I would like to let everyone know about the poor customer service at Home Depot gutter installation service. I paid over $5000 for Home Depot to install gutters on January 8, 2016. At the time of the installation, I noticed that some shingles were not laid flat against the gutters and asked the installers about that and they told me it would take time for the shingles to flatten out. If the shingles are not laid flat against the gutters, water could get in under the shingles and damage the decking of the roof. I noticed earlier this year that the shingles were still not laid flat and called Home Depot, thinking that Home Depot would respond quickly. It took Home Depot almost a week to return my calls and arranged for someone to come out at 9:00 AM on 1/27/2017 to take a look to see if they could fix the problem with the shingles not flat against the gutters. However, nobody came out or called at 9:00 AM. When I called Home Depot, they told me that they didn't have any paperwork with the appointment. When I called Home Depot's customer service, the sales manager told me that the installation had just expired on 1/8/2017.

Firstly, I am extremely upset with the poor level of service of Home Depot. Secondly, the only reason I used Home Depot because I thought I would get a longer warranty with good service because I did pay a premium for the gutters. To my dismay, I received poor service and a short warranty for an expensive product for which I would have gone somewhere else and got the same result.

I will never use Home Depot home installation services again. It goes to show you don't always get what you pay for, especially from Home Depot.

Today I have canceled my Home Depot Credit Card and I will never purchase anything from Home Depot again. Thank you Home Depot for allowing me to be ripped off. I asked Employee Martha [redacted] located at the Home Depot on ** st and [redacted] Phx Az to simply add a note saying I did not want my old refrigerator hauled away when the new one was delivered because it was still under warranty. She assured me that since I didn't pay the haul off fee it would not be touched. I insisted that she leave a note but she didn't and guess what? My refrigerator was hauled off. I went through the claims department and Electric Insurance Company and even with a warranty my claim was denied. What [redacted]! It's horrible when us little guys get railroaded by you big companies. All this could have been avoided if your lazy, incompetent worker had just typed in "Do not haul off old Refrigerator" I own a recycling yard and even if the refrigerator wasn't still under warranty I would have took it for the purpose of scrap. Home Depot is a joke and has made me a lifelong [redacted] customer. Claim Denial [redacted]
P.S. you keep telling everybody on [redacted] with problems and issues to contact [redacted]@homedepot.com they don't do anything either. I will do everything in my power to discourage potential customers by telling them my horror story of how Home Depot basically ripped me off.
My original ORDER ID: [redacted]

Negative complaint against Home Depot in Everett, WA on Hwy 99. The nightmare started in the middle of Sept this year when I placed an order for flooring. This order took at least 90 minutes if not almost 2 hours to place a simple order. Once the order was complete, the gentleman assisting me, immediately asked for payment in full of $3,090.00. No payment plan offered, I just need payment in full prior to placing your order. My flooring should have been delivered to Home Depot approx. 10 days after my order was placed, well, that certainly did not happen. After the 10 days I did make several calls to Home Depot and they kept telling me the delivery has yet to be received. Come the end of Oct I get a call telling me the flooring has arrived and that I can pick it up at any time and then [redacted] Installation would call to set up a delivery date. This certainly was an error on Home Depots part. I told the person I spoke to at Home Depot that I could not pick up 21 cases of flooring, it should be delivered to my home. A few days go by, the flooring is delivered with an install date of Nov. 13th. Install date comes around with the installer arriving at 8:00am. This is where the real nightmare starts. My oldest son greets the installer and explains on how to lock and unlock the door if he is needing to leave at any point in time. Installer understands. Around 8:45am I get a call from the installer stating that I have linoleum under my hard woods in the kitchen that will need to be pulled up and he also believes that the cement will need to leveled once everything is pulled up. Asked the installer what the charge would be, his comment, "I'm not the Home Depot calculator." The store will call you with a quote within the hour. I did get that call, however, they were not able to give me a quote either and they would have to call me back. Time goes by and I attempt to get ahold of the installer via his cell phone, no answer. I leave work around 12noon to check on his status. He left my home unlocked with just a corner of the carpet in my dining room ripped up in my dining room along side the kitchen area. Still no phone call from Home Depot with a quote. Attempt to call the installer several times during the day, no return call. I get home around 5pm that night to find out that all the carpet is pulled up along with the linoleum and I know have concrete flooring thru out the home with an exception of the bedrooms that were not being done. What a shock!! I call Home Depot regarding this matter and they tell me that I will have to talk to the installer the next day. Installer arrives the next day to lay the flooring. He is no longer there at my home for 45 minutes and cannot lay the flooring because the flooring is buckled. Continuing this nightmare, old flooring has to be removed and a new order will need to be placed with Home Depot. I do contact Home Depots corporate office in Atlanta to file a complaint. The support they have for there customers, well I cannot say much. They basically listen to your complaint and say, I'm sorry your going thru this. To make a long story very short. I'm now waiting for my 3rd round of flooring, which I had to change the type of flooring from my original order. The 2nd order was buckled and also wet when the installer attempted to install. I have been going thru this since the middle of Sept and my new install date for the 3rd time will not be until Jan 10th. Meanwhile, I have asked for a 50% discount, and the store will only be offering me 10%, that's definitely not customer service. For the nightmare I'm going thru, you would think at least 50% would be a nice offer. I had to cancel Thanksgiving and Christmas at my home. Since the end of Oct, I have been living out of my bedroom with no furniture in my living room, no dining room table to sit down and eat my meals. Also, with the concrete flooring, my heating bill keeps rising. I would like someone to bring to the attention of Home Depot that customers are important and they should be taken care of and not to receive a slap in the face with a 10% discount and to say I'm sorry. This complaint has been filed on this website, along with Yelp and the media has also been notified.

