Mid-State installed the unit on 9.19.2011. Mid-State has had a total of (4) service calls since the initial installation. The first on 10.20.2011 which was a failed inspection from the township with regard to insulation on the flue piping, the second was an air conditioning maintenance on 5.25.2012...

@ which time there was no mention of freon or leaks, the service technician made no notes of such things, the third was a heat maintenance on his heating system on 10.11.2012, and the fourth and final visit was a service call on 10.25.2012 for a failed part on the heating system, a draft inducer motor failed, the customer was upset that he had to pay for labor on the call which was past the 1 year he purchased originally. We have no data or mentions of leaking freon or issues that [redacted] claims. No calls to our office since May of 2012. This is now May of 2015, the client has no labor warranty as the warranty expired in 2012. The only coverage the customer has would be if a component in the condenser, furnace or coil has failed, at which time he would be awarded only the part that failed and would still be liable for labor charges and supporting material charges. [redacted] part warranty is set to expire on 9.18.2016. At this point [redacted] can obtain service from any [redacted] he desires and he would be liable for all applicable labor charges and accessory items. Mid-State has no liability for a refrigerant leak on his system, his labor warranty has expired, he has been using other organizations to service his system since we installed the product which violates our contract as we have no idea if the servicing contractor(s) have created a problem where one did not exist. We consider this matter closed.

On October 13, 2014 Mid-State arrived at Mr. [redacted]'s home for a “no heat” service visit. At which time the technician had observed a bad circuit board in his furnace. On October 16, 2014, Mid-State returned and replaced the circuit board at which time the furnace was operating properly. Mr. [redacted]...

advises the technician that he removes the drain tube from time to time to replace the filter in the furnace. The part, the circuit board was covered under the parts warranty. On or about November 21, 2014 Mr. [redacted] notifies us of a water leak emanating from your furnace. Our technician arrived on the same day and determined that the drain tube to the condensate trap was missing a clamp and a small drip was present. The technician took photo’s of the furnace and flooring in the surrounding area. The photo's reveal that the furnace appears to have been leaking for some time as the bottom of the furnace has visible rust across the base platform. Prior to last month's service visit we have not been present at the home since August of 2011. If proper maintenance had been performed throughout the years this crisis would have been averted. The system is a highly technical piece of equipment that has many moving parts and requires maintenance for general cleaning as well as safety inspections to determine all the functions of the furnace are operating properly. A failure to do so could jeopardize the proper operation of the system as well as the warranty with the manufacturer due to the lack of maintenance. While we sympathize with your frustrations on this issue, proper maintenance would have avoided this.

As stated in the prior letter I sent to Revdex.com on this past Saturday, this issue with the client has been resolved for a few weeks now.  Please contact the client to verify.

Response:
As we had received this document we had passed the final inspections with the township of [redacted]. All violations with the township had been rectified and resolved. The permits are the only issue at this point. We had advised [redacted] on or about May 13, 2014 that we could not waive the permit fee but would be willing to waive the processing fee. Our stance from May stands today. We would waive the processing fee of $50 which would bring his total amount due to Mid-State, $498.00.

Unfortunately our company has had some turnover in the past few months with regard to our office personnel which has delayed our response on this matter.  That being said, our response is that the technician that was at the house is a very seasoned and ethical person.  I am shocked by the...

accusation that he purposely and willingly tried to coerce you into making a purchase that would potentially not be necessary.  I do question the aspect of the complaint where it is stated that the technician "threw something behind a bush".  Why did you not question him why he was throwing something behind the bush?   That doesn't make sense to me.  Our company policy is such that does not allow for the technicians to state that equipment "has to be replaced".  Our technicians give recommendations of repair versus replacement and offer options as to what would be the best for the given situation.  Whereas I do not believe that that one party is lying versus the other but rather believe there is a misinterpretation of the circumstances.  The original complaint was on July 12, 2015, a Sunday.  The original service call that Monday, July 6th.  A 2nd technician from another company on 7.7.2015.  In a handful of days you decide to file complaint(s) rather then call the office to ask what's up?  You claim to have called the salesman yet the salesman has no recollection.   I would like to see the service report from the other company prior to any resolution.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: floor was not wet when tech came to fix furnace for no heat---water came after he left and there is no rust as claimed.  It was not a slight leak as indicated
