Dear *** ***,First of all, we are very sorry about what happened to Mrs***'s jewelry that was purchased at our storeWe have sold a lot of pearl pendants, earrings, and rings for almost years, and we did not have any complaint about a lost pearl from one of our pearl settingsThe
mentioned pendant was in her possession for monthsHow can we be held responsible for something that was out of our control (the types of usage and condition this piece of jewelry have to endured)We have told her that if she still have the pearl, we will send it back to the manufacturer to prove that it was their fault and if it is, then they will go ahead send us a new comparable piece of jewelry at no costBut as of now, we don't have the pearl, the manufacturer will accuse us of being negligence on our partMrs*** should try to call her insurance company and file a claim to get the reimbursement she requested from usWe are not responsible for the pearl that she had lostShe has purchased a 14kt white gold chain at $and a 14kt diamond pearl pendant at $And the total including sales tax was $666.66.
