Canadian Reliable Van Lines Reviews (%countItem)

Here is my experience:
I booked my moving day with these people over a week before the actual moving date of September 30th - I was moving out of a roommate living situation and needed to be out by the last day of the month as agreed upon, I took the day off of work so I could meet the movers at 3:00 PM - at that time - no one showed up, when I called the office Matthew who does all the bookings, passed the phone to another *** woman by the name of Sarah who then said the movers wouldn't be there until 7PM. Due to the fact I was putting this stuff into storage, and the storage gate closed at 10PM this move then turned into a two day move. They told me they would have to keep my stuff on a truck - for the night - said that it may possibly be moved off of the truck and then back on in the morning! - so I was to meet them at 7:00 AM at the storage location, they didn't show up - after calling both the head office and the mover - I sat waiting until 7:15 for them to call me and tell me they were leaving the head office location in Mississauga.

They then said the person who booked the move must come with a credit card. Which then had another person have to stop their day, and come physically to the moving location - to take an imprint. They offered no discount and were expensive.

Service date: Sept 23, 2020

First, I'm not sure why I didn't look for reviews prior to booking, my bad.

The "relocation consultant", Matt, seemed pleasant and reasonably competent. Estimates were provided based on a flat 250$ van cost and a 95$/hr two man cost starting when they arrived at the pickup spot and ending when the truck (16feet) is unloaded.

Our move was split in two parts. First move in July was ok. On time arrival and relatively speedy movers. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't perfect, but compared to the gong show of today it was amazing.

"Today's" move started with the booking more than two weeks ago. All good until yesterday when I was called and asked if I could move on Friday instead. I said no. The rep (Matt I assume) Called back and confirmed 9-10 arrival.

10 came and went. My first call to the office and the somewhat grouchy lady said that dispatch told her they'd be there at 11 and there are no discounts for tardiness. 11 came and went With no truck (see the trend here?). My second call to the office and I was told another hour. Another hour and the driver called and said 30 mins.

They arrived at 12.45. Three plus hours late. The movers themselves were "ok". Little English. I don't have an issue with them, but with the hostage policy of the owners / office staff and the routine *** about when your movers will arrive. Honestly don't know why they didn't just give me a 12-1 window and why I didn't get a preemptive call when their "time" wasn't going to be met.

The movers refuse to unload the truck until you pay an "estimated" total charge for the move (less the $200 deposit you made on booking). I didn't agree with the estimated unload time and it was reduced to a more reasonable estimate. Too high still but better.

We booked a move with these people based solely on the fact that their were well priced and they offered a firm delivery date for a move from Ontario to Nova Scotia.
Pick up went smoothly - they showed up and loaded all of our stuff. We reviewed paperwork which showed the firm delivery date of Sept 1 in Halifax NS.
On August 31 I called to confirm delivery the following day to our son - he was moving out for University and required to quarantine for 14 days upon arrival so having his belongings was important.
We were told the truck broke down. When my husband asked for some resolution, Steve got nasty and swore at my husband - I decided to call back but was faced with more of the same. Mean, Angry Steve - he told me we only booked one move so he didn't need to speak to me as he had spoken to my husband.
I called later and spoke to someone else - was told the truck would be leaving on Sept 3rd - I called Sept 3 to confirm and Matthew told me it was being loaded.....delivery Monday or Tuesday. It was a long weekend - which I pointed out - But Matthew assured me they would deliver on the Monday. I knew he was telling me what I needed to hear and that the delivery wouldn't happen.
When I called the following Tuesday (Sept 8th) I was told that there was no room on the truck for our stuff - it was still in Mississauga. Soonest delivery date was Sept 21st - 20 days later than I had paid for.....and they had already charged our *** on Sept 1st for the full balance of the move - which was about 25% higher than the rate that we were quoted.
We took matters in to our own hands and showed up the next morning with our own truck and driver - Alyssa wanted us to sign paperwork as soon as we arrived - I insisted that we see our stuff first - and questioned why we had to sign anything when they had already charged us for 100% of the service which they didn't provide.
Well - they found our stuff and started loading our truck.....when my husband didn't want to sign the *** slip the men immediately were told to stop moving our things.....they literally dropped our stuff on the spot and walked away.
A new slip was produced and signed by my husband with a note saying "Amount to Credit" seen as the service was not provided - the men started loading again.
I asked Alyssa for a letter stating that we would receive a credit since they didn't do what they were supposed to do......She did provide me the letter but the credit didn't come through by end of day as stated.
I called the next morning and told them I would called every hour on the hour until we got our money back.
Yesterday we finally saw the credit go through our *** card - a credit for about 30% of the total cost. It doesn't even come close to resolving this issue.
***. They have a warehouse full of people's furniture - some of which has been there for over 6 months. ***
***. These people were basically had us hostage - they had our belongings and they had our money and there was little we could do. This just shouldn't be permitted to happen.
The next time I meet a Police Office I plan to tell them this story - I...Innocent people are being taken advantage of and treated so poorly.

