I order a vehicle frame through their website that this business normally had listed for $7700.00 but was on sale for $7600.00. I received a call a week later stating that the price had gone up almost $1000.00 and they wouldn't honor the sale price posted on the website.

Not applicable I would prefer they honor the price that was posted but know that is unrealistic.

We are very sorry for the inconvenience that the incorrect price might have caused. We reached out to our customer and explained that *** has had a price increase that was not yet updated on the site. We offered a discount and waved the incoming shipping charges to try and offset the price increase. Instead of a $800 price increase plus the incoming shipping charges we offered a $402.80 increase, basically making it an even wash. On many non-stocking items such as this custom frame we learn about the price increase as we inquire about the order. We work with hundreds of vendors to try and keep our pricing up to date but some slip through the cracks.
Under of Terms and Conditions on our site we have a statement to help out with such situations. https://www.camarocentral.com/terms.asp
"In the event that a Camaro Central product is mistakenly listed at an incorrect price, Camaro Central reserves the right to refuse or cancel any orders placed for product listed at the incorrect price. Camaro Central reserves the right to refuse or cancel any such orders whether or not the order has been confirmed and your credit card charged. If your credit card has already been charged for the purchase and your order is cancelled, Camaro Central shall issue a credit to your credit card account in the amount of the incorrect price."
Classic car parts and the materials used to reproduce them have been getting hit by Tariffs and other price increase now more than ever. This has now become a huge headache keeping up but we do try our best. We have been supplying classic car parts for over 25 years and have never had an issue like this. We hope to continue to help customers with their classic car part needs.

The phone call I received stated that the price had increased $1000 and they would discount that by $400. Also I had selected pickup at Camaro Central's showroom so I shouldn't have been charged shipping. Their ad didn't mention shipping from the manufacturer to the warehouse, only the possibility of local taxes which had already been applied to my order.
I checked with some other vendors and they had known about the manufacturers price increase over three years ago and had adjusted their regular prices then. If a vendor is going to list a sale price below their regular price it is their responsibility to stay up to date on their costs.
Recent tariffs should not have affected this pricing. As these frames are made in Mooresville, North Carolina, U.S.A. and the manufactures price increase pre-dates the recent tariffs.
