We had a rep. that came in to check are equipment. He told us that we need a air purifier add to our house to get a rebate from goverment . Once we had install they would send a special agent so we get a rebate. We phone a couple of times to pick the unit up, but since it was the ten days they willn't take it back. I no longer want this unit, it big,ugly and cost to much. I also can't afford it because I am on a fix income. He sold it on false pretext.

Desired Outcome

I would like them to pick this item up and credit my account.

Mrs. requested our services and proceeded on confirming purchase details in writing and several times verbally as well as we like to ensure that the homeowner is fully aware of what contract entails.
As discussed with her directly, she is past her cooling off period therefore at this time we are not able to terminate contract. In terms of the rebate Mrs. is referring to, we are assisting her in obtaining that. Her reference number in regards to the energy audit is ***.

I got a new high-efficiency furnace and tankless water heater installed by Canadian Choice Home Services. They were very easy to deal with. They communicated very clearly explaining the steps in the process from start to finish, including dealing with the challenges of the very tight space in my furnace area. They left the basement clean and took all of the old furnace parts away. The air in the house is noticeably fresher with the new system. They also helped me apply for the government rebate. I would use Canadian Choice Home Services again without question.

Unreliable company with slick sales pitch and very poor service if there are any problems.
They are basically a sales office, and sub out all the work to sub-contractors and apply a huge mark-up.
If you have a problem along the way and call, you will only get voice-mail, and the chances of getting called back are few. If you do get through and speak to someone and they dont like hat you are saying, they claim they have a phone issue and cant hear and hang up.
I got a sewage back up prevention valve installed for which the city of Toronto offers subsidies to the tune of $3400/-. I was sold the idea of it costing me $700/- by a really sharp young man in a uniform and safety vest looking like a city employee. He said they took care of everything.
The work was performed in a few hours. I was then asked to call the city to ask for the inspection. The permit was in the name of the plumber, and their name is obviously not anywhere so other than take your money they could not help in the process. When the city inspection failed, I had to chase them, and in the end drove to their office in Woodbridge to get an answer. When the work was remedied and approved by the city, the application was rejected because of missing information. When I got a hold of them and asked them to do something about it, they came back to me after a week and asked me to call the city to find out what was missing. It seems like their sub-contractor took acre of what the city wanted, but after over 3 months I ended up with a check for $1,250/- from the city. So what they told me would cost $800/-, ended up costing me $2,850/-. The plumber who did the work probably made $1,000/- plus $200/ for materials, the rest, around $2,800/- went to them for extremely poor service.

We have attempted to contact you in order to further discuss your concerns however we were not able to reach you. In regards to the rebate you refer to of $3400.00, please note that subsidy was UP TO $3400.00, it did not guarantee you would be eligible for that amount. Based on the documentation we have (sales purchase agreement that you signed and pre & post verification calls), the cost value of the upgrade you agreed to is not $700.00 or $800.00 and there is no reference to a specific rebate amount. In terms of the subsidy submission, we did attempt to assist however we are limited as to what we can do as you are the registered homeowner. We attempted to obtain information in regards to your file and why it was rejected however we were not able to do so. We have been unfortunately experiencing technical difficulties with our phone system and we do apologize for any inconvenience that that may have caused you. Should you have any further questions or concerns regarding your file please contact us, the compliance manager has left a voice message with her contact information.

My Husband and I had the best experience with this Company. We had insulation done in the attic and a water softener put in the basement. The job was extremely done well and our savings are going to be great. Nader H. who came to our home was excellent and very very helpful.
He explained everything and he is always welcome in our home.
We just wish that we had have heard of this company long ago. Can't imagine how much more money we would have saved

My boyfriend and I scheduled an appointment for someone from Canadian Choice Home Services to come to our home to help us with the flooding we had a few months ago! We don't know how they found us but we are glad they did because after the incident our insurance company did not cover everything for the damages that occurred in our home. They helped us by installing a back water valve into our house. We considered the salespersons offer at first and contacted him back in a few days to come and finish the paperwork because we wanted some time to think it over and do some research on their product and company. It's been a week now since the job has been done. The job was done very professionally and the technicians did not leave a mess behind. We are still waiting for the rebates to arrive as mentioned by Canadian Choice that it would take approximately 2-3 months to arrive. Overall we are very happy with the decision we made and everyone in the company has been very helpful. Thank you for taking care of us!

Alex the representative who came to my home was very helpful and professional. He answered all my questions and concerns. I asked a lot of questions and he was very patient and walked me through the whole process. Looking forward to seeing the results after the upgrade and all the smart products.
