I returned home to find my wife upset over her interaction with someone from Canadian Property Stars who was going door to door in our area. The you guy would not take no for an answer when trying to sell her lawn core aeration. And became very rude and pushy. She smartly ended the conversation. My wife can handle herself, but I worry about older neighbours who are more easily intimidated. Get your act together guys. This sort of pressure selling is just plain wrong.

I tried this company a couple of times and decided to not use them, since their worker had slight idea how to use the machine the second time. Since then it's been almost impossible to get off their list. I've been getting communication every year to do my lawn, and every time I tell them to take me off their list! And yet I am still on there. What the hell! I would not recommend this company. They have attachment problems, they will not let you go!

Payment was made to a representative of this company around May 2019 for driveway sealing. We requested that it be done later in the year , as we were having some landscaping work done and did not want to mess up the driveway after it was done. This was agreed upon. The work was never done. In October I contacted the company several times - left voice messages and sent an email regarding the contract not being honoured and requesting a refund. It was never possible to reach someone by phone when I called. On one occasion, I received a call from the company to follow up on my message and I communicated my request for a refund. I stated that the work had not been completed and I did not want to defer to 2020. The representative acknowledged my request for the refund and confirmed the address to which it would be mailed. They said I would receive it shortly. I have not received the
refund to date. I tried several more times to contact this company and have left messages asking about the status of the refund. I have had no more responses from them. As of Dec 27, 2019, the refund is still outstanding and I have had only one occasion where I actually spoke with a person from the company.

On April 9, 2019 I received de-thatching/power racking services from this company and agreed to pre-paid for their Star Plan Pro option. I paid $335 in addition to previous payment to add the Start Plan Pro. The following services that are included in such program were never render: Summer Fertilization, Fall Fertilization, Fall Core Aeration, Fall Lime Treatment and Fall Over-seeding. I have been calling their 1-866-912-5296 phone, leaving voice mail and e-mails messages asking to contact we to resolve this issue . No respond from business since I started the inquiry process 4 weeks ago.

Canadian Property Stars would like to apologize to Ms. *** for the delay in response to her complaint. Having looked into her file, it was discovered that her property was not serviced due to an internal clerical error. Ms. will receive her requested refund within the next 1-2 weeks.

April 27th, 2019 purchased a Plan service which was suppose to take place in the fall, including core aeration, fertilization, over seeding & lime treatment. According to their website, this should’ve happened late August to October. To date we have emailed once with no reply, phoned 3 times with 1 voicemail callback & tried faxing a letter with contract to find the number is NIS. Was also assured the seeding done in April was chafer beetle resistant, which is now obvious it was not.

We agreed to a Star Plan Pro on May 27, 2019. They did one treatment and have not been back to complete any of the other lawn treatments we paid for. I have tried calling numerous times (almost 10 times), left detailed messages as no one ever answers the phone... and no one has phoned back.
On the day of purchase they said they would call before the next treatment is due and have not. No one has come by and no one has called us back. This is extremely unprofessional and becoming a waste of our time trying to get in touch with anyone to speak to us.

On Monday August 26th, 2019 I was approached at my home by a man named *** from Canadian Property Stars. He offered to seal my driveway for $150, so I did a quick search online of their company and accepted his offer. Unfortunately he got some of the driveway sealant on part of my house and garage door. When I confronted him about this he informed me that I would be contacted by his company within 2 weeks, and they would schedule for their "clean-up crew" to come and remove the sealant. At the time I also requested the email address/phone number for the cleanup crew incase I didn't hear back from them. After 3 weeks I heard nothing back and decided to email them. I received no response. I then called 2 or 3 times over the next month and left messages with no response.

I am rejecting this response because:
It is unacceptable that Canadian Property Stars thinks it is ok to provide this type of sub par service to its customers. I have voicemail, as does everyone else with a cellphone in this country. It is next to impossible to find a phone in canada that will actually give you a "busy signal" when you call it. The company did not respond to my email (I have been checking my spam folder), and they certainly did not leave me a voicemail on my phone. Their excuse is unacceptable. They ignored me for over a month and a half and hoped that I would give up. The excuse of a "busy signal" is not acceptable. The only reason the company is responding now is because it is concerned about its *** rating, otherwise Ithey would have continued to ignore me. I will accept a partial refund of $75 and the cleaning of the sealant off of my house and garage door.

