We here at Campus Auto never had any personal contact with ***The reservation was set up online through U-Hauls websiteAll of the correspondence with *** after the initial reservation were done by U-Hauls own employees at the traffic departmentI will be pasting a copy of all the messages
sent to *** at the end of this Email*** was sent a message stating that she would be getting a ft truck before she arrived at our locationWhen the reservation was set, we did not have a 10ft truck at our location to rent to herWe also did have enough time to transfer in a truck which we do when we have enough time before the rental dateU_Haul does have an equipment guarantee but *** was prewarned before she arrived here that we did not have a 10ft truck and still came in and accepted the 14ft truck that she was given for the 109ft priceNormally a 14ft truck is more expensive*** did not have to accept the substitution of the trucks and then may be applicable to the reservation guarantee but she accepted the truck at the lower price so therefore she got the equipment at the time she requestedAs we(Campus Auto) never had anything to do with the reservation, and being an independent U-Haul dealer basically just renting the truck that we personally did not schedule, I feel that ***s complaint should not be with us personally, but with U-Haul corporationPlease let me know if you(Revdex.com) require any more information from meCampus Auto has a perfect rating with the Revdex.com and our reputation is very important to usWe pride ourselves on customer service and if you read the other U-Haul reviews of our location you will see others that had a problem with U-Haul corporate but gave us personally glowing reviews for us always trying to do our best to help themWe just do not always have control over the reservations being sent to us
I hope this hopes to clarify thingsI want to have a successful completion of this complaint

Just to clarify a few of the location messages show us, dealer#48103, but the entered by is never a Campus Auto employeeThey are all either webbest, which is the U-Haul website, or Roberta Tucker, who is the traffic manager at U-Haul corporate, who can log into our system and send messages with our dealer# on itYou can also see where a message was sent to *** stating she was getting a 14ft truck at the 10ft price

The individual, ***, who responded
to my complaint is completely lying with his first responseCampus Auto DID
have direct contact with me when I made my reservation because I called their
business telephone number and spoke with ***
I never received an email stating
that I would be getting/reserved a 14’ truckI did however receive an email that
stated I would be getting a 10’ truck at 10:00AMAgain, not the guaranteed
time that *** gave me when I made the reservation over the phone with her by
directly calling Campus Auto
We also did have
enough time to transfer in a truck which we do when we have enough time before
the rental dateThis sentence was directly copied and pasted from
***’s response, and it doesn’t make any sense to meCampus Auto did NOT have
enough time to transfer in a new truck, or I would have gotten the 10’ truck I
reserved with them
If a company services products
through a third party, then that company should adhere to the policies of that
third partyThat is what makes a good business that deserves high customer
service ratingsCampus Auto does not deserve such ratings
If they cannot guarantee the
“guarantee” U-Haul promises, then they need to direct their customers to the
appropriate personnel at U-Haul to rectify this situation

I guess that my final word is that *** had the option to deny the ft truck and go elsewhere to get a ft truck if that is what she really wantedWe honored the original estimate as far as pricing goes so she did not pay any more for a larger truckWith that being said, our contractional obligations were met and she is not eligible for the $equipment guaranteeIf she had denyed the rental, then I could understand giving her the money