***.
To there employees - not sure how you live with yourselves.

+1

Last friday was our scheduled moving day and we got some surprises.
The company contracted by Reliable Van Lines didn't comply with what with previously talked about.
We tried to call the head office several times but we never got an answer.
The third party company said they spoke to Reliable Van Lines... So, at that point we didn't know if he was lying or they were avoiding our calls.

First of all, big lack of customer service; The guy from the third party company was ***, not polite for a second, not professional, didn't know what he was doing, couldn't give me any additional informations and more.
He wanted to charged us 200$ for our one set of stairs. A price that wasn't discuss before.
We live in a small 3 story building that has large staircase to move around and from there it's a short walk to our appartement.
He said he had to repack everything (backpacks, bed frame etc, who was already wrapped at its maximum). Like BACKPACKS REALLY? We even left extra blankets and wrapping plastic. We have pictures to prove our good packing and to be honest we believe he simply wanted to make extra money on
our back and we are far from being happy.

After several conversation with him, asking him to give us an estimate and not providing any, we asked him to leave.
He spoked to us like we were stupid, like it was our fault. (This is just the beginning.)

When Reliable Van Lines and I spoke, it was never mentioned that they were hiring another moving company to do the job.
It was never mentioned there's gonna be an extra fee for one set of stairs.
It was never mentioned a bed frame needed to be in a box? Funny enough I was told it was totally fine just being wrapped up with plastic wrapping. Anyway, we discuss on how we packed prior and they said it was find.
Well guess what everyone? It definitely wasn't. (Keep reading, the story gets better and better.)

All of this wasn't about money at all.
If the guy from the third party explained himself correctly, have been polite and gave us a good customer service, I wouldn't be writing this at the moment.
But again, he didn't deliver AT ALL.

After all this, we kept on calling the head company: Reliable Van Lines. We sent emails, no replies. We finally managed to contact Matthew (the sale's guy), he said
to call back during the week to speak with Steve. So we did.

With Steve it was a for sure « No you're not getting your money back . ». He got all work up and of course my partner was too. We were so frustrated with how everything went. We wanted our money back but Steve wouldn't want to corporate. Him and my partner got into what I believe to be some reasonable arguments on our ends but still we were the bad guys. Steve hang up. I then called back. He was already really furious with the previous conversation (same on our end), but all I wanted is to explained exactly everything that happened on the suppose day of the move. While I was explaining, he put me on speaker phone, started on purpose another conversation with a colleague, talking badly about us for me to hear. I confronted him saying: « Hello, I'm trying to have a serious conversation with you? How disrespectful *** this is? » He said he did it on purpose. He had something to say to everything I was mentioning. Again, like it was our fault and the movers were angels. He then explained to me that they are not obligated to give us any information about the fact that were hiring other moving companies to do the job. He also said that they're not reachable during long week-ends (Well, why are they making bookings then? Why their third party company said to us that they just previously talked to them? None sense right?). He then started to explain to me what a Stat Holiday is. Like I was born yesterday! Then, he was explaining how his company works by hiring third party companies. « I'm not stupid, I know what it means, I'm just saying it was never mentioned and written on our contract. » ***. ». At that point, having him saying all that and not wanting to corporate, even if we kept on trying, we knew he wouldn't want to reimburse us at all. We then finish the conversation and FOR NOW, it's the end of it. We know we aren't exaggerating. We have many witnesses that can prove the whole stories. This fight is just the beginning.

