For every phone call I take regarding an acid wash on a pool I ask every customer why they want an acid wash done.  I make every customer aware...

what to expect after an acid wash. Every customer is made aware that an acid wash can make the pool streaked and rougher as a result.   This customer was no exception. I Remember the call with this customer and told him we did not want to do an acid wash on 3m quartz because it could turn out streaked and splotchy. Additionally an acid wash will always make a concrete or plaster surface rough. I make all my customers aware of this beforehand. Ask any Professional Pool service company and they will always let the customer know what to expect that there is a chance it will turn out streaked and splotchy and rougher as a result.   He told me he understood but wanted us to do it anyway against our advice just to try and see if it will come out better.       The pool in question was extremely calcified as the pool water was not changed for many years and the owner of the pool confessed he had not taken care of it. The plaster finish was not taken care of at all and was in very poor shape, and we have very calcium in Arizona water supply.   All my technicians saw how bad the pool finish was before, and each can verify it as well as myself. Additionally There were track marks embedded in the plaster all over the pool from the pool vacuum.  As far as the calcification and tracks marks in the plaster, it was as bad as they come.   The customer was made full aware of the possible outcome of any acid wash on his pool and he accepted it and wanted us to try anyway so he would not have to resurface it  which was what was needed in this case. 3M quartz pools are exceptionally hard to get calcium of  so that it does not come out splotchy.   All acid washes on any concrete surface will always etch a pool ,  Its also common sense acid eats concrete and plaster. That's how it cleans the pool,  the acid eats off a layer of plaster and leaving a cleaner surface.  An acid wash is the only real way to get off any calcium staining, however , it is difficult to know how an individual pool will turn out after an acid wash because there are too many variables.  That's why this customer was told  was told from the beginning  that we advise against  it. We started out with a highly calcified pool , with track marks imbedded in the plaster, on a 3m surface that does not do well with acid washes, and after he was told we  advise against it. he wanted us to proceed anyway.   An acid wash is always a last ditch effort to clean a pool before it needs resurfacing.  This customer knew his pool surface was bad and knew it needed to be resurfaced but wanted to try it before he had to go through the expense of resurfacing it.  I don't blame him for that. But when it turned out just like we told him 3m surfaces would, he laid the blame on us and has tried to get a free pool resurfacing out of us.  That's not going to happen. In addition to making customers aware of what to expect from an acid wash, the acid wash disclosure statement is  published on our website regarding what to expect.    I have enclosed the acid wash disclosure statement. Unfortunately it is difficult to make a plaster pool , that needs to be resurfaced in the first place, to turn out like new again after an acid wash.   Most customers know that they will have to eventually resurface the pool. This customer was no exception and he knew going in how bad his pool  was but did not want to put out the money to resurface it.   We have been in this business for 17 years and we have seen a lot of things this is why we are always hesitant to do an acid wash but in extreme cases we will attempt it to help a customer save the expense of a resurface. When a person chooses to own a pool he or she also is then also  burdened with the upkeep and maintenance of the pool including changing the water, maintenance, and eventual resurfacing of the pool. That's the responsibility the pool owner takes on from the day 1,  from the day the pool goes into the ground and the day the water is turned on and from the first day of swimming the pool owner is responsible to maintain the surface, balance the pH and Alkalinity. and change the water. This person did not do what was required. Kyle E[redacted]CanYou Fix My Pool LLC

My spa had been broken since I bought my house. I've never been able to use it. I've shopped around for someone to fix it but nobody was able to take on such a labor intensive project. That was recommended by a friend, and as soon as he saw the hot tub he got straight to work. He got me the best prices. He worked very hard, sometimes hours on end, and got it done within within days. If it weren't for Brad I had tub would stay broken for years.
I've already recommended Brad to a couple of people- I cannot recommend him enough!!!

Due to having problems with our creepy crawler not cleaning our pool like it used to we got concerned that either the pump was going out or the vacuum. Not knowing we looked online and found this company which from reviews sounded like a great place to start. We called the company on a Friday and never heard anything back so we called again the next day and spoke to someone that told us that he was currently fixing a pool pump and had 1 more pool to clean then would be over that afternoon but after waiting hours and hours we were blown off and they never showed up. They never called to reschedule and once we reached them they said he was overbooked and apologized. We understand how something like this could happen, but professional people call to reschedule and instead of just apologizing try to make it better in some way which they didn't. We still need a pool company but I hope we have a better experience with the next one.

"I called [redacted] because my pool pump was making a horrible noise. He was quick to come out to my house and check it out. Turns out 2 years prior I had someone else fix my pump and he replaced it with a cheap [redacted] pump, and over charged me big time. [redacted] gave me a great deal on a new more efficient and effective pump for the size of my pool. I called him the next day and gave the go ahead for the work to be done. They were calling for rain for the next three days. I expected several days to go by before hearing as to when they would do the work. 2 hours later [redacted] called me and said he could be there in 45 minutes to put in the new pump. [redacted] was professional, worked fast and efficient to get that done before the rain came. My back yard is quiet again and the pump is working great. [redacted] called me a week or so later to see how my pump was working. I am very happy that I contacted Can You Fix My Pool for repairing my pool pump. They were fast, professional and dependable. Wish I called two years earlier. I highly recommend this company for pool service & repair.

Thank so much [redacted] & [redacted]!"

I am the owner of the house that [redacted] was leasing, I hired [redacted] about 5 years ago and he has always done a wonderful job. He takes care of a pool at another house also.

I bought that house about 7 years ago and lived in it for 4 years. It is a great house and a nice pool . The house was built in 2005 so it wasn't old but occasionally things needed to be fixed and were in a timely manner. Almost from day 1, [redacted] was complaining about one thing or another. She didn't mention in her review that she had some how torn off the 8 foot front security door. We finally had to evict her and after she left I found dog poop on the carpet throughout the house. Several thousand dollars later the house in leased. Nothing that [redacted] said of [redacted] or his employees is true and I'm glad she's out of my house

I had a salt water chlorinator replaced for my pool and not only did it work perfectly, the technician also noticed that the previous salt water chlorinator was installed wrong so he redid the plumbing in order to fix it. I highly recommend this business to any pool owner out there.

[redacted] owner very responsive for appointment, assigned Tech [redacted], very personable, knowledgeable, responsive, discussed my 25 year old DE filter with a large base crack, suggested Sand, DE, cartridge options, size, maintenance and price. went with the Cartridge filter system was delivered and installed and running in 2 hrs; superior, scheduling, personal care, followup, knowledge, low pressure made sure I understood all options clearly.
