all timesUpon move-in, her locks were changed from a vendor to an occupied lock*** *** changes the locks and checks to ensure the key he cut for the lock works by locking the doorThis is a major safety issueSomeone could have been lurking in the apartment without my knowledge and attacked meThe same day the Bath tub was incredibly filthy and when I brought it up to them they informed me that they needed to resurface the tubThe tub was not filthyThere were two small discoloration spots from wear and tearSince she brought it to ***’s attention we agreed to resurface the tub so we could satisfy her and make her comfortable and pleased with her new homeThey asked me when I wasnted the tub to be resurfaced and I told them this weekend*** *** agreed and told me she would call me shortly after she got ahold of maintenanceShe never called me Friday or Saturday about the issueOn Monday I went up there to talk to me and another lady told me that they didn't know if I wanted the tub resurfaced after I told them on Friday that I wanted it resurfacedThey didn't even bother to call me prior of me obtaining the apartment that they still didn't resurface the tub/shower and ask if I wanted to change my move in dateThe same lady told me that I could use a public shower since my shower was unusable.*** ***, AsstMGR was trying offering her a solution to use the clubhouse bathroom that can be locked with a deadbolt lock that nobody has keys to except staffI am paying more for a partially renovated apartmentI am also paying over $1,to live in this apartmentShe is paying a premium for a short term leaseThe resurfacing didn't take place until Monday, May 15, Which makes the shower unusable for hours after the resurfacing and essentially makes the apartment unlivableThe apartment management complex gave me a concessionBut this was only the beginning of unacceptable behavior from themMy kitchen cabinets (uppper and lower) have obvious water damage (bowing of the shelves, there is a putrid smell coming from every one of them.) I requested a work order to them to fix itA couple of weeks passed and they never responded to the requestA work order was put in and completed prior to her arrival to the officeI had to go in and talk to them physically and find out what they were going to doTwo different maintenance tech’s and a leasing agent went into the unit to try and smell the odor she describesNobody was able to smell an odorWe did observe she may not like the aesthetics of the cabinets, since she was interested in the renovated apartment’s cabinets when *** *** was touring her but decided to not rent the renovated unit because she liked the less expensive unit that she did rent and lives in and only preferred the renovated cabinets and felt it was not worth paying the extra upchargeA work request was left inside her unit to make her aware of the solutions even though there was no odor present to our knowledge, but she never called the office to inform us of her choice of solutionsInstead she came into the office and claimed that nobody came to observe the cabinetsAnother work request was entered at that time; however, she did suggest getting new cabinets installed and paying the updated priceI told her ownership was not renovating anymore units and the only way it would be possible, if a resident paid for themThe work request was completed by spraying polyurethane on the cabinets which the idea was confirmed by herThey told me that they were going to seal them with some kind of chemicalOn June the maintenance man which I don't know who came in and only "sealed" the upper cabinets and not the lower cabinetsEven after several days the smell is still in those cabinetsIt is so strong It's very unbearableWhen I came home on June the maintenance man failed to lock my door behind him when he leftArt Garcia has been at the property for years and the policy of locking the door has never changedArt has been in the industry for years total and the policy everywhere he has worked has always been lock the door behind himI understand mistakes do happenBut locking doors for maintenance technicians becomes a habit they do not even think aboutWe have been in several situations where a mistake has been made where we need them to leave it unlocked and they lock it out of habitI went to the main office and they only defended him saying there was an "emergency" that he had to go to and that no one is perfectThis is the 2nd time where my apartment has been left unlocked by maintenance in just weeks of living hereI told her there was an emergency in the unit below her and maybe he left it unlocked with the intention of being right back and I would check to see if thsat is what happened or if he was in a hurry to get to the plumbing issue he forgot and that is when I told her mistakes do happen and nobody is perfect because I mentioned they are usually very good at locking the door behind themBut I checked sith maintenance and Art was the technician who went and sprayed the cabinets and *** reported to the plumbing issueArt told me her Mother was at the apartment when he was working on the cabinetsHe said she was in and out several times during his time thereThey only partially fixed but didn't fix the problem with the cabinets because they still smell really bad and the bottom of the shelves are so thin that I am afraid to place any of my dishes in there because they may fall through and breakIt is safe and secure to use the shelves as she was toldOn June 2nd I also paid for my rent which was $I accidentally wrote in two wrong values on the checkThe management didn't call me they didn't email about it instead they scanned my check on a sheet of paper with all my account information and they folded the sheet of paper and placed one staple to the sheet and left it on the front of my doorAnyone could've had taken that sheet with my bank account on it and accessed my accountThey have violated my privacy and have been very negligent with my personal informationI went up there to talk to the management and they informed that is how they information people about their personal information by placing it on their door with no securement and not even in an envelopeIf they are so careless with my check like that then this makes me worried that they are careless with other personal information that they have of mine *** *** sends delinquent letters by having them posted to the doorHistorically *** does not notify residents about writing the incorrect check information, so she notified her out of habit the same way she posts delinquent letters, which does not have private information*** apologized and explained how the error took place and thanked *** for bringing it to her attention*** informed her how we will change the policy, since that day we have changed the policy*** *** signed a short term lease, which is due to expire in September If we chose to replace cabinets as a solution we would not install them while a resident resides inside the apartment because it is not our policy*** will reside in the unit for less than (3) months and we do not have an apartment she could transfer to until July 24thThere has been (6) different staff members in her unit and nobody has been able to smell an odor
