of my mom's stuff from her condo Virginia to her new assisted living place New Jersey my town. Rosie, Elena and Alexander packed mom's pictures and other sentimental items with the greatest of care. On moving day, a team of six came and efficiently and carefully loaded the truck and then after a very long drive Rosie, Alexander and MC did a super fantastic job of not only unloading everything into my mom's assisted living unit, but setting everything up, unpacking, putting clothes and items in the right drawers and places, and taking away every box and bit of wrapping paper. From my initial call to Linas to the careful, caring work of Rosie, Alexander and MC, I had one less worry and could spend my time focused on mom.

This company is great. We couldn't have been more pleased with Linas, Jason and team. Our goods were professionally wrapped and take care of from beginning to end. Would definitely recommend their services to someone moving households, whether its nearby or in another state.

Pricy but worth the money. I had antiques , crystal and porcelain collections that were very fragile. The packing was great and everything was perfect when it was unwrapped. The gentlemen who did the move are to be commended for the care they showed for our possessions. They worked for days without complaint and did whatever we requested. Highly recommend.

For me to give 5 stars to a moving company is like Simon C giving a standing ovation to a singer. I went through two consecutive moving experience in 2018 first of which involved FBI investigation (and ultimately indicting them), and a litigation attorney suing the second company. I had to see a counselor to go through the tough times. The first company basically took my belongings as a ransom and I had to cough up a large amount of $$ to get my household goods back. Because of this ordeal, I had to live in an empty place for 6 weeks. The second moving company subcontracted the moving operation down to the level they did not even recognize who actually moved my stuff. So you can imagine how much caution and skepticism I applied in interviewing yet another moving company in May 2019. In addition, my move was atypical in that my belongings were in three separate locations: the condo I was living in, and two storage units 4 miles away from the condo, but 8 miles away from the house I was moving into.
Linas came from Call the Movers, and provided me with an estimate. His estimate was the highest, and I was ready to ignore it. Then, I realized his estimate was broken into the categories and had a "binding - not to exceed" quote, which I was keen on. He asked a series of my questions timely. I interviewed three other companies, and while other companies had lower estimates, I could tell they were trying to "get in the door" first, which I was totally done with after the experience in 2018.
6 people arrived in the condo, and finished the work within 3.5 hours. I was somewhat nervous that it will go over 4 hours which was the time frame I could reserve the freight elevator for. The team led by Tapiwa (goes by "TC") was a group of veterans. Sean and Ben had decades of moving experience, and they acted as brains when it comes to figuring out the angles and directions to move large furniture pieces. They were very courteous and every now and then, gave me nuggets of great advice (e.g., I should not put the contents back in the fridge within 24 hours of moving - due to the gas being agitated and moved, the role of a piano board, etc).
When we went to the storage facility, it was apparent that the truck would not be able to hold everything there. Linas had predicted that would be the case, and had initially given the estimate of having two separate crews working at the same time to finish the work within a day. But, I pushed for one truck, and now we needed to make a second trip to the storage place after unloading everything from the condo and partial load from the storage. Due to this second trip we needed to push the uncrating and re-assembling work to the following day. While it was a binding quote for 10 hours, two more hours of labor fee was added to the final bill due to the second trip made to the storage, which is reasonable in my opinion.
The moving crew were very careful and respectful. They were very attentive in parking their truck, and did not mind making multiple tries to make the truck parked exactly the way they wanted to in order to minimize the interruptions to surroundings. They also took all the boxes and packing papers after we were done unpacking.
For the readers of this review, please consider the following:
1) just because you see a large # of positive reviews for a moving company in Revdex.com, it doesn't mean you should base your decision solely on it. You should read the reviews one by one carefully. Then, you can tell whether the reviews are fake or not. That's the mistake I made with the first moving company from 2018. They had 80+positive reviews in a matter of 5 months. After I realized that they took my belongings and disappeared, I read their reviews carefully, and felt extremely dumb that I did not pay attention to the contents of the reviews earlier. It was a compilation of fake reviews. I read the Revdex.com reviews for Call the Movers, I could tell that these are the legit reviews, and the rating carried the weight.
2) Don't go for the low ball estimate - get a binding not-to-exceed quote. You can go for the company who low balled you just to get the business, but you will pay more in your life expectancy, pain, sufferings and agony during the move. I do believe I lost at least a year or two in my life expectancy due to the move experience last year. The move with Call the Movers was a breeze, to the point that I felt even more dumb that I made those stupid mistakes last year.
3) Make sure to check the FMCSA and US DOT records. It tells you how many trucks the moving company has, what types of incidents they might have experienced, etc. I sure did this time, even though Linas brought all the evidence with him. The information he presented to me matched what was registered and recorded with FMCSA and US DOT.
I am now a proud resident of Vienna, VA. Left Texas last year, and it's been an involuntarily long journey, but I am so glad Call the Movers wiped out my trauma. Thank you Linas, Sean, Ben, Edga,Jonathan, Rob!!! Special thank you to Linas who came to oversee the crew on the second day to put together the grand piano.

Excellent service! We have moved a few times and Call the Movers were the best. Our items were carefully packed, stored and moved across the country including my car. I highly recommend.

Some of my things were stolen by a passerbyer and the guys from call the movers took care of me. The replaced all my items in 1 day! Their customer service was 100% thee best. Thank you CTM.??

While just completing our first phase of our relocation, Call The Movers team did an excellent job of coming into our home, inventorying and packing us up to store with eventually move south. I took a chance based upon the good reviews and ratings I had read about Call the Movers and was certainly not disappointed. Call the Movers did a great job moving me! I highly recommend Call the Movers. We selected them for our move from Springfield, VA to Lexington, VA and we are so glad we did! The crew arrived right on time and went straight to work. The entire crew was efficient, professional, and personable. They were just awesome to work with and made the move so much less stressful.
Approximately four weeks later I called our storage company to have our 16-foot storage pod (which we had loaded and placed in storage prior to putting our home on the market). I was extremely disappointed to learn, that due to our new location, the storage company would not be able to deliver the pod to us as previously promised. They informed me that our only option would be to rent a truck, load the contents of our pod onto the truck and transport it ourselves. The pod was located 180 miles from us and the thought of taking that on was overwhelming. In a panic I immediately called Linas for help. He provided a very reasonable quote over the phone and I arranged with the storage company for Call the Movers to unpack our pod. Next, I mailed him the key to the lock on the pod and texted him the unit number. On the agreed upon date the contents of our pod was transferred by a Call the Movers crew onto a truck, transported the 180 miles and moved into our home. Turned out that the two-man crew were both a part of our first move crew. It was great to see them again. Call the Movers made that move COMPLETELY stress-free! I highly recommend them.