I set up and appointment at one of your local stores to meet with a bathroom consultants. I advised the employee that all I needed was a new vanity top and new faucets and that the home as in another state. He advised me that was not a problem and that this appointment would be sent to the people that handle that area. I drove 150 mile to the location where this home exists. The night before the scheduled appointment I received a call from customer service telling me that the appointment would be cancelled because it was not a full bathroom renovation. I also received and email confirmation three days before the appointment confirming the date and time.

We placed an order for special flooring that was supposed to arrive in early February- HD charged our charge card. We still do not have the product and have now had 8 different stories - all lies about when we will get the product. They are not wanting to give us our money back and are trying to sell us product we do not want. They have delayed the completion of our bathroom refinishing for 6 weeks now. We are fighting them with our state Attorney General.Stay away from HD and go to [redacted] instead.

We were going to have flooring installed. We paid $35.00 to Home Depot to have a measuring service come out. We informed the Home Depot employee at the time that we had a pretty high spot in the concrete floor. We were told that as long as it was within tolerance it was fine and they (the installation company that Home Depot uses) could level the floor. We were not informed what "within tolerance" was although we expressed ours was bad. The flooring we were considering was a laminate. The installation was listed at $.89 per square foot.

The next week the measuring service came out and spent two hours doing their thing. The gentleman from the service mentioned vinyl flooring which we had not considered so we went back to the store just to look. While we didn't care for the vinyl flooring we found some bamboo flooring on clearance that we loved. We were told that in order to get it at that price and to ensure we had enough for our project we would have to take it that evening. We purchased 17 cases which was about 880 pounds. We commented to the workers that were helping us in the department that this deal was saving us a lot of money by getting this flooring on clearance with the special on the installation of $.89 per square foot; everybody agreed! We had also mentioned that we were just waiting for the information to come back from the measuring company with specifics so we could schedule installation. We took the flooring home and unloaded it into our home ourselves, all 880 pounds of it.

The next day the measuring company called back and indicated that the flooring was not coming up in their system because it was a clearance item so we needed to go into the store to get the specifics. We were also informed by the measuring company that they believed there was a difference in the price regarding the installation for the bamboo compared to the laminate, to which we insisted there was not.

We returned to the store and immediately went to the aisle. We retrieved a department employee and explained to her what was transpiring (the measuring company said we had to come to the store to get the specifics regarding the measurements and pricing and that they said there may be a difference in the installation price between the bamboo and the laminate). We showed her that the sign near the bamboo was the same as the signs near the laminate which said $.89 for installation. She proceeded to the sign by the bamboo and pulled back a sign that was covering the top portion of the sign we were looking at. Once she pulled back the top one it was clear that the bottom one said $1.99 for installation. It was covered up and because no price was visible it led us, and I am quite sure most people in the aisle to believe that the bamboo installation sign said the $.89 like all the rest of them in the aisle that were the same size and color. It was deceptive! Furthermore, nobody ever indicated the night before when we purchased the bamboo and were talking about the installation and savings that there was a difference in the price of the installation for bamboo compared to laminate.

Then things went from bad to worse. The lady then informed us that not only was the price of the installation $1.99 per square foot instead of $.89, but that they do not (or I should say their installers do not) install flooring that is bought at a clearance price. We were never informed of that the night before when we purchased the bamboo flooring that was on clearance or while discussing the measuring service or upcoming installation.

