A contract was signed for $3,500.00 based on agreed scope of work.(50% down payment.) [redacted], the owner called on 3/10/14 to let the customer know the truck had broken down over the weekend and was in the shop getting fixed.[redacted] had his rep from Binswinger glass came out and look at the design that the customer and I had agreed on.The sales Rep advise us the idea that we had was going to be very wasteful and not able to secure well with so many small pieces. The customer decided to go with the plans of Binswinger.
The customer and her husband was very satisfied with all the work. They told us every day what a great job that we were doing. We refinished the customers banister and it looked great. The customer had 4 children and they ran around the house and up and down the stairs and she couldn't seem to contain them.We had to continue sanding, coating, and touch up the wet banister with their hand prints so we had to refinish the banister which took us more days to complete. The desk that we were coating to match the front door had glass over the top of it. We removed the glass to match the door. A light sand, and coat. The wife noticed that there were water stains deep in the grain of the wood. So, we sanded and stained the water spots and that did not work. So, we advise her that the only way to get those out were to strip that top surface for $500.00 and they agreed but when the husband came home he said it looked great. Since, we were there to only put a color coat to match the front door. The customer lived on the other side of town and we always called her when we were stuck in traffic and running a little late.As far as asking for more money she owed a balance of $250.00 from the original contract which we never received.I called the customer when we were on her side of town to pick up our yard sign and to give her the paint. She said she would not be home for about another 45 minutes but we could not wait. No further cost estimates continue to change. Her husband was very happy with all work that was provided by Cam Contracting the prepare area for the glass we had to prepare it to a finish paint, etc. because you would be able to see area that we prepared for the glass installed. We think at this point it looked very nice and finished and did not look like a wet bat area. She thought the glass would look more like a glass coffin and use that excuse to stop the project there. We have been in business for 25 years and this is the first complaint from the Revdex.com. We always aim to please our customers. I apologize that the customer was not happy. We want all of our customers 100% satisfied .
We feel we could pursue this further do to breech of contract. We also have all pictures of the job.
Thank you,
