Camping World Of Bossier City Reviews (%countItem)

Bought manufacture extended warranty and they will not refund the money we spent to get the travel trailer fixed.
We left Linden Texas for a 3 week trip with travel trailer we just bought made it to Greenwood, AR and the wheel caught on fire and then fell off. We spent three days in the Walmart parking lot until parts we order and got fixed. We had to pay out of our pocket 1784.93 dollars. They refunded only 51 dollars. What was the extended warranty for. They have copies of all the receipts.

Desired Outcome

$1784.93 refund for parts and labor we had to pay.

This is the most horrible experience I've ever had. We spent almost 30,000$ on a 2020 model camper and have had it for less than 2 weeks and its falling apart and we cant get ANY help from the Shreveport location. The General manager refuses to talk to me, I cant get a call back. This is absolutely terrible. We were lied to from the get go and overcharged drastically! Never will I ever give this place my business again. Not only is the ac wiring tacky and falling from the ceiling, we were quoted 1500, just to be called back and told we would have to pay $2400. They also lied about installing ac, and made us late for our deadline. We are currently dealing with sewage issues and water shooting out from under our sink and I have called at least 3 times today. Absolutely no help from company as I sit in my $30,000 camper smelling *** in 100 degree weather. This company is a scam. And not professional or sufficient nor do they back their word up. Custom service is non existent and a load of ***!

After spending most of last Monday, 05/27/2019 at Camping World in Shreveport, and the day ending horribly, I still say CHEERS to this company and most of its staff. My wife and I spent most of the day with an impressive young man named Bryce as our salesman. We were excited with our purchase until we encountered a con-man masquerading as a finance manager. Each encounter with him made the process more and more frustrating. He made assumptions, changed the terms and followed through with absolutely nothing he stated he would do. This on top of being evasive, rude and untruthful. We were at the point where the camper was hooked to our truck and leaving when I realized the issues we were assured would be taken care of were not addressed and new ones arose. After speaking with Bryce and Bryan, the General Manager, we received a refund, they unhooked the trailer and we were on our way. Both these men were understanding and professional. Within minutes of leaving the store I received a phone call from Bryce apologizing for the situation and offering a deal that I basically could not pass up. Original terms restored plus some, a special offer, all issues addressed plus some and even delivered it to Texarkana. They didn't start low and add to the offer it was bam, stepped up and did what was right from the start! This is rare in business today! Thank you, Bryce and Bryan, for being men of character that is expected from north Louisiana and south Arkansas. I guess they don't raise men the same in Mississippi!

In addition to overcharging and misdirection for the sale, they are holding the title without cause.
We paid cash for a 2019 RV, so the title was at the dealer. When we went to register, we were told the title should have been immediate. Either way, they are holding the title without cause and have refused to return calls.

After being told there was an inspection (for which we were charged), we found out that was also not true.

We were charged for paperwork, which was obviously not done.

Desired Outcome

We want our title as was promised. We were cheated all around here and have also contacted their corporate office. We have only received an automated response 4 days ago promising a reply "soon". While we don't expect to recover the money they cheated us out of via taxes, actual inspection, etc. They are legally required to provide the title which they are withholding without cause and failing to respond about.

I bought the camper new, used it one time it has problems having problems with store to fix it right.
I bought the camper on NOV 28 2018 used it one time in December and found the water holding tank leaked, the window in the bedroom leaked, the storage door leaked, the slide jumped going in and out. I contacted the camping world in Bossier on Jan 02, 2019 and took the camper back for the repairs. After my wife and I dropped it off we never heard nothing back or when they did answer the phone calls it always changed. Finally I got a call and said the camper was ready on Feb 26, 2019 so my wife and I drove two hours to get it the water tank was not fixed the slide was not fixed so we gave them two weeks to fix the problem, after two weeks my wife and I drove back up there to pick it up the water tank was installed but the slide was still messed up. I asked to speak to the manager he came out to look at the camper because the underneath of the camper where they replaced the water tank was messed up and not resecured like it was when we purchased it I told him I wanted it fixed he basically wanted to just half way fix it right. His service manager agreed with me it need to be redone but he didn't care so I got aggravated and called him sorry at that time he told me and my wife to hook up to it and leave there property with the camper even thought it was not fixed. I called the main headquarters they do not seem like they care all they said someone will be in contact with u about two hours later the general manger called and asked for us to bring the camper back I told him when they get the parts I will and know two weeks later still no parts order waiting on warranty

Desired Outcome

I want the underneath took off and redone, I want he slide fixed so it does not Jump when it is traveling in and out. And something needs to be to the General Manager.