Company was reserved for 01/29/20.Was told that my delivery would be between 2-7 days. Company to arrive between 4-7pm. Arrived at 9:15pm. Left close to 1am. Asked if they were going straight to NS after pickup. Was told that my stuff would be going to Mississauga first then to NS. Called to get an update on shipment on 02/03/20. I had to ensure someone would be available to receive my shipment in NS. I was then informed that my shipment would not be departing until 02/29/20. I had been told a week at most for its arrival. I then asked if a total weight was available for my shipment. I was transferred to the accountant. She informed me that she had not yet received paperwork on my shipment. I decided to look for another residence than the one indicated on contract. Signed lease on 02/09/20. I immediately called to leave a message for reliable movers that I wanted to change the destination address. I wanted verify they had received my message. I called 02/10/20 to speak with a person. I was then informed that my shipment was now leaving 02/12/20. The man I spoke with was very understanding and said that he would mark the new address and change the shipping to the second shipment at the end of the month (the original date of 02/29/20). I thanked him very much and asked again if there was a total weight for my shipment. Was transferred to the same accountant. Was told the total weight and sent an invoice immediately. She was very helpful. My invoice total was double what I was expecting. I was told on the phone during initial phone call that the first 1000 lbs would be 650.00 and anything above that amount would be .45 cents per pound. The invoice I had just receive indicated that I was charged .45 cents per pound for the total weight of my shipment. The invoice also indicated that my credit card was processed on 02/07/20 for the total amount. I called the accountant back and asked why my card was charged before I received my invoice. I spoke with her about my experiences and she asked me to contact the manager February 11, 2020. I called, asked to speak with the manager about my concerns. I was placed on hold and a man came on the phone. He asked me what I wanted. I started to explain why I was upset and he told me that he didn't understand what the problem was. He indicated that I wouldn't be getting my apartment keys until March 1, 2020 so I benefited from not having my items delivered when I originally was told. I explained that my plans had just changed yesterday based on the fact that my shipment would not arrive until the end of the month. I then tried to discuss why my credit card was charged before I received an invoice. He became belligerent and told me he didn't see the relevance of my complaint that "I had lost him at me benefiting from the delayed shipping date." I asked him to please not raise his voice at me and asked if there was someone else I could speak with. He told me he was hanging up on me. He said that the only thing he would take responsibility for was that his men were late for pick up.I repeated my ? he said "we sent you an invoice" I said yes but, I had Not received my invoice prior to my card being charged. He then told me he could prove that they had sent an invoice. I asked him to please provide proof. He then told me that I was not getting a discount on my move and that my complaints were irrelevant. I told him that I did not appreciate the way he was speaking to me. I asked if this was a private moving company or an off-shoot of a larger company and he informed me it was private. He then said he didn't see a problem...that I owed them money and they charged me.They could refund me and I could use another method. He informed me that this call was being recorded and that my complaints were unfounded, inconsiderate, disrespectful and he didn't care if I made a complaint. I wanted to discuss that the arrival address was less km than org. And if that would affect total. He hung up on me.

Desired Outcome

I would like an apology for the way the "manager" spoke to me. I would like an adjustment on my bill for the inaccurate billing information and the destination address being less kilometers. I would also like to ensure that the company does not charge an account that has not even been notified with an invoice of total charges. Especially when several attempts to retrieve this information occurred. I want to make sure that my shipment does actually arrive for March 1, 2020 and that my items are not damaged in any way. I am very concerned that my items will be damaged as a result of my complaint and interaction with this manager. I want the company to understand that they cannot treat their clientele the way I was treated and spoken to.

. They are so read and impossible to deal with. I was told my belongings would arrive 2-3 weeks after pick up for a provincial move,it has now been over 6 weeks and I have not heard from them. Each time I call they tell me a new date which comes and goes with no sign of anything. I will be reporting them to the Revdex.com.

