Canadian Tire (Albert St. N. Regina) Reviews (%countItem)

I am complaining about the wrong tires they put in my car and the dent and scratched while it is in their service garage.
Last sept 26 I ordered 4 set of ***tires and put up a full deposit of $2056.84. After a week they called me and my tires are ready to install so I went there and they did install them. When I got home I've noticed they put the wrong tires not the one I order and paid for. They put smaller tires ( ***) So called them and told me that the mechanic made a mistake. They order the tires again, after a week I got a call from them that the tires are ready, I dropped my car around 10am(October 05) I was told it' gonna be ready before 6pm. It's already 9pm and nobody phone me so I drove by to check my car, I saw it parked inside but the store is already closed. The next morning still I haven't heard from them so I decided to go and check. I was disappointed that my car parked outside and not fixed yet and the worst thing happened was there is a dent and scratched on the side passengers door. The manager told me that it is not there responsibility what happened to my car. I called the main office and the guy told me to get an estimate job repair and so I did and sent it to them. The main office phoned me and according to the service Manager upon watching the video they didn't see anything from the video. My car was in their possession for 2 days and this incident could happened in the service parking area.

Desired Outcome

I would like to be compensated for the days I don't have a car and to repair the damage on my car.

The vehicle was always parked in the shop at night and no other vehicles was around it, parked in a signal bay, have a video where it was parked. Could not get a video for out side that shows an blue vehicle parked beside it. As you see there is blue paint on the door and everything in the shop is red. It looks to me that a blue vehicle open there door into this vehicle. This vehicle also has lots of other scratches on it. I cannot say for sure when the damage happened but it was not in the shop for sure. We are not responsible for vehicle parked out in the parking lot. thanks

I am completely disagree to what they say that my car has other scratches except the one I am complaining. I took good care of my car. It is their responsibility while my car is in their possesion and was parked outside in service area. How can he so sure that there's no blue car parked beside it when he told me that they don't have a video monitor in the parking lot.

The offer was only half of the total estimated cost of repair but we are so grateful that they are willing to give us $600. Yes, we are accepting the offer and thank you Revdex.com for the help.

Canadian tire is charging me twice for the same repair job (same problem ) in under two/three weeks of repair work done on my car AC system.
I took my car for AC repair (07/21/2018)..
Told the canadian representative.. The AC stopped cooling that I suspect a leakage that they should pls run a test to comfirm ..I got called later at about 5pm to say test completed no leakage. He asked for ok to recharge the AC system with gas. I said ok if you comfirm no leakage.. later that day I picked up my car AC cooling.
Some TWO/three weeks later the AC STOPPED COOLING...I took the car back to canadian tire for check up ..I got a date for 14th August 2018. only this time they found a leakage ..
Now Canadian tire representative is asking me to pay another 216 canadian dollars after paying 215 canadian dollars for the same repair the first time and for same problem less than 30days of the first repair..

Desired Outcome

That Canadian tire and its representative should take responsibility for not doing it right the first time..AND Refund me 216 canadian dollars i was made to pay for the second repair.

On July 21, 2018 customer *** vehicle 2007 *** with 244779 Km was brought in for an air conditioning performance test, because air condition was not blowing cold air.
Your tech (***) performed a vacuum test which test for leaks in the system. Also, dye was added to the air condition system at this time to help in finding any leaks. No leaks where found, system did hold at a vacuum state for about 15 to 20 minutes. This is the standard procedure on how to test an air conditioning system. Since no leaks found tech advised service writer (***) to tell the customer that the system need to be evac and recharged with freon R134A. Once this was done the air condition system was blowing cold air. No parts at this time where replaced just need freon.

On August 14, 2018 customer returned to Canadian Tire with the problem that Air Condition was not blowing cold air (with 246716 Km) same vehicle as above. Tech (***) did another air conditioning performance test and found that an O- ring was leaking at the condenser, dye had leaked out and could see the dye on the outside of the connection. An estimate was made up and given to the service writer (***), *** explained to *** that this was a different problem and that last time it was in we could not find the leak, dye did not show up and did also hold vacuum last time it was in. The customer would have to pay for the O - ring, labor have it replaced and another evac and recharge, which he agreed to have it fixed. We did not charge for air conditioning performance test.

It is un-fortuned that the O- ring failed but we cannot predict when thing are going to fail. As the systems get older, O-ring become more dried out and unless you replace very thing in the system there is no guarantees that this may not happen again in the future.

I took my car for AC repair and specifically asked for a test to be done on the system because I suspected a leak in the system . As the gas will not just disappear out of the system.
My question is did the Canadian Tire do a proper test ?

If Canadian Tire is saying yes we did a good job.
How come we have same leak , same problem under 2/3 weeks of repair work.

I understand how the system work and with a leak .. it goes slowly until there is no more to leak out..
As this the only way to ascertain if Canadian Tire did a good. Timing of the second leak.

How long will take the gas to leak out of the car system and when it is a small leak...?

Why did Canadian Tire not charge me the cost of testing the second time ? its simple..
Canadian Tire know the truth. Canadian Tire failed in their part to do their job properly.

All leakage and cost for the second repair could have been avoided if Canadian Tire did a better test the first time.
Mine was the last car to be worked on that day .
How long did it take Canadian Tire to run the test and observe ....