Backed into a corner with no alternative, we discussed the return of the bamboo flooring and going with the laminate at $2.59 per square foot. A different worker was brought into the situation and he pulled out a book and compared something in the book that was under the desk to what he was looking at on line from the measuring company. We got kicked again. Now we were told that regardless of what we purchased they (or their installers) could not install it because our floor was not within 1/8 inch tolerance. This information had been available to them the entire time and never relayed to us. We were out $35.00 plus the time spent with the measuring company, looking at products, purchasing the bamboo, time on the phone and then in the store about the installation price and the signs and all our time and effort loading, transporting and unloading 880 pounds of flooring.

There is no excuse for what transpired in this situation. I feel misled, deceived and taken advantage of. Nobody spoke up about the tolerances of the high spots, nobody spoke up about a difference in installation prices and nobody spoke up about installation of clearance items. And, the deceptive signage was still hanging just as it was. The $1.99 was covered up on the sign by the bamboo but the signs everywhere else that said $.89 were all visible (it was the price that was covered).

I will not trust them again.

I would like to express my appreciation for the extraordinary customer service I received from the Home Depot at Deerwood Town Center, XXXXX SW [redacted] St, Miami, FL XXXXX, my neighborhood Home Depot. I recently had a particularly complex and challenging problem. Store manager Jeff Bass was immediately helpful and extremely professional in resolving a problem few managers would even begin to tackle. The issue was handled with great expertise and the skill of an exemplary manager. I couldn't be more pleased with the resolution of this complex issue. Jeff Bass has shown himself to be a credit to Home Depot, making your entire operation look good. Speaking as a long time customer, it has proven to be a pleasure continuing to shop at my neighborhood Home Depot.

Isigned a contract with HomeDepot to replace my gutter on [redacted] 28, 2016, every time I call to chech on the status no one can give me the right answe. I even spoke with two managers name Max [redacted] and request for a written explanation to why my work is not done yet to this day no work is done or no explanation to is given to me. I request for someone from management of the company to contact me. Thank you [redacted] VA

I am copying/pasting an email I sent to the Home Depot Corporate office regarding my concerns for my recent Home Depot Home Improvement project, specifically for granite countertops and backsplash installation. So far nothing has been done.

RE: San Antonio HDI
1) Kari T[redacted] (Home Depot consultant) - initial visit to my home regarding project.
a. I spoke with Kari about my desires for a new granite countertop. She sold me Home Depot's pitch. I told her I'm relatively new in SA and my number one priority is professionalism - and that I've had poor experiences in the past with handymen and third parties in SA (for jobs at the house). She insisted that Home Depot takes pride in professional and guarantees 100% satisfaction. I am an anesthesia resident at University Hospital in SA - and I work around 70-80hrs/wk and have around 4 days off a month. Kari assured me I would have nothing to worry about - the process would involve 2 additional visits for measurements (after the initial visit) and a day for installing the project. Later I learn that it is in fact 2 days of installment (countertops and backsplash) - so I was misinformed about this. Had I known, perhaps I would have opted for just the countertops out of convenience of time for me given my schedule.

2) My third measurement was scheduled to be between 10am-1pm (something like that) by a guy named Manny with Stone Works. Manny called me at noon, telling me he would be late - closer to 2pm. Then he called again saying he would be closer to 4pm. Then he called at 4:40pm, saying he was 20min away. Ultimately I ended rescheduling. It is obviously very frustrating when you get 4 days off a month - and you spend an entire day inside for someone to come take a measurement in you home for a project that was "sold to you as being convenient, done by professionals." I was frustrated. Called the HDI office. Ultimately spoke with Desserae (manager for home depot?) and Ben. Called 2x and left messages. I also called Kari. At this point, this was a huge red flag to me. I expressed my concern and was considering options to canceling the project. Desserae told me I would be subject to a fee. John S[redacted] the office manager called and apologized - I thought I would let it go and proceed. Not surprisingly (likely since I was about to cancel the project), they expedited rescheduling the measurement by a gentleman named Jeremy for the following week in the evening when I would be off rather than 1 month later.

3) Jeremy arrived for the measurement. When he gave me his drawing for review and asked for my signature, I knew something wasn't right. I asked him about the extended bar - and if he reviewed the Home Depot drawings by the HDI representatives (namely, Kari and Ben). Jeremy told me he doesn't have access to those drawings and doesn't see them. This again was a huge red flag. I explain the best I can to him as I don't have the drawings done by HDI and sign off. I later call Kari, Ben at the HDI office, as well as John with HDI. I express to them by concern for the measurement and plead with them to please double check everything to make sure the measurements are accurate. I have voicemails still on my phone (messages that they left me) assuring me that they have double-checked everything and that there should not be any problems. Please note here that as the customer that's 3+ phonecalls and 3 different people I've spoken with at the HDI office to preclude any problems.

