This is my experience with chamber foods and I hope any body that looks into this realizes that there is absolutely no savings.
As a person hunting around looking to save money on grocery cost I came across chamber food. Looking into it it sound like good savings so I'll have someone come to my house and explain it, how it works and the savings.
The sales person was at my house for quite some time because I had a lot of questions. In all according to them I'd save about $1500 by the end of the year. My wife and I are thought it was a great Idea. Nice to have freezers full with a lot of selections. They also said we can have a loaner freezer because we only have a small deep freezer and it wasn't enough. We were also told that we should split our order in case we wanted to make changes or cancel.
So our order came on Aug 19. We were very happy with our order when it came lots of variety and most of the meat was of high quality. (The ground beef was pitched as lean, so lean you'll probably have to add oil to it to cook it. Just the opposite. It's not appealing and I've bought better med ground beef from the grocery store). For the most part we were happy.
Until 5 months in when I went to modify my order for my second shipment. I called up and the person on the other end was very receptive and ready to help. When she returned to the phone she tells me that we received a full years shipment. I said that can't be it will work out almost perfectly for 6 months. I'll be out of food in 29-31 days right about the time a new order will be coming in. Trying to call and deal with the person that came to my house and sold the order. Now just getting the run around. So now for a years order which worked out to $4008 for 6 months of food. I now have to pay the remainder of it with nothing to show for it. Empty freezer. They sent my 209lbs of vacuum sealed meat and another 70 of hotdogs pizza etc. of freezer food. Which still even at a pound a day still doesn't equal 365. So how can you say it's a year supply of food? This is bad math and bad business. So they send juice, veggies and other frozen stuff. Which now with their math I'm stuck paying for a full year. It works out to almost $11 a lbs. $8 for a can of frozen juice. $11 for a bag of vegetables. $11 for ground beef. Not only that since I've been screwed over I've been weighing everything and absolutely nothing comes to a pound. Everything is right around 15 oz. So yes they say 209 lbs minus 14 lbs. They say we've over eating our order. We were on vacation for 2 weeks dinners at families houses, eating out once a month and a bonus pack which isn't a bonus pack and it's gone it 6 months
[redacted] You can get a 10 bulk pack of ground beef at a local grocery store cheaper that you can a single pound from them. I buy juice from the grocery store for a dollar a can not $8. The only good thing I have to say is I'm glad I only signed up for the meat pack and not their grocery pack.
