Complaint:
I am rejecting this response because:
Never once did I ever mention hoses Never I never signed a work order that said replace brake hoses The original work order said to replace the rear brake lines They are rusted and corroded and I have to refill the master cylinder weekly because of a leak I dropped off the car before work and had to prepay for services of $because I had to work till 10pm that night and we made arrangements that he would leave the car open and leave the keys inside after the repair was complete Upon picking up the car, I immediately knew something was wrong because the old corroded brake lines were still there and some hoses were in a bag on my passanger seat floorboard I was upset to say the leastThe following day I arrived at *** *** automotive at the shops opening time waiting for *** and *** to arrive Upon arrival, I very calmly showed *** the exact part that was connected to the regulator and asked if he would put the car on the rack so I could show him the problem He did so and after me pointing out the corroded and rusted brake lines dripping with brake fluid did he agree and say that might be the problem In his defense, he stated "well, 9/times it's these hoses back here that need to be replaced."
I went inside to talk to *** the sales manager who was very apologetic He said that I needed to buy the brake lines from the dealership or online or else he would have to mark them up and that would be too costly I said ok, well I already paid you guys $for the wrong work done to my car, can I at least get a discount on the proper repair job? He said ok and left to talk with *** Krebs and came back and said that they will do the labor for $if I bring all the correct parts to them I reluctantly agreed and as I was leaving, he appologized for the miscommunication for the incorrect repair and I went on my wayAfter I had received the brake lines and master cylinder, I had made an appointment with *** Nicastro to drop off my car for them to do the correct install of parts at the agreed upon $labor rate plus the price of the incorrect repair job of $ Again, I was working that night and he said he was going to charge the card on file and he would have it ready for me again with the doors open and keys left inside That night after work, I returned to *** Krebs shop and nothing had been done to the car I wondered what could have gone wrong I had a missed call from the shop since I was at work and began to think how to handle this situation professionally without loosing my cool So, I got a mediator to politely call and ask what the problem wasShe stated that they (*** and ***) required me to replace the exhaust before they do any work to the brake lines and further stated that they would require a waiver form that would allow them to replace anything that went wrong when doing the replacement of the brake lines I was a little in shock and didn't know what to do at that point, so I just put everything on hold and began to save money. After careful consideration and my hard money spent, I have decided not to bring my car back to *** Krebs automotive for fear that they would perform a wrong installation or purposely be wreck less when doing the removal for the old corroded and leaking brake lines It is upon this decision that I contacted the Revdex.com and wrote my first complaint My car by the way still has a leaky master cylinder which I have to refill every other week or so with brake fluidBottom line: *** Krebs automotive performed an incorrect repair and I would like my money back At least, in a good faith effort, the labor cost for the incorrect hose install which totaled $

[redacted] called...

in and asked for an estimate to replace his rear brake hoses. He was provided and estimate over the phone and agreed to it. He then came in and signed a work order specifying he wanted these rear brake hoses replaced. After the repair he stated we fixed the wrong problem and he wanted the brake lines from the master cylinder to the rear brakes replaced. We offered to let him buy his own parts and cut the labor fee in half to help assist him in the cost of this repair. He brought the vehicle back in with the parts he had bought from Honda and asked for this second repair to be done. When my technician racked the vehicle to do this repair we saw two problems. First, the exhaust system was broken in several places and duck taped together (literally, I have photos). He also had a substantial amount of rust present on parts that would need removal in order to replace these long brake lines. He was told that we could not do this job without the exhaust being repaired properly and him signing a waiver stating "if any parts broke upon removal due to rust this facility was not liable." He refused to do so. He then contacted a mediator company to contact us. We explained this situation to the mediator and they said they contacted [redacted] and he was going to get the exhaust work repaired and bring the vehicle back in. He never showed up. Instead he went onto yelp and reviewed our company, not only negatively, but by calling us "the dumbest mechanics," he has ever met. Also on his Yelp account is a review for another auto repair shop in the area where he refers to the mechanic as a "[redacted]."  [redacted] then decided that he would also contact the Revdex.com and complain. There will be no refund issued and do not wish anymore contact with this person whatsoever.

We will do nothing for this client. He is rude and unreasonable. He has posted negative reviews everywhere in an attempt to slander our business. We did nothing, but replace parts he asked to be replaced. We will never work on his vehicle again and would like all contact with him severed.