We've schedule a move with Canadian Reliable Van Lines from Winnipeg, MB to Kanata (Ottawa, ON) on Dec 6th 2019. *** was the one that handled all the negociation on their end. We've payed $200 CAD for the security deposit at the same date. The pickup was scheduled for Dec 28th. We were supposed to receive a call from their drivers on the day before. We've received no such call and kept calling them on Dec 28th without any luck on the time for our pickup. Until at 5pm they called and said that the driver was going to arrive at 7pm. Around 8pm on Dec 28th their drivers arrived to pick up our stuff and left at around 9pm. They said that it would take around 2 to 3 weeks for our shipment to arrive in Ottawa. After moving to Ottawa and renting a house, we've called and emailed them on Jan 6th, Jan 18th, Jan 28th and Feb 8th and they kept delaying/postponing the delivery of our move. On our last call the promised me that the move would arrive in Ottawa on Feb 8th, but so far we've received no confirmation of this and we don't have any ETAs for when our stuff will be delivered. All we want is for our move with personal items and items of sentimental value to be delivered to us according to the agreement. We are having serious issues and unnecessary costs without it.

Desired Outcome

All we want is for our stuff to be delivered as soon as possible according to the agreement.

I have made a deposit for a move I've since had to cancel. Provided over a month cancellation, I have already paid a deposit and now on many occasions have attempted to contact those responsible for my refund with no response.
*** is the gentleman I have been dealing with an since requesting my return of deposit he refuses to answer any emails or telephone communications. I would like my deposit paid back promptly, $200 returned in full.

Desired Outcome

I am asking the company to fully honour my refund of deposit promptly and have better customer service and response times.

Doubled in price when they came to get the items, ( said we were not packed). Clamped they were asked to move everything which they were NOT. They were advised to leave the basement alone . told me I have too much time on my hands and don't have a full time job because I called to complain they were taking advantage of my senior mother. Refused to return the security deposit even tho they did not provide services

I went with them because they were the same price as *** and I didn't have to do the lifting. I didn't have much furniture so I wasn't worried about about going over 2000 lbs. for 2000 lbs the price would be $1150. I had 2 bedroom sets 4 sets of mattresses boxes and totes 1 treadmill. Now they tell me my furniture weights 4700 lbs and the price now is $2868.60. I don't have that kind of money. ***. My only available money was $1150-$1500. They want the money in 1 payment or they said they will keep trying to take it out of my credit card on file. I asked them to make arrangements I even told them to bring back my furniture so I can go wirh *** cause I can't afford this. ***. Now I will be moving and I won't have any furniture until I can pay. I called the police they told me to. Ring them to small claims court. It would take me months to pay this. I don't know what else I can do. They charged me for things I never authorized. And I only authorized the deposit of $200. Not for them to withdrawal the full amount. And I definitely never told them to keep my cc on file. ***. I just don't have the money they are asking for and I don't understand why they charged me so much.. I didn't have any fridge or stove, no washer no dryer, to dinning table no hutch no couch no wall unit... I didn't have much in the way of furniture. What am I supposed to do. My kids will start school with no clothes or no belongings because it's all on the truck. If there gonna pull this *** wirh people maybe they should do a check to make sure these people have the money. I don't have an extra $2800. I won't ever.. ***. Now I have to worry about them messing up my bank account cause they somehow think they are authorized to withdraw out of my bank. I need my furniture. I only went with them because they were the same price as ***. I only had 2 rooms. They said for 2000 lbs it would be $1150. And in the event it would be more I figured maybe $1500 if anything. I've been trying to contact them To see what I can do but they don't really reply to my messages only to tell me to pay or they will debit my account. How is this legal? I have always been a stay at home mother with limited funds. They just assume I have no choice to pay whatever price they asked. I even told him on the phone that $1150 was all I can afford and I told him I will go with them cause they are the same price as ***. His name was

Desired Outcome

It is to late for them to return my furniture to me as I am leaving for BC in 5 days. I would like to pay something more reasonable, something I can afford, to come to some kind of arrangement. But the bill is to high. I cannot take months to pay this and have no furniture in the meantime. I want my furniture, I want a revised bill that's more reasonable. I want a resolution to this problem.

