*** ***, We apologize for the miscommunication and inconvenience we caused you. Tony Honda Parts Department’s policy is to have customers prepay for all special order non-stocking parts; this policy encourages customers to return to have their special ordered parts installed
During the diagnosing process of the tail gate indicator light staying on, we inspected the tail gate latch electrical connector and found an intermittently bad switch that is built into the tail gate latchThe intermittently bad switch may work at times, however the correct long term repair is to replace the tail gate latch, which comes with the built in switch For customer satisfaction, we would like to refund the $you are requesting because we didn’t do an effective job of informing her of our “no refund policy” regarding special order non-stocking parts Thank you, Kurtis T*** Tony Honda Service Manager

In response to the complaint filed by *** ***, Mr*** is
correct in his assessmentUnfortunately, when the vehicle in question arrived
at the dealership it was mistakenly sold to another personIt was an honest
mistake on our part, certainly not intentional and we have revised our internal
processes to insure that an error like this does not reoccurWe have spoken to
Mr*** to express our apology and have refunded him his $plus an
additional $for his time and expenses incurred
Tony Honda has operated very successful in Hawaii for the past
thirty seven yearsWe pride ourselves in delivering great customer service and
we take it very seriously when we fall short of that markAs a show of good
faith and in an effort to regain his trust, we have offered Mr*** the
option to purchase a comparable vehicle arriving in early December, at a
discounted price
