Dirty business practicesMy son lived here for six months in one apartment then transferred lease to a different for four monthsHe was then placed on military active dutyAfter a struggle to be legally released from lease in which an army JAG officer had to get involved he cleared all outstanding bills prior to deployment or so he thought! Scamming peopleSending letters out a year AFTER the student leaves, balance zero when they left, saying they still owe money!

I was SO happy to move in here, and then once I moved in I started waking up with bites on my feet and ankles. At first I thought it was mosquitos but turns out they were FLEA BITES. We don't even HAVE a pet, I have no idea how I have fleas in an apartment I JUST moved into. I'm so livid because 1) nobody gives a crap about it when I went to talk to them. 2) They say someone ONLY comes out on Wednesdays, IF they even decide to come to my room that day, so I'd have to wait 4 days to help fix a problem that is getting worse. They just don't want to pay extra money to have someone come out on a day they aren't scheduled. But sorry, this is THEIR problem. I wake up with more and more bites each day and nobody even cares. 3) There is no after hours number to call them when nobody is in the office, and I've had to spend around 40+ dollars of my own money that I cannot afford to even spend at the moment because nobody will help me, so I had to try to help/fix the problem myself the best I can. Honestly, if I wasn't being bitten every night all over I wouldn't be making such a big deal about this. But this is THEIR problem that I moved in with, so they should be obligated to help me since I'm paying them a lot of money every month. My family and I are so mad at you all.

Although I fully understand [redacted]'s frustrations given the subleasing situation, she was in full knowledge of the contract when she signed her lease. The conflict that arose was not an issue between [redacted] and Campus Quarters, but between [redacted] and the [redacted], the prospect...

sub-leaser. The source of the issue for the subleasing process was not a matter of denying the sublease, but Ms. [redacted]'s pet causing a conflict. The roommates did not agree with having a pet in the apartment which caused the conflict of [redacted] living in that specific unit. In order for [redacted] to be relieved from her lease, her specific unit has to be subleased, and due to [redacted] renting a room that accommodated to her pet, she was no longer relieved. Although [redacted] had paid the termination fee upfront for subleasing, it does not mean the sublease will immediately take affect. Campus Quarters is not required to find someone to sublease for the residents, and the residents do have an option to wait until they find someone to relieve them to pay the termination fee. [redacted] was unhappy having paid the money for [redacted] to sublease, but the pet being the conflict of process caused her sublease to be put on hold until a new prospect were to come about. This issue was not a matter of Campus Quarters 'wanting to keep two occupants'. If there is a prospect who is interested in the property and accommodations can be made to help this prospect rent here easily and hassle free, we will do what we can to make the leasing process work. Ms. [redacted] could have just as easily denied [redacted] of the sublease due to the pet conflict and come back on her own time to see about other options for renting with pet options. [redacted]'s did recently find a young lady to take over her lease she is relieved from her contract with us.Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks,[redacted]Campus QuartersIslander Village

DO NOT rent from this organization unless you enjoy THE worst customer service, the most draconian rental agreement, and their unilateral policy of doing everything in their power to maximize profit at your expense.
You send them money to assist in re-renting a room, they use the money to re-rent your room, to YOU!
You advertise the room, send individuals to them to take over your rental agreement, and they refuse to show them the room, or worse, put the potential renter into a different room to maximize profit. That's right, you get to solicit for them! What a deal!
My daughter rented from this organization, and we ALL paid a very high price!
I can go on and on over the absolute nightmare of trying to contact corporate concerning their policies and deliberate actions to retain you as a renter, with nothing. It is like the corporate office does not even exist. No accountability, no nothing, just frustration and when you are a lotto winner and actually get someone on the phone, they are 20 maybe, a manager, but never assist you. It would be laughable if it wasn't for the fact one is PAYING for their service.
BEWARE!

The only explanation Campus quarters can give is there was different management at the time and they have no idea why he never received bill. No applogy no explanation no offer to help, and serious corporate run around.
