as of 8/we have not received a response. Currently we can not resolve any issues without being able to communicate to the customer

Review: On 1/27/14 my vehicle was towed to Candlewood Valley Motors by Candlewood Valley Motors after the hood popped up on the highway and broke my windshield. First, the accident repairs. They originally wanted an outrageous amount to replace our hood latch, paint to match, and replace our windshield. Then they agreed while it wouldn't look too good, they specified the paint wouldn't match, they could do it for cheaper. It's a [redacted], we were okay with that. The window has been replaced, but they didn't properly put the rubber seal back on and said we could do it ourselves, they charged us for a full windshield replacement. They only were supposed to skimp when it came to our hood. Our complaint is that our total bill added up to $903.98 and in order to fix our bummer portion they used zip ties - is that legal? Is that safe? Still, my biggest issue is that they didn't properly replace our windshield and even though we asked why they simply said it's something we can do ourselves, they wouldn't offer to fix their poor repair.Still, I would have let it go just not to deal with them again as they're rude and mean when you try working out why you've been charged for bad jobs. My parents can attest to this. But then the car failed emissions test. My parents car failed at Candlewood Valley Motors as well recently, they took it to another place right after and it passed. When my wife asked why my car failed they simply pointed to the paperwork and said they could probably tweak it and get it to pass but it'd be about two hours worth of labor charges to do so. She said no thank you of course. Recently we finally got it in for re-take and it passed, we've had no work done to the car since Candlewood Valley Motors worked on it.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of my emissions test and my windshield to be properly done. I would also like this company which is apparently known in our area for being crooked and failing a lot of people on their emission tests to be fined, or somehow harshly reprimanded so that this hopefully stops happening. The place we got the re-take done for emissions said that they get many people in with failed emissions test from Candlewood Valley Motors, yet the cars pass without issue elsewhere.
