While this situation was very unfortunate and we completely understand the distress that was caused by this incident, we were unable to transfer his daughter to another community because we managed no other community owned by the same entity. ...

We did immediately offer to transfer his daughter on- site to an apartment facing the back and not the front parking lot. In addition, we also informed Mr. [redacted] that should his daughter decide to move, we would try and re-lease her apartment as soon as we could, thus mitigating any obligation under the lease contract signed. Because we were having trouble getting a contractor to fix the window in a timely fashion, we did let his daughter out of her lease as soon as we leased one other apartment- we knew it would be hard to lease her particular room since we could not get the window fixed as quickly as we wanted and did not want to penalize her for that. From my last conversation with Mr. [redacted], the situation was resolved when I informed him that his daughter's lease obligation had been fulfilled. While this was an incident that the property could not have prevented, we sincerely regret that such an incident would happen to any resident and are grateful that no one was hurt.

I appreciate the company doing the right thing. They were always responsive but we could not come to terms on how to resolve the issue. I have no issues with the company now and may be moving into another building they manage.
