Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below Please refer to attachment for details of why the matter is not resolvedCalvin's has not taken responsibility for the issue nor have they offered reimbursement as requestedI am again requesting reimbursement for expenses incurred and the cost of the dress Regards, [redacted]

I have read the complaint filed by *** and her side of the story is drastically different from what actually happenedIn the statement, she said that the dress is brand new however from my many years of experience all of my customers who have brought in a new dress have a price tag still on the
dressThey have told me not to cut away the price tag just in case they wanted to return the dressOn 5/27/when *** brought the dress to me, she never said the dress was brand new and there was no price tag so I had no idea that the dress was newOriginally she wanted the dress to cover her feet but to show the top of her shoe, and I did exactly what she wantedShe picked up the dress on 6/3/but she did not try it on in the shopThe next day she returned and said the dress was still too long, but it wasn't too longShe just changed her mind, now she wanted the dress to be even shorter to show parts of her toes and I hem up the dress only about half an inchI told her that I would not charge her for it, and I also told her that if she changes her mind like that next time then I will charge her moreIt took me four days to do the dress again, then when she came back to pick up the dress with the shoes that she wanted to wearShe tried it on right there and was very happy, saying thank you many times and then went homeAfter two days she called me and said the dress was dirty, I told her to come in and show me the dressWhen she showed me the dress I thought it was okay, there weren't any visible stainsShe told me to pay her back the $she paid for the dress to be hemI told her no because I have spent hours, not including the second time and now she wants me to pay her back in fullI was never rude to her, I simply told her to find another tailor to fix her clothes for her in the future since she falsely accused me of staining her dress. Three days later she comes back and demanded that I pay her $to clean her dress, again I told her noIn my six years of opening my own business, this is the first time someone has filed a complaint and it is not true at allShe altered many parts of the story, from saying that I failed to hem the dress properly even though she changed her mind, then stating that she took the dress home to try it on the second time I fixed it even though she tried it right at the shopIn the Desire Settlement, she even mentioned she that has been a customer for several years but she only started coming couple months ago and only came by a total of timesTwo of the times was just hemming pants for only $each and the third time was the dress, not a long time loyal customer like she statedIt is amazing how many lies she put in the complaint, I deal with my customers one on one and then personally work on their clothes myselfI definitely would not mistreat my customers because if I did I would be out of businessI wanted to respond to this complaint as soon as possible to clear up the issue, to keep my business integrity

Regards,
*** ***

I have read the reply from *** on 8/24/to my previous response, in this response I will keep to the main topic of the issueWhich is the stain or “stains” on the dress that was brought in, and how I’m not responsible for it*** again insist that she took the dress home when she picked it up the second time on 6/8/16, and I will again state that *** tried on dress in the shop without a doubtAt that time she was satisfied with how the dress looked and there was no problem at all, she then took it home and called me two days later saying there is stains on the dress*** claims that she called me within minutes after she got home, and returned the same day after closing hoursAnother statement, even though I do stay at the shop to work extra hoursI do not serve any customers after closing hours and that is my strict policyThe following two sentences left me puzzled, “ There was no day lapse of timeThis can be verified by Calvin’s own pick up receipts as well as the date on the letter from the cleaner’s.” Well of course the pick up receipt shows that *** picked up the dress on 6/8/16, I’m not denying that at allHowever, the date on the letter from the cleaner’s is June 16,which is a span of eight daysThere is more than enough time, which again I think proves my side that she called two days after the pick upWhich would be on 6/10/16, there is still six more days for her to take it to the cleanerThe next sentence she said, “I did not ask for any money until 6/15/and asked only for reimbursement of the cleaning fee.” Even though when she came in to show me the stain she asked for a reimbursement for the tailoring fee ,then came again asking for the cleaning fee and now asking for the cost of the dress along with both feesAnother point I want to look at is from the first complaint mailed to me, “I saw many stains (looked like oil) on the dress.” *** is saying here that there is more than one stain, but here is a quote from the first sentence in the letter“A long purple dress was brought in to be cleaned by *** *** for an oil spot on the front of it.” Now apparently is there is just an oil spot according to the cleaners, *** also said the stains did not come out but most of it did as stated in the letter only a small residue of oil spot remainsI’m not responsible for the stain because when she tried it on in the shop there was no problem, then after two days she calledShe left satisfied with the dress, two days later there is reported stainsI have no idea what happened in those two days, and the reports are not matching upI will not pay for the reimbursement of $55, the unsuccessful cleaning of $35, or the cost of the dress