His refusal to provide a phone number that we can use shows that he wishes to prolong this matter. As promised, his property is on file for a cleanup. Our management will take care of the cleanup as per our 100% Workmanship Guarantee or he can received a full refund to close the file. On March 9, 2019, I prepaid for lawn aeration services using my *** card. This was in response to a sales call that the company placed and I agree to prepay for this service, to happen in the spring. This service did not happen. I have emailed the company twice, and left voicemail messages twice. No one will respond.

low grade cheap sealant, concrete is painted on, not taped up, looks ugly, cracks not filled, sealant is very sparsely sprayed. poor cleaning process
the contractor came. we agreed on a price in cash. he left to tend to another property. he returned in an hour to clean the driveway with a construction knife. no trimmer, no chisel nothing other than that knife. he used a blower to blow the dirt and debris off the driveway. didnt use a broom, or a brush, or a pressure washer. just the blower. he then dumped all the crack filler in between the house and garage, ignoring any other cracks on the property.he spread the filler on the area, getting the concrete garage step dirty with filler in the process.there was an oil stain close to the garage which he ignored and covered with filler, then sprayed some sealant to cover the rest of the stain. at this point just the end of the driveway closest to the garage was filled. he seemed in a very big rush to get to another property so he left. he returned in another hour (by that time it got dark) and barely wire brushed the other stain and paint splatter that was on the driveway. he also brushed the edges of the driveway to try to remove some stuck on dirt. again, no washing, no sweeping, according to him this was sufficient. he then blew all the wire brushed debris off. I was watching the whole time and upon touching the surface prior to sealing I could feel loose dirt and sand still on the surface. I mentioned it to him and he said it wouldn't make a difference. he sprayed sealant on the whole driveway and didn't get it on the rest of the concrete because I clearly stated that I would not be ok with it if he did it again. he sprayed unevenly in some areas and well in others. some places are kind of sparsely sprayed. I watched other contractors earlier in the day covering another area in my neighborhood and they seemed very attentive to detail so I assumed the entire company was that way and got the service here.he gave me a receipt and invoice number at the end of it 0317. the driveway is drying very shiny.
my issues:
1.poor preparation of driveway and very little time spend on whole job in general (very rushed and poor work). the driveway was prepared poorly, which will show up once the driveway gets used and the sealed comes off quickly. the concrete was not taped up and is now dirty and ugly looking because it got crack filler all over it. the driveway was BARELY cleaned in the dark, because he returned at night and still didn't do a proper cleaning. I turned on a flood light to help him see, but nighttime is not an OK time to do the job.He probably spent a total of 30 minutes on a 4 car space driveway. I believe he drove around more minutes than he spend on our property.
2. cheap bad quality sealant. I spoke on the phone with *** (which manufactures sealants and other Asphalt products) and they stated that if sealant dries shiny it is cheap, poor quality material that will very quickly come off and leave the driveway ugly.
3.the company itself. not just the contractor, but the whole company is my issue. they didn't provide him with work gloves, a mask, glasses, anything to cover his pants. the guy's hands, arms , pants, legs and shoes were completely covered in the tar. it smells and looks toxic, where is the workplace safety?! im sure they also underpay their employees because I have read reviews. this employee may have had more incentive to care if the company paid fairly. the guy looked overworked, stressed and anxious. the repercussions should be on the company, not the employee.

they did not pick up the phone on their end each time I tried to call. I would get placed on hold and then an automated voice would say "sorry no one is available to take your call at this time" and hang up. I tried to call at least 10 times and each time I would get a hung up call.

I already emailed said buisness prior to all complaints and they have not yet responded to any of my emails. I am not going to keep wasting my time playing games. This buisness deserves an f for communication, and f in every regard. The sealant that I said would come off quickly, the crap they sprayed on our driveway is already gone in some areas. I can clearly see the asphalt stones that are white in colour showing through the sealant. The cars were not allowed on the driveway for several days to allow the sealant to set. Now, despite all the waiting, this trashy cheap sealant is still worn away on some parts of the driveway. We have used it for a maximum of 2 weeks and here are already terrible results from their work ! If I paid someone on *** they would have done a proper job, as I have already interviewed several driveway sealing contractors in my area and they have walked me through their proper process of sealing and what they would have done. And they offered to do it for cheaper than what I paid Canadian property stars! The company cut corners, did a *** job and now they're evading all my attempts in settling the matter!

After looking into her file, *** has purchased a Spring Lawn Rejuvenation Service with us. The services for this program were performed on April 12th, 2019. The Spring Service consists of Aeration, De-Thatching, Fertilizer, Seed and Lime. It is a one time service.

Only our full season lawn care customers receive Summer Fertilization. *** is not part of that program. According to our records of what was purchased, all services have been rendered.

A number of years ago we responded to a knock on the door of a friendly young man who wanted to seal our drive. He gave us a quote and showed us a couple of drives down the street he had done. He was by himself, did a great job, drive was shiny for quite some time and lasted for years.

