We are in receipt of your letter dated October 24, regarding the above referenced ID This response was received on Oct 25, by our office We have immediately unsubscribed the complainant from our site and made sure that they will no longer receive any communication from us If the complainant signed up for any resources or benefits while exploring our community, they may be receiving emails and other offers directly from these third parties that are not within our controlWe provide an email and phone number to all our members in the case they need to get a hold of American Hope ResourcesWe do have a vibrant community of members and received countless letters and emails of praise by our members for the various resources that they have been able to avail themselves of We have also confirmed with our IT department that all of the unsubscribe links are working properly and we have had no reports of broken links in the past days We treat all of our corporate and technology regulations with the utmost of importance and assure you that any issues would be addressed immediately We have met all of the desired settlement requirements pursuant to this matter Please contact me directly if you should have any questions or concerns

We are in receipt of complaint ID 10749762 and wanted to respond with the following information. American Hope Resources is a free membership offered to people experiencing financial hardship.  We provide resources and offers and give our members access to those resources and offers...

through our site, as well as through email.  In addition, if a member expresses interest in a third party offer, we typically direct them to the third parties website, where they may supply information to learn more about a program or service.  We do not direct or control the email communication between our members and third party sites. With respect to our email practices, we are 100% Can-Spam compliant, and opt all of our members in during registration on our site.  We also include an opt-out link on every communication sent from our organization to a member, that link allows the member to manage their email preferences, or opt-out entirely from any mailings from American Hope Resources. (we have included a screenshot of our email preferences page). Regarding the complaint received, S[redacted] became a member of American Hope Resources on June 28th, 2015.  We do not have any record of this member opting-out or changing their emailing preferences through their own effort.  On Sunday August 2nd, we received an email from this member asking to be removed from all email contact.  On Tuesday August 4th, a member of our Customer Support team responded to the member email, and promptly unsubscribed the member from all future email notifications.  They have received no email from our company since 11:10am August 4th. (we have attached a copy of the correspondence). Since its inception, American Hope Resources has attempted to help in excess of 1.2 million members.  We understand that on occasion a member may not find our information a good fit or of benefit to them, and we honor all requests to change email preferences or terminate membership.  Our membership is free, and we respond to all member inquiries in a timely manner.  If you have any additional questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me directly at: D[redacted] Customer Service Manager
