Review: Quick breakdown: I am owed $150 by Campus Copy Center. I filed an insurance claim for $150 more than 5 months ago. Of the 6 emails I have sent to Campus Copy Center, I heard back 2 times. The average delay between contacting Campus Copy Center and receiving a response is 2.5 months and growing this very instant. Detailed summary: On February 3rd, 2014 I visited Campus Copy Center to return a retail item to the manufacturer through their [redacted] shipping service. I also paid for insurance covering the full value of the item, $850. When the manufacturer received the item, they reported, Upon examination we found severe damage to the case (reported previously) but regretfully also severe damage to the unit itself. We deduct between USD 100 200 for new damaged items. In this case we will deduct USD 150. In late February, I spoke on the phone with the manager to begin the claim process and was told that I would be contacted shortly. After not hearing back, I sent an email on March 6th detailing the insurance claim along with photographs that documented the damage. Between March 6th and March 25th I received no response from Campus Copy Center. On March 25th, I sent another follow-up email detailing the insurance claim. The next time I heard from them was May 8th in an email in which they requested more documentation of the damage from the manufacturer. I contacted both Campus Copy Center and the manufacturer the shortly afterward to obtain more documentation. On May 21st I sent them a credit note from the manufacturer which explicitly noted the $150 in damage to the item. On June 29 I had still received no communication from Campus Copy Center and sent another email to remind them of the outstanding claim. On July 24th I was able to reach the manager by phone and he told me he was certain that the matter would be resolved on Friday, the 25th. It was not, and I have still not heard from them.Desired Settlement: Campus Copy Center owes me $150 and must produce cash or a check in this amount immediately.

September 11, 2014Dear Ms. Butts,I received your letter with the claim from [redacted]. The story he told you was incorrect. We are just an authorized shipping agent for [redacted] and when there is a claim we only can contact [redacted] about the claim and they are the ones who have to decide if the claim is valid or not and if so how much to pay out which can take months for them to process. Campus Copy Center does nothing more then ship the product and insure the product for the customer thru our store but as I said earlier has nothing to do with paying out the claim. The customers issue should be with [redacted] not us which he was told on many occasions.Since we received your letter we have received the claim check from [redacted] and sent it certified mail to the customer but unfortunately he wasn’t there to receive it so it was being returned to our store. The customer was informed of this issue and requested that we contact him when it is returned and he will pick it up.Thank you,Ronald S