4) Stone Systems counter top team arrives to install countertop. They work very efficiently and effectively. They let me know when they are done - and then I notice there is granite missing from behind my run-in stone. They tell me that it was not a part of their measure. I ask myself - why do I even go out of my way to preclude problems when the people I'm paying (HDI office) doesn't even care.

5) For my project, the counter team took 2 visits - because they incorrectly measured and the backsplash team took 2 visits-because they did not look at the measurement closely enough - once they told me they were finished-I asked "what about these 2 walls?" - turns out they were incorrect with their measurements and brought insufficient tiles. After the team left, broken tile pieces and nail were on left my floor - easy for my dog to get to.

6) I call the office 1/11/17 to tell them about the tiles and ask for an explanation for the countertops measurement. A woman named Crystal picks up and tells me John S[redacted] is unavailable but will call me back. She assures me however that she can help me. I tell her everything and ask if she has an explanation and her response is (with no remorse) - "human error." It really hurt my feelings. I really don't know why I went through all this and paid so much more money to get something done through Home Depot if they don't even care. I called Kari and John again - but no phone calls returned. Obviously they are aware but don't feel the need to speak to the customer.

I expected to be able to return a fridge which did not look appropriate in my house three days after it was delivered. I was told by the Watertown MA Home depot manager, Ian, that he could refuse any return for any reason. He says his store refuses all appliance returns, "No Exceptions."

I am now stuck with an oversized $1,700 Fridge.

Beware

I purchased a corian countertop from home depot . They had a contractor install it. They installed two different colors and made a seam that is visibly apparent. I contacted Home depot who sent me a letter saying that nothings wrong with the structure so I have no claim . then they sent a independent inspector who said clearly there is two colors and no one installs corian in a customers house like that. I want their product out of my home and a refund. I am amazed at the inept system for these products and the poor quality of customer service when you have a problem so apparent as this. This contractor should be fired for such practices as this.

Ordered washer/dryer pair and set up delivery. On day of delivery, they called 30 min. Ahead to confirm I would be here to accept delivery. I reviewed my address and directions to the property and gate code information. 45 minutes later the delivery man called and they were at a home we lived in six years ago. It's only 8 miles from my "new" address but they could not reroute without authorization from local store and they didn't have that number.
After an hour conversation with store manager it was clear they could not correct their error.
I gave my current address for delivery at the time of purchase but apparently the old address was still in system.
I was told I should have checked the fine print for errors!!!
I cancelled the order and requested a refund. 20 min later, manager called back to tell me that since I'd paid with a debit card, I would have to physically go to the store to swipe the card to get the electronic refund. It's been six days, funds are in Home Depot account!!
Once I get my refund, I will never do business with this lame "organization" again

Stay away from this place. We've purchased asphalt patch that had mold in it, then contracted with Home Depot to replace our roof for $8,000 with specified structural repairs that were not done. The contractors looked like homeless people and took 6 days to repair the roof to intentionally run up the labor charges. The starter shingles were put on backwards, the vinyl siding torn off and the yard wrecked. They dropped the shingles so hard on the roof that some of the structural beams were broken. The ceiling is caving in and given South Carolina was just flooded, now we have major water damage. New boards were purchased to go underneath the shingles that were not even put on the house, instead, they covered the old ones and stole the materials that we paid for. The attic is a disaster and what is stored is damaged. Now the entire roof, vinyl siding and parts of the ceiling have to be replaced. Please, take your business elsewhere.

Be prepared for your nightmare.

I am having the worst experience with home depot appliances. Their service sucks, every one is unprofessional, and don't know how to do their jobs.

I first placed an appliances order HXXXX-XXXXX for a washer, dryer, and refrigerator. The first time the delivery people arrived on December 23rd and refused to deliver. They said that I should reschedule as it might rain, and they will destroy my carpets. I had to travel from next day, and I told them that they should install appliances today but they didn't. I went to homedepot to complain but nobody was there to listen to me. I then talked with online customer support, well they suck as well with an additional 2 hour hold to totally waste your day.

I then tried to reschedule delivery to Jan 10th, nobody called me and I called them to ask for it. I was told that delivery missed me and left a tag but there was no tag. Then I was scheduled for Jan 13 for refrigerator. The freezer wasn't working which I came to know after couple of days and I complained but its still in my home and I haven't received any service. Now the fridge is not working either.

Now about washer, and dryer; delivery company told me that they don't have dryer for me. Do I only want washer or both washer and dryer. I told that I want both. So, they said that they will call me back with more information. Next day I called home depot and they said that my dryer is canceled. I should come to homedepot and re-order it. I went there to re-order dryer. I was told that for now, I should receive only washer, otherwise it will be canceled as well. I received the washer and now waited for dryer.