Camping World Of Bossier City Response • Apr 05, 2019

The letter from Mr. about his experience with Camping World of Bossier City, La., does have some validity to it and he has(had) the right to be upset and concerned with the previous service he was getting. This being prior to Feb 1st of 2019, when we implemented a new service manager and replaced one that was not completing customers service work. Mr. unit was one of those units that was in limbo and went undiagnosed and untouched for some time. (please note, that the unit was in for service work, but was not "out of service and in an unusable condition". We solely admitted that to him and will to anyone else as well. After Feb 1st, we have worked to make the customer happy and are still at this time(April 4th of 2019 at 7:45 pm) working to correct his concerns. His unit is on our lot(brought back, after picking up and having in their possession) at this time and being worked on to regain his faith!. We do not deny that he and his wife have made several lengthy trips and was not satisfied and very frustrated, as we would have been also. The items that are still in question are minor items and can be corrected, most have at our expense here at the store and or through the customers manufacturer warranty. (there is one concern with the slide room, that we are having to work with the manufacturer on to correct. the slide room does work smoothly, it works and runs, just not smoothly). Our service Manager *** has worked very hard to make the customer happy and we will eventually get there, if given the time to do so. (as I said, the unit is here in our service dept at this time and being serviced. I believe that the customer is doing their best to allow as much time as they can). If the above items were all that were in question, we wouldn't be sending and receiving letters through the Revdex.com. The customer left out of his letter, that he threatened to, and I repeat verbatim, "WHIP SOME OF OUR EMPLOYEES A____, and in some instances, came off very bully like to some of our staff. He also would curse very explicitly in front of our employees who didn't appreciate it. When I, the GM of Camping World of Bossier City (*** finally got the opportunity to meet and visit with the *** they referred to me as a "SORRY A__ PERSON". Then and only then, were they asked to leave with their unit(by me *** to make sure that my employees were safe! As I was not going to have any more of my team cursed as before, feel threatened and nor myself going forward in any capacity. In the state of Louisiana , there are laws that prohibits this type of conduct!.
As I stated, the customers unit is in our locations service center and the customer is being serviced with priority attention!.
Thank you for the opportunity to return the whole events, in the questioning of our customer service here at Camping World in Bossier City, La.

Best Regards,

***

Customer Response • Apr 08, 2019

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)

Our camper was brought Camping World on or around Feb 19 for repairs. 5 1/2 months later and it is still not fixed.
We (Donald B. *** and *** A. ***) brought our 2016 Primetime Sanibel camper (which my husband lives in because he works away from home) to the dealership (Camping World) for repairs on or around February 19, 2018. We bought the most expensive warranty package when we bought this camper new from the same Camping World in 2016. Some of the issues we needed fixing were covered under warranty (heater not working, vinyl flooring had bubble, paint on front cap needed repairs). We also had an insurance claim (through *** from a tire blow out the week before when my husband was bringing the camper home from a job in Texas. Beginning in May every time my husband contacted the service department to get information on when the camper would be done, he was told a different story. From March-May he had to pay extra living cost while on a job in *** because the repairs were not complete and he could not use his camper. This was an added cost to us because not only are we paying a note on the camper which is in the shop. But he also was paying for a place to stay while working. Normally he would only have to pay a lot rent which is much less than a weekly hotel rate. The insurance claim work (new tire and plastic molding on the side of the camper) was completed in June. THREE months to change a tire and replace the plastic molding above the wheel. We were told in June that the stickers for the cap were on backorder. Then the camper had to go to the decal body shop. In July, we were told that the camper was back and they had to put the stickers on. Last week when my husband called, he was told that everything was done and for our compensation, they (the dealership) would deliver the camper to our house free of charge. But, they said they were short handed and there was no one available to deliver it then so it would have to be delivered THIS week. Today when he calls to see when it would be delivered, he was told that the stickers have not even come in. Since February, the service department has gone through two service managers and two store managers. Still, no one can tell us when the repairs will be complete. No one can tell the truth about any of the repairs.

Desired Outcome

We would like ALL of the camper repairs to be complete and the camper delivered to our house by then end of next week. I believe that 6 months is plenty of time to complete the few repairs we had on the job list. We also want the deductible for the tire waived. That does not even come close to the extra cost we incurred while he was working in MS and having to pay extra living cost.

We bought our travel trailer in March 2018. We paid for a 5 year extended warranty. When one of our recliners would no longer recline, we decided to have Camping World do the repair since we had the warranty. We took the camper to them 6 weeks ago. Camping World suggested we have them seal the roof and we asked them to wash and wax the camper. They said it would be 2 weeks before they could look at it. After no word from Camping World after 3 weeks, we called them and were told the warranty would not cover the recliner. They said they ordered a part to fix it. I called back 2 more times to check on the status. Each time I've been told they are still waiting on the part. I said never mind....we were coming to get the camper. We asked to be called when the part comes in. but I would be shocked if we don't have to call them once a week to see if the part has come in. I'm not gullible enough to believe they even ordered the part. Camping World wasted no time selling us the camper and the extended warranty. They just don't have the time to stand behind what they sell.

After 7 days I called because I did not receive tracking for either number. Was provided tracking number for the leveling blocks but was told lounger showed shipped but no tracking number. Was told they would contact warehouse and get back to me. 3 days later I received leveling blocks. I continued calling reference to tracking number for lounger. Same response every time, never received a call back. I contaasked for supervisors but was refused contact with one, I requested corporate phone and address and again refused that information. I found corporate information onmy own and sent in a e mail with complaint. Response was the same scripted response I got from customer service. Still no response or follow up.
