Complaint: I am rejecting this response because: I have a wriiten statement from Certified mechanics who put the car on a machine to check the electrical parts of the carI honestly took you and your husband word about the carIn which your husband said to me that the motor and transmission was good and service prior before being put up for sale after the repoI paid youll cash honest money that didnt fall apart in monthsBeing that customers service fairness and selling vehicles is your profession that when a person buys a vechile and major part like a transmission goes outIt should be some kind of fair agreement in getting this vechile look at and repaired at your expense would be the right thing to do.Now if you want me to pay a reasonable fee for getting mechanic to look at it I wouldn't mind doing thatRight now I am out of $2,with no way to work with a transmission that went out within month of purchase Sincerely, [redacted]

It is absolutely true that this was a repossessed vehicleIt is also absolutely true that it was sold at a discounted priceThe customer at this time was offered a three month 3,mile warranty as offered on all vehicles, for the sum of $150.00, which he declinedThe customer was allowed and also did in fact test drive the vehicle before he purchased it and did not have any complaints on any function of the vehicle, including the transmissionThe Texas Lemon Law is relevant only to new vehicles where the dealer can assert the manufactures warranty, obviously this is not the case this is not a new vehicle therefore it has no manufacturers warranty availableThis vehicle was very clearly sold "AS-IS" with documentation enclosedPlease note customer signature on front and back of the "BUYER'S GUIDE."Hopefully this will resolve this matter.Thank you,*** ***

I honestly took you and your husband word about the car. In which your husband said to me that the motor and transmission was good and service prior before being put up for sale after the repo. I paid youll cash honest money that didnt fall apart in 2 months. I, [redacted], owner of Candyland Auto Sales, wish to state our position in response to the complaint from the Revdex.com.  The customer's mother is the only person who has returned to the office since the purchase of the vehicle; she came to my office on September 1st to pick up license plates (2...

days after transmission supposedly quit pulling) and said nothing about the issue then.  She returned on September 4th and informed my daughter that the transmission was out.  I was out of town for three consecutive weeks and was out of contact for many of the days I was gone; so upon my return, my daughter gave me the message.  This is when I attempted to contact Mr [redacted].  I have received zero contact or complaints from Mr [redacted] himself.  I am only legally allowed to discuss any issues or concerns regarding the vehicle with Mr [redacted] himself, according to the privacy statement that he and my daughter ([redacted]) both signed at the time of purchase.  Mr [redacted] was offered a warranty but declined.  The vehicle was sold "as-is" with no warranty, as defined in the "Buyer's Guide" that was also explained & signed by both parties at the time of purchase.  We would be more than happy to recommend a reputable, inexpensive shop to repair the vehicle; however this is all we can offer to do on a $1,800 car ($2,081.79 including TT&L) as we do not have an on-site mechanic.Thank you,[redacted], Owner, Candyland Auto Sales
