I moved times and this experience was by far the worstThe movers did not show up for pick up and finally came at 10PM the day afterWe received our belongings months after it was supposed to be deliveredDuring those three months we talked several times to all three members of the staff (customer service, manager, and dispatch) and they all lied to us that our belongings were on their wayI discovered that our belongings were in storage all that time blocks from our initial addressWhen they finally delivered our belongings, we had to bring them up to our 4th floor apt by ourselvesIt finally cost us way more than the cie asked because we had to live for three months in an empty apt

I highly recommend this moving companyThe movers were courteous, organized, friendly and hard-workingGeorge and Timothy were professional and coordinated the move very well and the job was done within the time estimatedAll our belongings arrived safely...and intactWe will definitely use them on our next move and recommend them to our colleagues and familyThanks CVL

To all of those people who have fallen victim to Canadian Van Lines...We hired Canadian Van Lines to moves us on September 4, The move did not occur on that day due to difficulties in arranging equipment...then the truck was in an accidentWe then received a call from the 'dispatch manager' who told us a truck would be leaving Vancouver on Tuesday, September 8, 2015, and arrive in [redacted] the same day to handle our move At that point we told them to cancel the move and we had to hire another company to move us I personally spoke to James who assured me the money, which we paid in full up front, would be completely reimbursed to us and gave us the specific date this would occur Of course the date came and went and money was never reimbursed to us After numerous phone calls and endless [redacted] and ridiculous excuses, a year later and we still have not been fully reimbursed, even though James and Stephen continue to assure us it will be paid I am done with the [redacted] and empty promises It is time Canadian Van Lines is held to task on their [redacted] behavior You CANNOT take someone's money, not fulfill your obligations and then keep the customers money! Good faith is not paying a portion of what is owed It is paying in FULL! I have many definitions of what that is referred to I see many who have experienced similar situations to what we have I would ask you to contact your local R.C.M.Pand file a complaint with them I have done this! It is imperative that you report Canadian Van Lines and what they are doing! They need to be stopped! Canadian Van Lines - please feel free to respond I welcome the opportunity to produce all the paper work, court judgments, e-mails and other information we have kept regarding this incident!

Canadian Van Lines was recommended by my parents who they had moved from Windsor to VernonMy move was only 1bed within Burnaby BCThe customer service held up very good communication with me throughout, the guys were polite, and very careful with my furniture and floors
The price was competitive with a teachers discountOverall I was very happy and I like my parents would recommend

Many thanks, to JamesStephen, Grant and the other crew members, my apologies for forgetting your names
I will use you guys again when I return to Texas and recommend to friends and family

TERRIBLE! Stay away from these guys!! Not to be confused with the Great Canadian Van Lines! Please, check out the claims made against them from the Revdex.com, and other reviews!! (I wish we had but we had a quick move!!!)
Our story with these guys is almost identical to most other Google reviews; I don't even know where to start! I'll try and keep it short but
They were supposed to show up on Thursday, June 30th at noonNope, the driver said there was a three ferry wait to get to Vancouver Island so he didn't want toSo we were promised another driver and truck later that afternoon....nope!!
Friday the 1st, at noon, the new owner was supposed to take possession of our old homeWell the two movers finally showed up at 10am....two hours before possession date....with A CUBE VAN! It was nowhere near big enough for our stuffMeanwhile, because there was no way they would have our stuff out of the house by noon, I moved every single box in our house into the garage so the new owner had somewhere to put her stuff
Another truck was promised that afternoon....nope again!
So half of our stuff had to stay in the garage of the people who had just bought our old house
To make an even longer story as short as possible, they didn't deliver our stuff until almost midnight on Sunday, after numerous phone calls and text messagesWe sacrificed our lawnmower to the new owners of our old place to just show them that we are actually not at fault for this messShe could have done anything she wanted, but chose to be decentShe could have legally kept our stuff if she wanted
They've wrecked a couple pieces of our furniture, and were days late, and we had no choice but to EMT the rest of our money in fear of losing everything, which was a very real threatThe manager actually said "Listen, I can tell my guys not to show up at all and give you your deposit back and you can figure it out yourselves!!!" We had NOTHING! No bed, utensils, pots/pans, plates, glasses.....and we just moved to a cabinAnd everyday we were promised our stuff, only to be disappointed and stressed out on whether we were even going to get anything back at all
And here's the best part
The manager responsible? An English guy named StevenExtremely juvenile, unprofessional, rude and very arrogantI will be facebooking our text messages and phone calls, and forwarding them to the Revdex.com as well; he has questioned my manhood, swore at me, called me several different swear names, and has specifically threatened me by nameHe has called myself, my wife and the new owners of our old house racists, and tried using the whole "black lives matter" against us as well(His movers are black.) He has continuously lied; over and over and over again, even during our arguments post-delivery
Please do your research, and choose a company that's been established as reputable!!

