These people have done me wrongI paid for a cottage and had to cancel three days later and they have done nothing but give me excuses for why they won't give me back my moneyThey have ruined my want to go to GeorgiaThey will not work with you unless they are taking your moneyThey did not honor the contract and now I am taking legal action against them

I am rejecting this response because:the owner of the property gives many details which I am sure are and also others which I suspect are false First, we paid a $maid fee which should cover any and all cleaning We were instructed per the agreement that we did not need to cleanThe dirt on floors and carpets was routine foot traffic Despite the statement of the owner we never had more than occupants I do not own a pet at all and refuse to pay any cost for this We did, however, observe a cat on the porches while there and assumed it belonged to a neighbor We did wash and put away all dishes and remove the garbage from the home The owners should realize that advertising their property as being a beach property would encourage renters to rent the home with the intent to use the beach The home was not equipped with outdoor showers or foot wash stations I have never rented a beach home that did not have this This would lead to less sand on shoes being tracked in and also prevent sand in hot tubs Being a pool owner myself, I know that a pool requires weekly service and this should be part of routine service between renters Upon arrival we observed the water looking dingy and added some of the chemicals left onsite No occupant with us ever vomited during the stay If candy or gum was found that I did not see, then I surely apologize but this does not require professional cleaning If there indeed was coloring marks, I would like to see the evidence and am willing to pay for such
In response to any disturbing of neighbors, I am also disputing this The neighbor came out and gave us permission to park one of our cars in her yard as the agent had given me parking available for cars when I called about this, but there was only room for She also spoke amicably to my children and offered them seashells to play withI would like to have some negotiation with the owner after viewing the pictures and receipts for necessary services after our departure We have attempted this by phone, but the owner refused any negotiation He has not provided pictures that he agreed to provide and flat refused to give receipts to prove that services were supposedly needed As I mentioned in the beginning, he gives several statements that I know to be false, thus I have no reason to believe anything that he says without evidence

We are happy to respond to this complaint, because the
information the customer is giving is almost completely false and the record
needs to be set straight about what actually occurred.
A reservation for the [redacted] cottage, which we...

own and
manage, was made directly on our website by [redacted] on 2/26/15 for the
period of 4/3 – 4/10/15. Our first indication that she was less than
cooperative was that, despite repeated reminders, she did not return her signed
paperwork as requested until she was told via email a few days before her
arrival that she would not be getting her check-in instructions until her
paperwork had been received by us.
When our housekeeper arrived at the property at 8:30am on
the morning of their check-out, April 10, 2015, to clean, she found the
property empty of occupants, but in deplorable condition, including the
following:

·          Lollipop sticks, candy wrappers and chewed gum
left all over the house and yard, candy stains on rugs. Chewed bubble gum in
drawers of the furniture and under beds on the rugs.·
Excessive dirt, food, debris left all over the
house.·
Magic Marker pen marks defacing four decorative
pillows, a coffee table book, the wood floors and the downstairs powder room
and front doors.·
Sofa cushions filthy.·
Floors covered with greasy residue.·
Food debris left on kitchen cabinets, floor,
appliances and on several pieces of cookware.·
Measuring cup missing.·
Vomit-stained bathmats in main bath.·
Urine on the floor in two corners.·
Evidence of an unauthorized pet, and pet feces
left in courtyard.·
Hot tub chemicals poured out on the ground in
the courtyard.·
About 10” of water out of hot tub, water was
yellow (urine?) and sand and debris had been dumped in it. Special spa
servicing was performed to clean the hot tub.·
2 stove burner trays left covered with baked-on
grease.
When I and my wife arrived at the property shortly
thereafter, we both witnessed much the same conditions. We also talked with the
immediate neighbors, who indicated that they had counted more occupants than
the 7 adults/children the [redacted]s’ had indicated were going to be in residence
during their week in the house; that the guests had brought a dog with them (which
they had not disclosed, nor paid a pet fee for); that the occupants had parked
illegally on one neighbor’s property and had refused to move when asked; that
one of the children in the party had been bouncing a ball off the side of
another neighbor’s car and—when the adult supervising the child was asked to
stop the child’s behavior—was told, “He’s not hurting your car,” and, in
general, making a nuisance of themselves.
The housekeeper ended up having to cancel her other
obligations for the day to stay and try to get the house cleaned up, including
having to wash the hardwood and vinyl floors several times to remove a sticky,
greasy residue that covered them, removing the vomit-stained rugs in the main
bath for professional cleaning off-site; scrubbing baked-on grease off the pots
and pans; and trying to get the magic marker stains off the decorative pillows
(unsuccessfully), among other extra efforts. The rugs all needed to be
professionally cleaned (though the cleaning did NOT remove the red lollipop
stains on the beige carpets). The hot tub had to have special servicing,
including fully draining the water out of the unit, chipping chewed gum off the
seat and removing debris off the bottom of the tub, refilling it, replacing and
adjusting the chemicals, etc.
When I called and spoke with Ms. [redacted]s, she refused to
admit any culpability for the condition in which they left the property and
minimized the extent of the damages. I advised her that we had taken pictures
(which we are happy to make available to the Revdex.com and to her) and that—under the
terms and conditions of the agreement she had signed with our company (a copy of
which we can also make available)--that she would be responsible for paying for
the damages caused by her rental party, and that a full accounting would be put
together of the charges and emailed as soon as the situation had been fully
assessed and documented.

Correspondingly, on Tuesday, April 14, we sent Ms. [redacted]s
the following email:
Dear [redacted]:
As I communicated to you on the phone Friday, we could not
believe the condition the [redacted] cottage was left in by you and your

pillows, a coffee table book, the wood floors and the downstairs powder room

and on several pieces of cookware.·

As per the signed agreement for the property and the email
she received, Ms. [redacted]s’ credit card was charged for the $848 the same day the
email was sent.
We feel that Ms. [redacted] is clearly in the wrong in this
situation and stand behind our decision to charge her for the damage she and
her fellow guests caused. We believe that she should not be allowed to
willfully or negligently ruin the property of others without paying for it.
We have rented this property to several hundred guests in
the past decade and have not experienced this degree of uncleanliness and willful damage.

We signed a two year lease on June 1, 2014 and home was broken into on June 29th. We spoke to landlord and he said that we could not change the lease to a 1 year instead of a two year. He was rude and uncaring. My son had to board up the window because it took 3 days for [redacted] to get window fixed. He is an arrogant business man. Our children are students at SCAD. About a month ago someone tried to break in garage. Today the police were at house again because someone tried to break in the window and alarm called police. [redacted] never disclosed the information to us nor has he replied to my recent emails or phone calls.