On 1st Feb (now over 2 months since my order and about 40 days after my original delivery date) the delivery people came with the dryer but said that I need longer pipe, though my order has 8' pipe. They said they don't have them, and took the dryer back to cancel it.

Homedepot is a mess. Please stay away. They owe my money for 3 orders of washer, haven't refunded me yet. Gave me a faulty refrigerator, and there is no service to fix it or take it back. The washer is un-installed and I still haven't got as dryer even after ordering it for 3 times.

Hello I purchased a washer and dryer from Home Depot in 2010. The following year I had to have the extended warranty people come out. They came out every year about 10 times a year. Last year it was 19 times and I learned the problem was they never connected the washer under the bottom of the machine. I had to complain complain complain until the rep in Atlanta (Ashley) offered 250. On a machine that I paid 600. After going to himedepot to order another machine when the delivery people came out [redacted] one of the workers (Joel) was so rude I told him I withdraw be filing a complaint on him in which he said go ahead I don't care, I'll dial the number for you. I spoke to a rep (Wilona) who was just as rude as he was. After that everyone I contacted gave me the I'm sorry etc bs and the knob on my machine so happen was missing off the machine. Joel claimed I was sold a used machine which I watched them take it out the box and when I turned the main knob was missing which meant I had to reschedule. Joel did offer to sit the machine in my garage and leave it. My question was why would I want a machine sitting in my garage and my laundry is on the 3 floor. He said he couldn't hook it up so that's all he cool do. I told him he could take it back and get me another machine with all the knobs. That was on May 27. My next date was scheduled for June 6 in which I took off work again. I get a call around 10:00am saying the truck broke down and they would need to reschedule. So once again I call Ashley who place me on hold for a supervisor for 5 to 7 minutes come back to the phone and say 5 to 7 more minutes than come back to the phone and say 3 to 5 minutes than come back to the phone and say she can't locate a supervisor. So yes this is how hone droit POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS.

I had a very bad experience with ,Crystal View,- a shower door vendor with Home depot!
Crystal View's incompetency put me behind in a major project and their attitude has made we plan never to use any home depot vendor ever!!
This is a major loss for you because I remodel homes and my group remodels homes to the total of several thousand dollars a year.
You need to do something with this very bad partner to Home Depot, Crystal View makes Home Depot look very bad on all levels.
This vendor gave both my contractor and my self the run around for over 10 days and then said they had no record on the last communication. After that statement they asked me if I would like to cancel. That alone makes no sense!!!
I will never use Home depot vendors again!!!
This is not resolved, I expect an apology and some compensation for my project delay.

This is a review about the Home Depot in Alhambra, California. I was waiting in line for the cashier, when the customer in front of me dropped her paint can on the floor, and the paint splattered all over me and my clothes. Instead of trying to help, the cashier in the next lane, a male employee named Alexander M[redacted] literally started making fun of me. Seriously! Complete lack of empathy, and humanity. Another female employee, Martha C[redacted] brought wipes and water to try to help me get the paint off. All this time, Alexander the male employee continued to relentlessly make fun of me in front of everyone, even after I told him I would be speaking to their manager, Eric. When Eric showed up, that was when Alexander finally stopped making fun of me. The complete utter callous and cruel behavior by their male employee Alexander M[redacted] was absolutely horrifying. This is not the first case of abusive behavior by their male employees. Once I asked a guy in the paint department for directions to their carpets, he literally yelled at me loudly \"CAN\'T YOU SEE THIS IS THE PAINT DEPARTMENT, NOT CARPETS! GO ASK THE GUY AT THE ENTRANCE!\". The guy at the entrance had ignored me when I first walked in, and was just as rude when I when back to ask him. The only helpful people I have met there were all women in the carpet and lighting departments, and again a woman in the paint department and incident. I am a small petite Asian woman. After repeated episodes of these type of interaction with their male employees, I think they really have a problem with their male employees being prejudiced against women customers.

I recently went to Home Depot to buy a couple gallons of paint as I have many times. This time was a tad different as the vehicle I had to run this errand was my mom's brand new mustang. Long story short, the paint cans fell over and a gallon of paint went directly into the carpets and panels of the car's interior. The lid had fell off. I contacted Home Depot looking for them to resolve the issue and pay for the damages(carpet was cleaned back to new). They promptly took full responsibility for the lid not being secured fully and payed the bill for cleaning the carpets and also, replaced the can of paint for me. Quick, professional customer service. I am very pleased with how the situation was handled.
