Service was not done complete to satisfaction. Filter was still very dirty and so were vents. I was told I need to pay extra for duct work as well.Service was done at my rental until on June 24th. I had chosen a complete service package that is more expensive. I thought it would include all cleaning including ducts. But when on-site the service person said it was extra and I would have to pay around $500-600 for the total work. Plus, the price quoted for the extra work was absurd. I have done vents cleaning before with other companies and have never have to pay extra for ducts cleaning. It was always included in the vents cleaning. [redacted]. Furthermore, when I went to check the furnace filters it was still filthy. Canada Wide didn't even bother trying to clean it. I've called the company and was told they don't clean the filter and ducts was not included. They are willing to come back to do the duct work for another $100. [redacted] Business Response On June 15,2015 Mr.[redacted] had scheduled with our firm a promotional package for furnace and duct cleaning for June 21,2015.This package as stated in the advertisement includes the professional cleaning of 10-Supply vents,General furnace cleaning and 1-A/C coil cleaning. Upon inspection of the HVAC system at Mr.[redacted]'s rental property there had not been any evidence of any previous cleaning of the HVAC system previous to our arrival.The system was extremely soiled and the technician notified Mr.[redacted] of these findings and conditions during there inspection of the hvac system giving Mr.[redacted] options to do a complete system cleaning, brushing,wash/sanitizing,servicing and maintenance of his hvac system.At that time Mr.[redacted] did not want to perform anything more than the package deal of $199.95 and 2 extra supply vents for $19.90. the technician then notified Mr.[redacted] of what to expect as an outcome based on the system conditions and had Mr.[redacted] sign the work order in 3 separate spots acknowledging the outcome of the hvac conditions and that he declined our recommendations to cleaning the full system and would not hold us responsible for the results based on the conditions of his hvac and refusing to clean all areas and parts to the system.To clarify Mr.[redacted]'s concern in respect to his filter still being soiled, Mr. [redacted] had a permanent filter in place that required to be washed and flushed out.It is our policy not to perform any cleaning on permanent filters due to potential damage that may occur during the cleaning as these types of filters vary in material and structure.We feel that Mr.[redacted] has received good value for his cleaning package that was performed. In good faith and to satisfy our client we would be willing to rectify this issue with cleaning the additional vents that were declined at NO CHARGE. Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)I still believe it is bad business for company to not clean filter and advertise complete cleaning when they want to charge extra for air return. I have gone worked with other company for vent cleaning and I never ever had to pay extra.
