Campus Inn Reviews (7)

We stayed four nights at Campus Inn On the morning after our first night stay, I received a call from Luke L [redacted] , the manager of the hotel He was anxious because the maids had discovered combs for removing nits from hair I explained that I had just picked up a new foster child the day before and before coming, treated her with Permethrin Creama prescription strength ointment for killing lice and their eggs I had also washed the child's clothing and the child was free of any lice before our arrival The eggs(nits) cannot hatch but I wanted to remove them from her hair lest the day care notice them and not know that she was properly treated I explained this to MrL [redacted] and he agreed to let us continue our stay I asked him if we were all good then and he said that everything was fine However the next day we received no housekeeping services I went downstairs to request towels and informed the front desk They told me that the manager was not available until mi

I used to stay at the Campus Inn regularlyOnce a month or so, I travel to Missoula for business, usually staying for 3-nightsI have always had a good experience Most of the employees have been fantastic, and even the employee who committed a mistake was a possibly decent dudeBUT-this is where it gets crazy On a recent stay, I had a morning business meeting but had left my chargers at a colleagues the night beforeKnowing my phone would be dead and that I would be stressed, she called the hotel in the morning and asked to be connected to my roomFair enough that Matt, the young guy at the desk, said he couldn't do that (although if someone knows your full name, it is basic hospitality to transfer a call)After repeated efforts to get Matt to understand the seriousness of the call, since we were in the midst of a big project and I didn't have a charged phone/computer, my colleague got increasingly frustrated at the lack of any helpHe wouldn't even get a message to meLater he told me he couldn't find my reservation, which I promptly asked him to show me his screen and there it wasI have three names, unique enough that any version would've been adequateThe colleague had my phone number, email address, etcRegardless, no message was passed, no attempt to provide service, and more than half a day's worth of work was lost I called the manager, explained the situation, Matt and I had already realized it was a simple mistake but that I should still be given some type of discount since I would be needing an extra day to finish the project which meant one more night's stayTHE MANAGER WAS RIDICULOUS! He blatantly asked if my friend was handicapped, at which point I interrupted him to ask why that mattered, and he went on to say "Oh you're interrupting me? She must be handicapped and helplessAre you handicapped and helpless?", which made no sense since AWhy would it matter if we were handicapped (she isn't, nor am I)and BShe was obviously not helpless and was making numerous attempts to connect with me without knowing what room I was in, at the very least to leave a messageManager continued to be bothered by my interrupting him as he called my colleague multiple other names such as unstable (she is not)At this point I started laughing, and his response "Oh, you're crying now? You're unstable tooYou must be handicapped and helpless tooIf this is who you do business with and with this instability, you must leave the property" I laughed again and asked if he was serious, and he wasSo there I am, without a car, raining, luckily Matt, having realized he made a mistake found me a charger so I had a phone, on a Friday night in Missoula with all other hotels booked After half a dozen stays at this property, I am certain every single other employee would vouch for me being a maintenance (I don't even ask for room-keeping and have never even had a guest with me), I am quite nice, and a very stable personI assume manager either wanted me out because it would've been a 5th night which would've warranted a discounted stay (nights, 5th free) along with a genuine guest complaint on a night where prices in town spiked due to a concertRegardless, his assumption that handicapped equals helpless, especially considering people who are neither, is ridiculously offensiveIf you are staying here, most employees are wonderfulBut know you are also giving money to a guy who belittles, calls guests names and has no clue what running hospitality actually meansI will be filing complaints with ADA amongst others

I spoke to the consumer and advised them that we would be laundering their stuff separately There will be no billing adjustment

Guest [redacted] reserved the room via internet on March 3rd, 2016 for the night of April 22nd 2016 for the night of Grand Prix race weekend at Purdue University. She agreed to 48 hrs cancellation policy prior to arrival date before 2:00PM. According to our records she and her family checked...

in at 11:10PM in to the Suite Room we have in our hotel and that is what she reserved. I have reviewed & verified the date and time stamp from the signed registration form and credit card slip by her. I have also reviewed the security camera system for their arrival time and departure time. She was the last guest checked in that evening. We were fully booked (100% occupancy) that night. According to the security camera system time stamp her husband returned to the front desk exactly at 11:38 PM ehich is after 28 minutes from the check in time, stating they had "family emergency" and they have to leave not mentioning anything disgusting and dirty room. They has spent well over 20 minutes in the room using everything including toilet and beds. Our nature of business is to provide clean bathroom, fresh towels, clean bed and clean room to the guest. This is limited service motel and not full service hotel. We do not have housekeeping staff to clean the room middle of night to re-rent. This is well reputed motel in the area and serving Purdue University and West Lafayette city for more than 30 years.According to our records and after reviewing the security tape, our determination is that the front desk personal performed his duties with respect and professionalism and followed all the protocols as he was trained. He did not raise his tone as Ms. [redacted] did during her call on 04/26/16. When she called on 04/26/16 and talk to my employee, stated the same story of "FAMILY EMERGENCY" as her husband stated on their departure on 04/26/16 night at 11:38 PM.What surprises me is that Ms. [redacted] had completely changed her story for leaving the room from "FAMILY EMERGENCY" to a "disgusting and dirty". We really don't know what to believe. Ms. [redacted] reserved the 2 Queen Bed Suite Non Smoking which has been recently renovated and barely used because itis more expensive then standard rooms. It has new beds & blankets. As far as bed sheets and pillow cases are concern, we guarantee they are clean as we use "Aramark Linen Services" for our bed sheets and pillow cases which come washed and ironed every week with guarenteed clean quality for more than 20 years. We invite Revdex.com to come and inspect the room anytime without any prior notice to verify Ms. [redacted]'s story. It was their voluntary decision to leave the room in middle of the night, Campus Inn is not obligated to refund her credit card. Refund policy is posted in the lobby. There is no way Campus Inn is going to absorb the cost of loss of revenue. Campus Inn did not refuse the service or violated any contract. Campus Inn did provide what was contracted for. What they were told, was that since you had been to the room over 15 minutes and because we had 48 hours cancellation policy we cannot cancel this room or refund the credit card.Sincerely, Frank D[redacted]General ManagerCampus Inn
