Dear Sir or Madam:
I am writing in response to Complaint number [redacted] filed by [redacted]. While I am unfamiliar with [redacted], I am familiar with the...

circumstances detailed in the complaint and dispute their accuracy,
In early August 2015, a customer named [redacted] came into my shop with a white physicians coat and a dress to be altered. The bottom of the dress needed to be hemmed and shoulder straps on the dress needed to be shortened. The physicians coat needed extensive alterations. The alterations on the coat included: (a) taking material out of the torso of the jacket so that it better conformed to the shape of the customers torso; (b) removing material from the shoulders; and (c) removing material from the sleeves So that they would not appear to be baggy. I also attached a patch to an upper arm of the jacket. While the customer was in the shop, I wrote out the charges for each alteration on the back of my original laundry receipt and told her that the cost of the alterations would be $148.00. The customer did not question or complain about the amount at that time. I still have the receipt with the charges itemized.
On August 15, 2015, the customer picked up the jacket and the dress with her husband. At that time the husband paid for the alterations with a credit card and indicated that he was unhappy about the price of the alterations. The name on the credit card receipt is not [redacted] so I don’t believe that the complainant is my customers husband. The customer brought to my attention, a small ink stain on the jacket which I agreed to have removed free of charge.
Some time after August 15, 2015, my customer ([redacted]) came into my shop and said that she was very happy with the alterations.
Based on the circumstances. I was surprised to receive this complaint which contains a number of inaccuracies. First, my customers name was [redacted], not [redacted]. Second, the cost that was quoted and charged included alteration of a dress as well as the physicians coat. Third, I wrote out the cost for each alteration and showed it to my customer who approved the costs before I performed the alterations.
I will be happy to speak with you about this dispute if you have any further questions.
Sincerely,
Moon H

 Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
It is a lie.  She did NOT write out the total cost of the alteration charges at the time that I originally dropped off my clothing.  The charges where written down afterwards.  At no point in time was I ever told of the cost of alterations.  And I asked on several different occasions, with the answer being the same both times "I have to perform the work first before I know how much it is going to be"
The owner of the store called me on Friday Sept 11th asking that I come in a talk with her.  Thinking she was going to resolve this issue I went to her shop.  I asked her what she was going to do about resolving this issue. She stated that she was not going to do anything.  I asked her why she was not able to give me the cost of the alterations at the time that I dropped off my clothing.  She started to pull out receipts from current customers showing me that she doesn't give pricing prior to doing alterations because she doesn't know how much its going to cost.  She brought over a gentlemen's sport coat that she was currently altering and told me that it was going to cost $100 to complete.  I asked her at that time did she tell the customer how much it was going to cost when he dropped his clothing off.  She stated NO.  This is outrageous.
I absolutely disagree with this shop owners response to my complaint.
Another lie from the owner is that my husband did not pay for the alterations either, I did.
This is an untrustworthy business that needs to be addressed for her deceptive business practices and horrible customer service.
Regards,
