AVOID! Tried to book a hotel reservation 4 months in advance with Cancelon. When I entered my credit card information, they showed me a price of $279 for hotel plus $55 for taxes, final price $334. I clicked on the BUY button, and immediately got a receipt for $484. Called one minute after booking to say there was a problem, and they responded, "All Sales Final". Escalated to supervisor named Sam, and he tried to make it clear that I was shown the $484 price prior to accepting. Asked how he knew? Was he there? He said they never made mistakes. Stuck to the "All Sales Final" argument. These people are crooks. AVOID!

Buyer beware: be careful when booking with Cancelon. I booked a 4 night stay at a hotel in Madrid. The booking page stated nothing about a mandatory hotel fee. This was misleading and false advertising! When I approached Cancelon about it they refused to cancel and provided small refund of $50. I will file complain with my credit card. I'm now $122 out of pocket. The worst hotel booking site I have used. Do your research before using them! Terrible! Reservation #650899

Buyer beware: be careful when booking with Cancelon. I booked a 2 night stay at a hotel in Palm Springs. The booking page stated nothing about a mandatory hotel fee. This was misleading and false advertising! When I approached Cancelon about it they refused to cancel and would not provide a refund. I have commenced a credit card chargeback investigation via my bank. I'm now $344 out of pocket. The worst hotel booking site I have used. Do your research before using them! Terrible!

This company is a rip off and a scam, I had to cancel a hotel In Cuba do to my father having a stroke the day before, I called them and they stated to send a letter from the hospital and his surgeon and I did. To this day I have called over 20 times and I always get someone in India telling me they are working on it and they give me the run around. I have already contacted a lawyer and have reported them. I will never book anything on any travel site again.. They are a scam but I Will get my money back even if I have to take them to court!

From cancelon.com BOOKING #517998

"Dear Kenon,
Hope you are well.
Unfortunately, we couldn't confirm your reservation with the hotel as our bank did not authorize the transaction.
We had to cancel your reservation and refund you fully.
You will see the refund in your account in next 3-10 working days.
We request you to use a different card for the payment of Cancelon deals
Best Regards,
Abbey"

Do not use them if you really need your room to be available for you. They do not care about your plans or reservations, trust me. You WILL be screwed, so don't say you weren't warned.

In May Cancelon confirmed a reservation at a 5 start hotel in Indian Wells CA for the three day Desert Trip weekend in October for approx $700. In July we checked with the hotel and they said there was no reservation and they were sold out. Cancellon again confirmed that the reservation was made, which they did again two more times subsequent. Still no confirm available from the hotel. We made backup reservations an hour away, for more money, since the huge event was a sellout everywhere close. Three days prior to the reservation date we received an email stating that the hotel had overbooked and they had obtained equivalent accommodations for us. We drove to the equivalent hotel and determined it was at best a one star hotel that I would not book for a college frat group. We requested a refund and it was refused. This looks to me as intentional fraud, with Cancelon hoping they would get someone on their resale site who wanted to get rid of rooms at the original hotel. I would love to have others with similar experience join me in trying to get fraud charges placed against this provider, which I think is a subsidiary of Booking.com which I think is affiliated with Priceline.

A confirmation for a booking for a hotel from this company does not mean that the room is actually available. An alternative was offered that I declined. I trusted [redacted] to partner with a legitimate booking partner.

Review: The company CancelOn does not inform customers when booking a hotel room through [redacted] that as of May 2015 a specific hotel sent them a notification informing that reservations made through them, a third party company, will be accepted.

I found a great deal on [redacted] for the [redacted] at an affordable rate. After I completed the reservation field I booked the hotel room believing it was true. I even received a confirmation email.

However, in due diligence I contacted the hotel to confirm my reservation; they advised it would take 24-48 hours for it to appear on their system. I also called the company listed on the email - CancelOn to make sure everything was fine and to assure that I would have a double room. It was during this call that I was told by a representative, Dean, at CancelOn that my reservation was not valid because shortly after I made my reservation, they were informed by the hotel that it was fully booked.

Due to my diligence, I knew this was a lie because the hotel informed me that as of May 2015 they were not receiving reservations through a third party and had offered me a hotel room at their best available rate. So not only was the hotel not fully booked it had stopped doing business with third parties in May. It is now June, and CancelOn continues to sell room at the [redacted] as if it were a legitimate reservation.

I have contacted my bank who then contacted the merchant - CancelOn. When my bank asked for proof of a cancellation - a number of some sort - one could not be provided.

After an hour of being on a conference call with CancelOn and my bank, I did resolve getting my refund, however, I am still without a reservation for a family vacation.Desired Settlement: I would like for the practice of CancelOn to be further investigated and, if necessary, exercise necessary measures for any violations committed.

Review: On 4/25/2015, I visited the Cancelon website and received a confirmed reservation for a hotel room at the [redacted] in [redacted] for a one night stay on May 15, 2015. On April 25th I received a confirmation from Cancelon and they charged my credit card $202 for the room. Then on May 11th, during my trip to [redacted], I received and email from Cancelon informing me that my “confirmed” room at the [redacted] was not available.

After multiple communications with the company, I have received a refund of my payment. However, I feel that the fact that they do not honor reservations that they have confirmed warrants a complaint. We had really been looking forward to our stay at the [redacted], which was is in a converted 15th Century Convent next to ancient Roman ruins in the middle of a UESCO World Heritage site. We had anticipated this stay to be one of the highlights of our trip.

Needless to say, getting this last minute cancelation of our confirmed reservation and having to book another property in the middle of our trip was very inconvenient and disappointing. Additionally, I have mobility issues (recent ankle and knee replacements) and there were no alternate properties that provided the close access to the UNESCO work heritage sites that was offered by the [redacted].

I have contacted Cancelon Support and Customer Service numerous times to discuss this problem including today, 5/27/2015, and they refuse to take any accountability for this situation. Additionally, when I asked for the Customer Service representative’s name, the call was terminated. A company with this type of customer service should not be offering services on the internet.Desired Settlement: Cancelon should make it clear on their website and as part of the order placement process that their "confirmation" does not guarantee availability of the room.

Review: On 1/19/15 I booked a hotel reservation on [redacted]. They used a third party for the booking, called Cancelon US. $510 was charged to my [redacted] debit card for the reservation. The confirmation they sent advised that the reservation was fully refundable if I cancelled before 2/12/15. On 1/22/15 I contacted them by email to change the dates of my reservation. I did not receive a reply so I called them. They said they would cancel my original reservation and I should just rebook the reservation with the dates I wanted. I received confirmation of the new reservation on 2/3/15 with a charge to my [redacted] of $542. When we checked into the hotel on 2/10/15 we found out that the original reservation (scheduled for the following week) had never been cancelled! I immediately called Cancelon and they tried telling me that the time to cancel had passed even though it was not yet 2/12/15. After arguing with them they finally agreed on 2/11/15 to cancel my original reservation and provide a refund within 10 days. On 3/16/15 I emailed them again because I had not recevied a refund. On 3/23/15 the responded that they initiated a rerund that I would receive within 10 days. I still do not have a refund. I advised them today that I would be filing a complaint. I should not have to wait months for a refund especially when they advertise that reservations are fully refundable.Desired Settlement: They need to refund my $510. I believe this company should be investigated since they are keeping money they are not entitled to.