I booked my move no problem with this company . Upon picking up items our first warning something was bad about this company was the movers showed up with showing no effort. Also they immediately started asking for more money for things that were never mentioned to us when we booked our move. Our original call with customer service told us the movers would pack up all breakable mirrors and tvs no extra charge. We also told them the pick up location was apartment building and the hallway is long. Now when movers showed up they told us our hallway to long its going to be extra ,then told us the packing of mirrors and tvs were extra, also then saif your stuff will be moved about 4 times before its getting to your location due to long distance move and they reccomend couch covers and mattress covers at 20 dollars each. We said its ok we dont need that stuff the mover told us if you refuse then your stuff will be damaged we dont handle stuff carefully if it is not covered so we felt forced to get the covers for couchs and mattress. We told him we would discuss with company about the long hallway charge and told movers it was included for packing mirrors and tvs they eventually packed all that. After it was all in truck I was abruptly told sign here nothing was explained on contract nor was I given any time to read it he insisted its normal contract no need to read I felt forced to sign he was getting annoyed. After that we left on our journey to our new place 12 hours away from where we moved. Fast forward to the next day we get a call from them stating our stuff would be arriving that day and bill would arrive in email and then here comes the problems it MUST be paid before driver comes . When we got the bill its was over 1000 dollars more than quoted. We called company and said whats going on we got a *** man from accounting department who said this is your bill you need to pay we asked for more proof as to the charges. The weigh scale ticket they sent us to show weight of truck was dated 6 days before our move and no proof what truck it was or if truck was weighed completely empty . Then second weigh scale ticket showed date of our move and apparent weight of our items but again no proof it was our truck or our items being weighed. We tried to explain all concerns to man on phone he was *** getting more angry. He said you just have to trust us this is a correct and this is your bill . He also said if you dont pay then you wont get your items. We kept trying to explain to him we would pay the original bill compeltly and would like to talk to a person in charge about the extra charges and weight charges. He refused and said how about if I just ask my driver to drop stuff in the driveway of first pick up location and you can get someone else to come get it and move it to where you are . Keep in mind we are moved 12 hours away we wouldnt be able to go save our stuff from theft if its dropped in pick up location. The guy said hes in charge and if he doesnt wanna deal with us he wont. We tried to reason with him he told us our other solution is to drive to nearest weigh scale and because we are in small town up north nearest one is 5 hours drive away so he wants us to drive 5 hours away empty the whole moving truck by ourselves into a uhaul truck and then weigh their empty truck and then load all our stuff back on and weigh it loaded then drive 5 hours back to new place and have movers meet us here and unload truck. That whole idea was obviously not going to work for us . So we felt scared and forced to pay these people or lose our stuff. We were told to pay by credit card we have to print a form out and photocopy front and back of credit card and drivers licence front and back of person with credit card we did all that and paid. I have more to add but out of room on this page sidenote contract stated if more than 16 km away from weigh scale theres different way to calculate fees but he refused to do

Desired Outcome

Since we found in contract if your more than 16km from public weigh scale the calculation is different and we did that calculation and its at the orginal price we expected we want a refund. Also the trjck was never empty they have lots of their own equipment and items that add weight they refuse to acknowledge that and say trucks are empty.

Booking/Contract ***.
***, the salesman with whom I booked *** move advised that when the items were to be picked up in Montreal 22 Jun it would take 2-3 weeks to arrive in Kelowna. After numerous calls to dispatch asking status of shipment, and hearing it was in a warehouse in Toronto waiting for a lift to BC, it arrived with little warning 18 August 2 months later from a third party company from Richmond BC. On occasion when I called, the dispatcher was abrupt and rude. When *** items were offloaded at Kelowna, I was present and took inventory and noted on all paperwork that the items listed in the file attached were missing. I then contacted accounting *** immediately thereafter and sent her a video and pictures of items prior to shipment as supporting documentation to the paperwork that listed them. I was advised that the warehouse supervisor was busy on the road and it would take a couple weeks to search the warehouses to make sure items were not there. It took a month of emails and follow-up calls to finally get Canadian Reliable Van Lines to advise items were not found and on 17 Sept I was forwarded a claim form to complete by email from ***. I sent the form back as per attached on 19 Sept. When I received no acknowledgement she had received it I called and was told it would be sent to their insurance company and would take another 4-6 weeks before they responded - a timeframe I find unacceptably long given it was a small and straight forward claim. I have waited over 7 weeks - tried to contact the company *** in accounting by email this week and have received no response and therefore am now referring my issue to Revdex.com to complain of the length of time it has taken to resolve payment for lost items incurred during a move I paid for of *** furniture and effects. For a move that started 22 June and it is now 8 Nov - I wish the value of $518.61 of items lost by Canadian Reliable Van lines to be refunded to me as soon as possible.

