I am deeply unsatisfied with this company, I found their package extremely low in quality for the amount of $699, which I paid for and was promised a full taxable refund, what I wasn't told was that the business would have to be up and running for me to claim this invoice! I specifically asked and made my decision based around getting my money returned through a tax credit under my personal account, under 'new business/government grant applications! On top of everything else, the information provided in the package can easily be found for free, or for much cheaper, in various places! I feel misguided by their representatives and greatly annoyed that these types of business exist when good citizens are doing their best to grow the economy with new innovations and ideasIn hindsight, at least I've learned my first lesson to do more extensive research when providing anyone my money!

The lady on the other end called me, [redacted] "[redacted]," "[redacted]," simply because I didn't want to give her information on my e-mail, business, or my full name. I told her my phone number and asked that she not call me. I called back and asked for a manager and she replied "that's me you [redacted]."

How professional. She wrapped up her call (during which I wasn't able to get a full sentence out) by screaming "I am going to have every single one of my agents call you ALL DAY ON MONDAY."

This business wouldn't give me my money back for a product they couldn't offer me. After forever calling to get my money back, they kept on hanging up18th March - On first interaction with CGBC They told me the $699 would be refunded if a grant was denied. Not 3 rejections as mentioned later on after payment was made. Spoke to [redacted]. She was pleasant. They wouldn't give me an email address for some reason. This rang a few bells. They sent through the info I paid for a day later as the first email they sent didn't come through. I rang them and told them and they sent it again with no issues. Next phone call regarding not being able to find a grant suitable. They said they would have their researchers go through it and find some for me as I found 25 possible at first and the on closer research, none we're suitable. They sent me 70 possible grants for what they thought were suitable the next day. None were.I rang back on the 20th March, spoke to [redacted] and said that they weren't suitable and asked how they could come with these possibilities as they didn't have much info on what I was looking for. She said she would speak to the researcher on what they were exactly searching for and get back to me either that day (20th march) or the next day. They never called me back so I called them. When called back I spoke to [redacted] who now seems to be an owner or manager. I told her the situation and all she did was talk over me. She wouldn't let me talk, kept cutting me off and refused to give me my money back. She wouldn't even hear my input. she refused to believe the lack of info I was supplied was inadequate before taking my money. Not once did I raise my voice at her. [redacted]. She hung up on me after a very short one sided conversation where she wouldn't let me speak. [redacted] tried to tell me that everything they offered was classed as a grant as I initially told them I was after a grant for building an aquaponics system. This is not the case as a grant is to receive money without payment back. (Grants are non-repayable funds disbursed by one party (grant makers), often a government department, corporation, foundation or trust, to a recipient, often (but not always) a nonprofit entity, educational institution, business or an individual. In order to receive a grant, some form of "Grant Writing" often referred to as either a proposal or an application is usually required). She didn't even know what she was selling. It was very clear on the first conversation what I was looking for, although they sent me information for loans and un-related info claiming it was suitable. I called back asking for the manager and told the receptionist that I wanted to complain about the lady who I just spoke to [redacted]. It turns out [redacted] to whom I just spoke to was the manager ([redacted]). She told me I wouldn't receive my money back, told me her definition of a grant was which is different to everyone else in the world. [redacted]. She then Called me back 5 minutes later and told me she didn't want my business and would refund me within 5 business days. [redacted]. I couldn't even get a word in to tell her anything whatsoever. All I wanted was my money back for a product they told me I could apply for, but couldn't even start the process as there wasn't a grant available for my situation. [redacted]. [redacted]. Received list, went through it, did not see anything to apply for(had financing already, was interested in grants). Called a few times, left messages etc. Talked to Linda again, said they would research and send me a list. May 5, list came on email, mostly financing which I had, minorities, training etc, which doesn't apply to me. Left more messages over a couple weeks, finally talked to Linda June 7. The customer service is really low. the person that I am dealing with is rude. and the do not listen to the customers as the total interrupted me while I was speaking. also they have told me that I can get my money back for the package that I revived and now they are telling me that I have to submit 3 letters of denial. when I contact the companies the do not do the denial letters. now I will not get my money backDesired SettlementI would like to have my money back [redacted]

This company misled me to believe that they could assistance me in accessing [redacted] grants to assist my small business. Unsatisfied!!!In July 2015 I was a member of an entrepreneur club in [redacted]. I was provided with the name of an agency that provided assistance in accessing [redacted] grants to assist small businesses. I made contact with a representative ([redacted])who led me to believe that the agency office was located in [redacted]. We spoke a couple of times on the phone during which time I was told that there were numerous grants available that I would qualify for and that she would guide me through the necessary steps to secure a [redacted] grant. The cost for their service was quoted as $699.00 but I was assured that if I was unsuccessful, the fee would be fully refunded. I provided my credit card information which was quickly processed. For this fee I received an e-book with some information on obtaining [redacted] grants. I also received an email listing some available [redacted] grants, none of which were applicable to my type of business. I made several calls to [redacted] requesting grant information which would be more applicable to my business. Her responses would be brief and usually ended by her stating that she would do some research and get back to me; however, she would never call me back. It quickly became obvious that she was avoiding me.Any information on grants that was sent to me was useless and was available to anyone on [redacted] websites. This so called agency did nothing to assist me and clearly they only wanted my money. When I attempted to get a refund I was told that I required three letters of rejection before I could qualify. I was later told that after six months too much time had elapsed and that I no longer qualified for a refund. This requirement had not been explained until six months had elapsed. Had they returned phone calls this process would never had extended beyond six months.I had been misled to believe that I had been dealing with [redacted] when in fact I had been dealing with Canadian Grants Business Centre. This is not a reputable company and I would discourage anyone from using them. Any information that they provide is available on line free of charge. I am out $699.00 which [redacted] is a lot of money. Complaint[redacted].My dispute is that while speaking with [redacted] we talked about all the possible grants out there for a new business owner like myself, being under 35 and a farm (a hobby farm)there is so many options and if I paid$ 699 they will help me find as many grants available to me, help with my business plan. She also stated that if I didnt like the service and found nothing supported what I was looking for I get my full refund back. I called her the following day after I paid the fee and received my ebook and I found nothing was compadable with my business. I told her that I wouldnt need her services and would like a refund. She said that was ok as long as I made my business plan and selected from their list of loans or grants they provided me with. I told her I didn't want her business so she said that's fine but I can only get my refund if I set out and find 3 loan or grant lenders from the list and they deny me. Then with a letter stating from those borrowers that they denied me I email those to their office and I'll get my refund. Nothing in their list of lenders are compadable with my business! Complaint[redacted].May 2016 I applied for a pkg had to send in 699 dollars to receive something that I could have gotten from government for nothing. It was a pkg to tell me how to do a business plan to send back to recieve info to apply for loans and grants. They infomed me that if I get rejected from these loans I could send them the letters and get my money back. They rejected my rejection letters. Canadian Business Publishers charged me $699 for outdated, useless information on how to obtain government grants for my small businesses. When I requested the refund my Agent, Andrea T[redacted] promised if I was unhappy with the product, I was repeatedly hung up on.
