[redacted] ***This letter is in response to the complaint filed regarding the listed concerns, At Campus Pierce ArrowProperties, we strive to make sure that we provide safe, secure and comfortable living for all of ourresidents, It has been brought to our attention that there was a concern with the mailboxes at [redacted] apartment building, which was ordered and replaced upon receiptAs soon as we wero madeaware of the defective mailboxes we had to special order new ones and there was a short wait time tocome in,It was also brought to our attention I had one of our residents had and issue with a package, which they hadplaced it in the hallway of their apartment building and did not recover, In regards to the tenants' package,all outgoing packages are to be taken to the proper delivering company for delivery since our outgoingmailbox only allows space for outgoing letter mail via ***It is unfortunate that the resident did notrecover their package; however, we are nol responsible for items left in the hallway or any otl1er areas, Wedo have security cameras in place, which are functioning, but they do not cover all areas of the bllilding, Asin with this particular case, the [redacted] could not view where the resident had left their package, We alsoemploy a security company to notify us of any exterior doors left ajar by a resident in that particular buildingto prevent unwanted entryAgain, we do not take security lightly and have updated security systems in ourbuilding to make sure we are doing the best we can to protect the safety of our residents and the building,Sincerely, [redacted]

Review: The mailbox at the building has been broken for a significant amount of time (approximately two months). This results in all tenant mail being accessible in a public area. This issue is compounded by the fact that the building is not actually secure and monitored. I recently had a package delivered which was stolen. Because I now should file a police report regarding the theft, I inquired regarding how long the security camera film is retained. I was informed by the business's representative that the security cameras do not work so there is no security camera recording. Not only is the practice of having non-functioning security cameras unsafe but it also increases the cost of renter's insurance (required to live in the building). The back entry to the building is often propped open or left slightly ajar which can result in entry to anyone. Many of my co-workers have described this neighborhood as "bad" or "unsafe" so management's disregard for security is quite disappointing.Desired Settlement: Fix the mailbox (the business's representative did tell me that the intent is to fix it soon). Fix the security cameras or install functioning cameras. Inform all current and perspective tenants that the security cameras are non-functional so they can take appropriate safety measures (not letting people into the building, not propping doors open).