As a result of our past positive experience, we contacted the Ottawa company and arranged to have the drive done again. *** in Ottawa was a pleasure to deal with. The crew in Kitchener, not so much. The two young people assigned to us had not been previously trained in neither door-to-door sales nor the actual driveway sealing process. The crew chief ended up doing most of the spraying, had no people skills, ended up screaming at these employees when working on the drive next door.

Contrary to our past experience, the drive turned dull a day after. There must have been a formula change from before. The effectiveness of the job remains to be seen.

I would never recommend the Kitchener operation to anyone.

I tried to get some accommodation but to no avail.

Fast enough to take my money. A month goes by with no word on when they will start work, after 5 weeks of no contact I request a refund which takes them 4 additional weeks. I will never use or recommend this company.

Poor performance and absolutely no follow up after at least 6 weeks. I've been left with an absolute mess of a yard. I'm highly disappointed! Fail on all counts

Company sealed my driveway last August, and got sealant all over my interlock. They said they would come clean it and never did.

I complained the next day and the manager said they were going to clean before the end of the season. They never came. I emailed and called to complain. I also sent them pictures of the mess. They told me they would do it as soon as the warm weather came, and I still haven't heard from them. I emailed them last week and they never responded.

This review is to complain about the mess left on the street in front of my driveway by the driveway sealing crew that sealed my driveway yesterday June 24, 2019. The driveway sealing was done well but the crew didn't finish until it was dark and left the debris swept off the driveway on the street. I never noticed until this morning in the daylight and when I contacted the company they said they would not be returning to clean up the debris because it wasn't on my property even though they moved the debris from my property to the street and the crew assured me prior to starting work that they would clean up their mess. I find this a shoddy business practice - leaving a mess behind after completing the work. It isn't practiced by any of the other contractors that regularly do work for me on my property.
Providing a driveway sealing service consists of more than just sealing the driveway. It also includes cleaning up any mess created while sealing the driveway best case and worst case returning later to clean up any forgotten mess when requested. Canadian Property Stars failed on both accounts - they didn't leave a clean job site and worse they refused to accept responsibility for the mess and come back and clean it up when the client requested they do so.

We've lived in the same house for over 8 years now, and whenever we hired a contractor to clean our gutter they needed a power wash. My mother realized that he is not using one and approached him within 15 minutes and asked him what was going on. He said that he is only going to clean the outside, so my mom asked him to stop the services. He finished what he was doing and left around 15-20 minutes after that.

As a gesture of good faith my mother left him $100. He later came back and demanded an additional $50 saying that's the company policy. My mom paid him another $50. She speaks broken English but managed to ask for a receipt and he left us with a blank receipt.

Once she told me, I had to go and look around the neighbourhood to try to find him to get him to write what he did on the receipt which he refused to do at first and said the blank piece of paper was an official receipt. I've attached the receipt for your kind review.

Our house is definitely not small nor large. The regular price is $279 yet this guy was asking for $400 and then $350.

Even at $350 the house has four sides and three sides for the garage (which he promised to clean).

Lets exclude the garage. $350/4= $87.50, yet he demanded $150 for not even finishing one side of the house.

At this point this is not about the money, someone took advantage of my mother because of her broken English and this is unacceptable. I will never allow anyone to take advantage of my family. I'm asking for a full refund by the end of Friday, June 28th. After which, our lawyers will be filing a case with the Small Claims Court for $150 + Legal costs.

All of our cleaning services are exterior and the gutter cleaning service is an exterior gutter scrub, which is indicated on the contract. Minimum pricing for any of our services is $150.

Someone from Property Stars called my wife back in February and offered to sell us a package for aeration & dethatch. My wife ordered the dethatch only. In early May I came home one day and saw a Property Stars sign on our lawn and noticed that they had aerated the lawn. I checked with my wife and she confirmed that she had only asked for the dethatch as that is the only service that *** does not offer. My wife called in and spoke with someone who was very rude to her over the phone. My wife asked for a full refund and cancelled the dethatch as she was treated poorly over the phone. I called in a few weeks later and asked to speak to a manager and was assured that a manager would call me back after explaining everything. I had requested that someone go back and review the phone call to confirm that my wife only ordered the dethatch service. No one has called since. I have called back in twice since as well as sending an email on June 3rd Very disappointed.

Canadian Property Stars would like to thank Mr. for reaching out to us further. A majority of our customers combine the aeration with the de-thatching service which would resulted in the clerical error of booking an aeration service. His complaint was recorded and was focused on the aeration service which was inputted with a Did Not Authorize note and refund.