Desired Outcome

I wish to be refunded asap for the cost to replace the items listed in the attachment for a total of $518.61 that were lost by Cdn Reliable Van Lines (CRVL) in the move of my *** effects from Montreal to Kelowna that were picked up on 22 June 2019 and not delivered with the rest of his effects two months later on 18 August 2019.

I was moving from Hamilton to Vancouver and kind of got stuck last minute because of *** doubling the price so I started looking for movers. I was contacted by Matthew who at first was very helpful that was until they had my deposit. I originally arranged for pick up in the morning a day before the move I was told it been pushed to 3pm. I had to leave so I arranged for family to be there to have the truck loaded at 4pm still no show. So my mother reached out to the company where they *** hung up on her. My friend called back and they had been delayed now until 6-7pm. They finally picked up my stuff a few days later I received a bill for double what I was quoted at this point I felt backed into a corner because they had my belongings so I just paid. I was told 2-3 weeks delivery and the day before it would of been 3 weeks I contacted the company and they told me there was a week delay my stuff had not made it to Vancouver yet. At this point due to the lack of professionalism, communication and I had paid in full I was very agitated and said I be reporting them to the Revdex.com if my stuff was not delivered by the date. Magically an hour later I received a call from there partner company in Vancouver that my stuff was schedule to be delivered the next day at 1pm. ***. They may sell you a dream with a low quote but you're definitely better off going with a well known company that may charge more but I can guarantee you will probably pay the same as you would pay this unreliable moving company.

They moved my home from Edmonton to Toronto and damaged a ton of boxes as well as putting tape all over my furniture so that I had to either scrape it off glass or ripped paint off wooden items that they damaged.
On top of that, boxes were missing and they never would return phone calls or emails about that.

This company transported our living stuff from Winnipeg to Mississauga. They were supposed to pick up on June 24th and deliver on 4th of July. Their driver called us two times and delayed the pick up till 28th of June and guaranteed that the delivery date will not be affected. They delayed 29 days in delivery and in different times during that period they said that they will compensate the delay. When they finally delivered our stuff a treadmill and one valuable picture was missing, one valuable picture that they had wrapped at the pick up time was broken. The driver told us that they will compensate the broken item and deliver the missing treadmill and the picture. They delivered the treadmill after a week follow up, but it is in a bad shape with lots of scratches on it.I called them several times and asked for *** who told me about compensation ***, but he refused to answer my phone calls. I also emailed them about all these, with no response. They charged me in full price of the invoice that they issued.Today someone else answered the phone and said that they will not compensate the delay, and I have to submit claims for the rest. As it has been a while that they just lie to me on almost every thing, ***
Product_Or_Service: Shipping goods

Desired Outcome

Other (requires explanation) Refund $300 for all above issues.

I booked with ***.on May 30th and did pay a deposit of $ 200 same date.
*** told me that I will receive a call one day before for the pick-up time and delivery 2 weeks later.
On May 30th, *** 3rd party located in Winnipeg called me saying he will not be able to do it anymore because he only has one truck and there is another moving of (10,000 lbs) who is priority.
Immediately, I called *** for a solution because my lease ending that day and we have mentioned that to *** who confirmed that the pick-up will be done that day and we did not need to worry. We *** attempted to call *** several times with no answer. We left several voicemail still no answer after 3 hours. I called Canadian reliable Van Lines Company and have reached one of their agent who was very *** and said it's impossible to do it today, if you are not happy I can cancel everything with half refund.

On May 31st, *** sends two movers who have no experience on how to move furniture. They were rushing everything. They did not have moving tool like Loop Handle Steel Hand Truck and were all wearing sandals. They broke the dresser foot board, and none of our furniture and stuffs were padded, wrapped and tagged for inventory As mentioned in the quote.
All this happened during the pickup.
Two weeks after the pickup date, I called Canadian Reliable Van Lines company to find out when they were going to deliver my stuff, as *** mentioned previously that it took two weeks to deliver from Manitoba to Gatineau. In our great surprise, *** dispatcher said our stuff is in Saskatchewan and it should come soon and he would call me back as soon as possible. He never called me back, I had to call every day and every time I have no definite answer to talk to different agent who provided different delivery day. I was obliged to sublet my LEASE. I could not live in a non-furnished apartment with my family and new born. I had to first rent a hotel and then a furnished condo.

