I am rejecting this response because: This toilet was recommended by Davis the Plumber and installed by the plumber. There were no conditions or restrictions set at the time of the transaction. Davis the Plumber states that it is not uncommon for low flow toilets to have a difficult time eliminating waste on a single flush. If it were that simple I would not have a complaintThe problem is this toilet does not allow a second flush but clogs immediately and requires a plumber to auger the line at $a popThat is unacceptable. In all fairness Davis the Plumber did not charge for the second call to remove the clog. The technician suggested that I use a stick to brethe waste before flushing. Modern technology is it? This leads me to believe I am not the first customer to experience this problem. And by the way, what is your definition of “copious amount of waste”? Davis the Plumber states that since the toilets works the majority of the time they believe the toilet is not defectiveI disagree. I did not purchase and install a toilet at the cost of approx$that only works the majority of the time. Davis the Plumber mentions that possibly installing a power assist toilet may eliminate the problemThey also state it would be an additional cost. I remind Davis the Plumber that I have already spent $plus another $for their plumber to unclog the toiletAny reasonable offer by Davis the Plumber to remedy this situation would be acceptable

In February 2016, Mr*** bought from Davis the Plumber an American Standard Cadet Pro series toiletThe Cadet Pro is a low flow toilet using gallons per flush as mandated by the federal government and required by local governments to reduce water usage As described by Mr
***, the toilet worked OK until October when the toilet clogged, then clogged in November 2016, and again in December of During November after the clog, Mr*** had a conversation with our Technician, Kevin R*** and said that the clog was caused by a hard bowel movementDue to our experience, it is not uncommon for 'low flow' toilets to have a difficult time eliminating all the waste on a single flush, either from hard bowel movements or larger than amounts of solid waste due to the minimal amount of water being used Since the toilet is working a majority of the time, I find it hard to believe that the toilet is defective, hence the need to replace itThere is another option, that is to install a power assist toilet which we find to do a better job when there are copious amounts of waste, but still have problems when there is a hard bowel movementI cannot guarantee that even the power assist will improve Mr***'s issueAlso, the power assist would be an additional charge since the toilet has an additional cost to us.
