I read the response from Camelot Piano Service. I don't know what the other refinishers wouldn't attempt to repair it unless they didn't have the skill and equipment to do it correctly, the fee *** would pay was insufficient or they felt the repair wasn't needed. Unfortunately, the refinishing was needed as the attempt to repair the piano lid failed and resulted in more damage.*** stated that I could take the lid and get it repaired, and not to worry about the cost. He also agreed and delivered it to the refinisher I secured. The refinisher, an expert with Baldwin piano finishes stated to correct the issue, both pieces of the lids had to be stripped and refinished in order for the stain an finish to match one another.*** did call me and direct me to make a claim to his insurance company and provided me his policy number. I called *** Ins) and was then transferred to a *** *** agent which took the report over the phone. I was told that an adjuster would call me within a few day. I have yet to received a call from the adjuster or any representative from the insurance company

Camelot Piano was hired to move, store, repair the lid and tune the piano for the *** My refinisher tried numerous times to repair the lid and realized it was not satisfactory He then contacted two other refinishers in the Louisville area and was told they would not attempt to
repair it I contacted the *** and told them we had done the best we could do and would like for them to come see the finished product They were not happy and I told them I would be happy to take it to another refinisher and that I would refund the money I had been paid to refinish the portion of the lid that the cat had scratched which was $ I then received a call from Mr*** saying he wanted the lid taken to a refinisher near *** My workers did that At that time I told the refinisher that I had only worked on a portion of the lid and that was all I would be responsible for Next I get a call from Mr*** saying the cost was over $and he wanted me to pay for the entire lid to be refinished I told him I would give him $(which was $more than what they had paid me) but I felt that was fair since Camelot did not do anything to 2/of the lid Mr*** was not happy with that so I told him I would be happy to turn it into my insurance company which I didI received a call last Friday from the insurance company and the claim is being processedI feel that we at Camelot Piano have done everything within our power to please the *** The moves, storage and tuning has been completed The issue with the lid will now be settled by the insurance company

While the Revdex.com had officially closed my unresolved complaint regarding Camelot Piano Service, it’s only fair to let you know that I continued to stay in contact with the owner seeking resolution. I would hope that you would add this message to the conversation history regarding complaint ID stating that once the owner realized that the clam wasn’t covered by his insurance policy, he took accountability and reimbursed me for the full cost of repairs to my piano lid In turn, I would appreciate you adjusting the business’ rating to its previous ratingThank you *** *** ***

I have heard from the insurance company and it was my understanding that they were handling the claim immediately.  I will attempt to contact them again.I did agree to take the piano lid to the refinisher in [redacted] and told the [redacted] that I would return the money they had paid plus $200.  I never agreed to pay such an exorbinant price as they were charged.  I made it plain that I would only be responsible for the portion of the lid that we had attempted to refinish.Again, I feel I have done everything within my power to resolve this issue.  I will contact the insurance company today.  Thank you.