I called *** again in July, and he told me this time that my stuff furniture etc. are in MONTREAL and this time it will be delivered at the end of July which never happened.
August 3rd, two months later they finally called to deliver my stuff in my storage.
A lot of my furniture has been scratched and broken, not to mention those that have disappeared. At the end of the delivery, one of the Canada reliable Van Lines movers gave me papers to sign in the rush. What I absolutely refused, mentioning that I cannot sign something without reading it first, I then took pictures and handed him back the paper.

Once I arrived home, I realized that the papers he wanted me to sign, is the moving company terms and conditions, *** never send it before we was not able to fully read it because there is a bill stapling in the middle ***
And stipulate that 90% of my furniture were scratched, soiled, torn, worn as condition at origin. That was totally wrong. I have pictures of all my furniture before the pickup and also photos during the pickup. Not to mention any of my furniture was wrapped and protected again dust, soil etc...

We want a total refund of this move and compensation for the lost furniture, the broken furniture and missing items, compensation for late pick up and delivery.

Desired Outcome

We want a total refund of this move and compensation for the lost furniture, the broken furniture and missing items, compensation for late pick up and delivery.

Before we booked with him he was professional, responding properly to our concerns, calling and sending emails several time.
As soon he gets the deposit he started ignoring emails and calls.
I booked for May 30th, 1 day before the 3rd party called saying they can't do it tomorrow MAYBE the next day. I called to complain that, *** and the agent I spoke with was Extremely *** and ***, they finally pick up my stuff May 31st, the movers had NO EXPERIENCE about moving one of them show up with sandals he broke my dresser and offer me 20$
NONE OF MY FURNITURES HAS BEEN WRAPPED AND PADDED like the agreement said.

When we arrive at ***, I start calling every day but no one in this company was able to give me a prompt answer about the delivery.
We finally sublet our lease and took a furnished place, because we had any idea when they'll delivery our stuff.

The best of the best is when I call last week *** told me my stuff is in storage in MONTREAL. Meaning, they pass all the way to my city and dropped it there.
They delivery 8 WEEKS, 2 MONTHS LATER, with a lot of DAMAGES and MISSED items. The quote of 750$ ending up being 1376$ + storage I paid+ a new company a have to pay to delivery in my new address.

My move with *** was a *** and cost me LOT OF MONEYS

Desired Outcome

1- To finish the job they start and I pay for 2- A refund: for the missing items the dresser they broke 3- Compensation for the late delivery - late pick up And all the money I lost due to this moving Paying a furnished place to stay and a storage

Dates:
- deposit paid: July 9
- pick-up (chosen by company): July 24
- re-scheduled by company: July 27
- delivery due to reach: Aug 1 (approx)

Situation:
- delivery did not reach Aug 1
- when contacted by phone, it was advised that delivery has not yet occurred in the 1st place
- delivery is now set to depart Aug 4
- delivery is now expected to reach Aug 7-10 (approx)

Issues are:
1) lack of professionalism - this is demonstrated by the poor handling of the administrative/operational work ***
2) failure to communicate - this has started once deposit was paid. Company was then not responsive to emails. additionally, failure to communicate delays when it occurred - I only knew about the delay the day I was expecting the delivery.
3) SIGNIFICANTLY POOR customer service - the representative *** something like that was incredibly ***. No empathy to customer's concern. Not apologetical, he advised that there is nothing that could be done suck it up was his response. As well as, when advised that urgent paperwork was necessary and might have to travel back to the location of my belongings to pick up the necessary, I was told not my problem. I called back again to confirm when a manager would be in, I was told why do you keep calling. When asked if more accurate details could be provided as I will be left stranded without clothing and travel documents travelling this upcoming August 5, I was advised to simply pay it up of your own pocket, your problem. When told that I will submit a complaint Revdex.com/Ontario consumer protection, I was told go for it.
*** a *** of contract - full payment was already made July 31 as instructed to pay prior to arrival of delivery. The company was unable to meet their task assigned *** for late delivery full refund is requested if possible as I'm already losing the cost of my ticket to *** UK
5) estimated dates were provided by ***. If they were strict deadlines that would be almost impossible for them to meet which they weren't able to, ***
6) the company nor its employees have demonstrated trust or reliability. I am seriously concerned on my belongings and most importantly my travel documents.

the company is not reliable as the name states.
trust is not demonstrated by any representative, which opposes their motto.
The company is definitely not the most reliable moving company is Canada - that is a false advertising.
The representative did not put people first as they claim on their website.
The company definitely did not make this move stress-free. in fact it increased significantly.