These guys are serial no-shows and do not honour their refund policy
Do not send an electronic deposit to themDo read their contract
Then look elsewhere

I dealt with them and everything went smooth. Picked up new furniture and TV from Toronto, shipped to [redacted] in 4 days. Nice driver, good customer service.

I highly recommend this moving company. The movers were courteous, organized, friendly and hard-working... I moved 23 times and this experience was by far the worst. The movers did not show up for pick up and finally came at 10PM the day after. During those three months we talked several times to all three members of the staff (customer service, manager, and dispatch) and they all lied to us that our belongings were on their way. I used Canadian Van Lines in June 2015 for a very short move (100 km) for 5 items and found the two fellows very capable, personable and polite. They took care with the items and the walls.

I hired Canadian Van Lines to move me from Victoria to Winnipeg, quite a large move as we did have time to downsize. They wrapped all furniture, including bed frames and mattresses. I was quite impressed when they gave me an inventory report indicating the condition of the items.
The office communicated very well with me throughout the move.
The delivery was on time I've unpacked and have found no broken or missing items.
In short I was very happy with them and have since recommended them to friends.
Thank you..

Hired CVL transport my contents from [redacted], Ontario to Surrey BC,. Paid a competitive price, they were in time, wrapped and packed well. Alot of stuff so there was two days of packing.
Delivered on the day promised, just finished unpacking, everything in tact ni damages,
Good service, keep it up .

My wife and I contracted Canadian Van Lines to move us from Toronto out to Kelowna in the spring of 2015. We are delighted to report that the entire process went smoothly. Our moving team showed up on time; they knew what they were doing; and they had the right truck and hand tools. The men worked in pairs when they needed to. They didn't scratch the walls or soil the carpets. They gave us a receipt. They gave us a window for delivery and then called 2 days in advance to line up a specific time for delivery. Then they showed up on time and did what they said they would.

My move was from Ontario to Alberta. I was quite stressed about it. But Canadian van lines took care of everything so well from start till the end. All my furniture and stuff came to me in perfect condition even the fragile items like mirrors. The delivery was also in the time frame they gave me when they came to pick my stuff.

Thanks for a stress free move. Good job. Highly recommended.

NEVER use this company! I recently moved from Ontario to [redacted]. Throughout the trip I received messages from the company stating that my belonging weighed significantly more than had been quoted on. We moved the equivalent of a one bedroom apartment and were quoted on 4000 lbs. While I anticipated the weight would be more than 4000 lbs because we included 2 sets of car tires and some bins with tools I was shocked to learn (somewhere mid trip) that our weight was 14,000 lbs. This message came with a request to send more money. I did so - trusting the company. I was not provide with the weigh scale tickets and in fact was told they were not available because the first contractor who made the pickup just drove over the scale without paying for a ticket. However, the second contractor who was doing the pickup in Toronto and delivering to me did send the weigh tickets. 'These tickets showed a weight of 8,100 lbs. vs. the 14,000 provided to me by Canadian Van Lines. I have no fault with the second company [redacted] - they were honest and ethical with us and in spite of being owed money by Canadian VanLines they were kind enough to deliver our belongings. I am owed $$,130 by Canadian VanLines and I don't think I will ever receive this. [redacted] DON'T EVER USE THEM. My contact James is a [redacted] and [redacted]. My moved costed $11,000 when should have been only approximately $6,000.