Full refund for services was not discussed until later, however the full amount was refunded on June 28th.

had a dethatching service done on my lawn which was not requested tried to cancel via email and telephone, but to no avail, now they want to charge me
on march 15/2019 my wife requested some details about the dethatching service offered by canadian property stars. we have never had this service before and were curious about what was involved. in the end we decided not to move forward with the service.
on May 15/2019 I recieved a call from canadian property stars to tell me that their team was in my area and could do the dethatching service that we had requested, I immediately called them back and told them to cancel this sedvice because we had not requested it, and dudnt need it. yet again on May 29 I recieved yet another call from canadian property stars to let me know that AGAIN they could do the dethatching service that I had previously told them I didnt require. On May 30 I received a last minut cancellation to go in for quite major surgery which would invole a hospital stay and limited ability to move and lift much for the next 6 weeks. While I was in hospital , Canadian property stars cane to my residence and performed their dethatching service, which my daughter inadvertently accepted, being more preoccupied with picking up my medication for my hospital stay.
when I got out the next day, I was distraught when I saw my lawn when I returned home. my lawn which had been green and healthly just the previous day was now missing large chunks of grass and was full of bare patches. three large bags of grass clippings had been left by the side of the house, which I moved out for the garbage 5 days later which meant another trip to my doctors to check my sutures, because I was not supposed to be lifting anything heavy for the next 4-6 weeks,
I informed canadian property stars of my displeasure on June 03/2019 with their work and told them of my decision not to pay. I then asked for a manager to come and check their work so they could see the damage that had been done. I was told that the manager worked from 0630 am to midnight every day and would get out to see me when he was free.
I called back on June 05/19 to ask to speak to a manager and was given the run around again, Also on June 05, canadian property stars had phoned my home to get a hold of my daughter to clarify her credit card details that she had given to the worker when he was here doing the service, I took the call and reiterated my need to see a manager and again of my decision not to pay for this unwante , unrequested service.
I am now left with the job of reseeding and fertilizing my lawn again , possibly resodding some areas, although I cant do that until im healthy. Having Canadian property stars out to do this service is NOT an option

There is no mention of whether or not I am getting charged for the initial unwanted service, no acceptance of any blame or wrongdoing. So NO I will not be accepting this resolution

wont answer calls. when worker guy finally came he talked about needing a tip after (have used this service for last 3 years and not one guy has ever asked for tip) when he thought he was done I told him he didn't do back yard and he then started getting upset with me and kept asking if I was sure I paid for it, I said yes he needed to look on the paperwork he should have. . He then told me when he was be fully done his tip just went up to $40. I called about if they should be demanding tips and no answer.
I had a friend call and put me through 3 way call and that is how I finally got through to this lady who said its not how they run things and she would have a manager come by right away. over an hour goes by with no manager yet, my 10 yr old is home for school lunch. I work from home and was at my computer when my daughter was saying her goodbyes. I hear the gate bell ring (for when someone opens or closes it) and I look at camera. I see the guy pull his penis out and start peeing in the corner of my yard (right next to my gate) I yell at my daughter not to go yet, so I run to the door wait a minute then I peek out. I then allow my daughter to go but tell the guy who is now standing in my back yard that it is unexceptionable to be peeing in my yard, all over my tools and fence and that now I am livid. He stares at me with a blank expression and just says ok and goes about his work.
While I wait for manager to come, the bells rings and its the worker guy asking for his tip. I tell him I am no longer talking to him and not to ring my door again and that if he wants a tip he needs to wait for his manager, where worker guy then says "oh dont worry about the tip, Im sorry" and walks away.
I wait for the manager that finally shows up and the whole time Im telling him about this guy, what he has demanded and what he has done to my tools... the manager not once says hes sorry and only makes excuses up for the guy (...this is only one of his excuses...like "oh your yard is big and very hard to do so he probably wants more for his work, your yard is very large and we are not charging you the right price" so I say to him, well this isnt our first rodeo with you guys if you feel your not charging enough you should have charged me the right price, this issue NOT about billing its about this guys attitude, demands and that he peed all over my garden tools and my 10 yr old daughter almost caught him) . manager then asks where he peed so I show him and then and only then he says "ok, yes this is unexceptionable and Im sorry, Ill go talk to him about it now" .
Sorry but this manager has no sense of how manager work is handled.
after calming down I called the company number and of course no answer once again. I have since tried 3 times with no answer or call back.
I think they can take my number off for next years services. I am beyond mad and disappointed in the way this worker guy talked to me, manager "handled" it and the lack of answering calls or calling back.