Desired Outcome

Major refund, if not full refund - *** PROMPT COMMUNICATION/UPDATES. this is also to offset my lost ticket. Contacted by a manager who could tackle answers and issues professionally. One that knows how to maintain proper client relationships. Apology if possible from *** representative his name is ***.

I was in search of a moving company that would be able to relocate our furniture from Saskatchewan to New Brunswick and came across Canadian Reliable Van Lines. I was contacted by *** after I submitted a request for a quote. I was told by *** that transit time from pickup to drop off was 14 days and he had assured me that my items would be picked up between May 13-15 and would be delivered within 14 days. He had given me a quote based on my home size and furniture weight of $2650 plus taxes. I paid a $200 deposit to secure my spot on the truck. I decided to go with this company based on the dates he had given me for pickup as I was to be out of my home by May 18th. I was to be contacted by the driver 24 hours prior to pickup. Those dates came and when I didn't hear anything by May 15th I called and was directed to the manager, ***. I spoke with ***, explained my situation and frustration at the fact that I only had 3 days left before I had to be out of my home. I also explained to him that I had picked this company based on the quick 14 day delivery as I was to be moved into my new home by June 1st. He assured me that from then on my move would be top priority and he would get someone there ASAP and on top of that, would be on the next outgoing truck to New Brunswick and would be delivered between May 27th-May 29th. The movers called me May 17th and said they would be arriving on May 18th. They came, loaded my belongings with no issue. I received an invoice on May 25th which was much more than quoted based on the weight of my move, with a charge of a 3% processing fee because I was paying by credit card which was never disclosed to me when I spoke with *** at the beginning. Since the 25th was a Saturday I waited until May 27th, called and spoke with the accountant that had made up the invoice, explained that there was no mention of a "processing fee" with *** and asked for it to be waived. She granted my request, and then for peace of mind I asked when the truck would be arriving in New Brunswick. She told me the truck driver was in New Brunswick and that she would get in contact with the driver and would call me back to give me a specific time/day my things would be arriving. Thinking that everything was running on time, I decided to pay the full invoice of $3949.20 over the phone. I never received a call back and when I called back I spoke with *** and asked if he could tell me when the driver would be arriving. He told me that my things were still in Ontario and that he couldn't tell me when they would be arriving. I explained to him what the accountant had told me, he shrugged it off and said that my things wouldn't be arriving and that the earliest delivery would be on June 6th. I began to get frustrated, as did he and he *** me to go to his office and *** him. I informed him that I would be in contact with *** the next day to complain about being ***, he told me he didn't care and to tell *** I was talking to ***. I called *** the next day and explained what had happened. He was extremely *** as well, shrugged off my complaint and told me the next truck going to New Brunswick was between June 10-14th, couldn't tell me if my things were going to be on the truck and hung up on me. Those dates came and still heard nothing. I called back on June 17th and spoke with another person who I had not spoken with yet and asked when my furniture would be arriving as I had now been waiting a month! They said the next truck going would be between June 17th-21st. I finally received a call on June 20th and was finally delivered on June 21st. The movers came, could not get down my driveway with their truck/trailer and told me they would have to rent a u-haul on my expense to bring me my furniture or I wouldn't get it. I was made pay the $345 for the u-haul as ransom. Upon delivery, my snowblower was missing, multiple items completely damaged.

Desired Outcome

I want my snowblower delivered and to be reimbursed for all my damaged items. I was told by *** when first speaking with him not to take insurance out as I didn't have anything of high value. I made a claim with this company on June 24th and listed all my damaged and missing items. I have tried to contact them multiple times with no response. It is now July 24th and I have heard nothing.
