Camptown RV

Purchase RV airconditionar from company. Does not cool adequately.Contacted Camptown RV company for service of a Park Model air conditioner. Rep from company called back and stated that he had assessed present A/C and that it needed to be replaced. Stated that he had one in stock that would fit. Agreed on price, and A/C was changed by them May 2013. Post insertion I was told by an employee that the one they put on was in their storage building over a year, and that it fit, so, they used it. After installation, I immediately noticed that the A/C did not cool adequately as early as 900am in the morning and by 2pm the temperature was above 80 degrees. Called Camptown and requested they come check the A/C. Was told they would. Waited 4 days, anc no one came. Went by office and requested they check A/C. Was told they would come. Waited 2 weeks, no one came. Called again, with no results again. Went by office again, and was told they were coming that day; no one came. Went back by office the next week, and requested they at least check the freon in it since they had told me they had it in storage for over a year. Was told: freon doesn't leak out, and the A/C may not be able to cool the camper. Explained, that they replaced the A/C, and it should have been replaced with same size that was on the Park Model, and if they did, it should cool fine as the previous one did until just before they were called to check it. Was asked condescending questions such as: "what do you set your temperature on, do you go in and out of the doors a lot, what is the temperature in there right now." I answered all the questions, and was told they would come that day...did not show up again. Since they have been called numerous times, and I have personally gone by the office nurmerous times since May, it is very obvious that they are not interested in correcting my A/C problem now that they have their money. If the issue is the A/C size,they should have ordered the correct size and then installed it instead of using one they said they had in storage over a year. I feel like they needed to do something with the one they had in storage, so they stuck me with it. Desired SettlementEither refund my money, or put an A/C on it that is able to cool like the one they removed cooled it.
