To whom it may concern, Please find below my response to the Complaint received by [redacted] as it pertains to their efforts to enlist our services and what actually transpiredDear Complainant, We are sincerely sorry that your experience with Canine Behavioral Services was not satisfactory to you I would like to explain the series of events and lay some truth to how things actually transpired On – we received a $Deposit from you with a request to enroll in a specific training program, to take place at your home(which meant you would have no need or reason to come to our location) The written policy for Deposits states that Deposits are refundable up to hours prior to the First Session Upon receipt of your Deposit, we then sent you and Enrollment Forms email with specific instructions that the completed forms & Invoice payment in full were due hours prior to the First Session That specific deadline was set for 5:pm on as the First Session was scheduled for the morning On the morning of 2.20.18, we had yet to receive ANY of the forms or payment as was specified due days prior We sent the complainant an email asking if they would like to reschedule The exact words, taken from their email reply: Complainant: “No I'm just bad with paperwork and forgot about itCan we reschedule to another day this week? Possibly tomorrow or Friday? “ We then replied to that email stating we would be happy to reschedule the First Session but that in order to do so, we would first have to receive the Enrollment Forms and final payment in order to us to reserve another apptopening, after losing the available Session we had previously scheduled for youIt was at that point that you replied with a derogatory email stating that you would not remit your Enrollment Items prior to any deadline, as you had previously agreed to, because you felt that we may “just take your money and not show up for the training session” I can’t imagine we’d be in business for over years if that was our practiceTo address the accusations in your Complaint: Complainant: “I never met anyone from the company, there is no actual sign of a business at the location and they would only accept payment over the internet”Our Reply: For 20+ years, we’ve enrolled dog owners in our Programs prior to meeting them and there’s never been any issue with that We work from my private home by appointment only There is no “sign” as we do not want the public showing up at my home to see the “dog training business” We accept all forms of payment on our website as is customary for many businesses.Complainant: “Upon further investigation of their website, their testimonials page seems designed to prepare potential marks to accept that their dog will need the most expensive behavioral service The contacts for the testimonials are all CEO’s and other powerful people.”Our Reply: Our Testimonials are all written by owners who have successfully committed to, and completed, one of our highly successful Training Programs We would naturally see more positive words written by owners who’s experience with us was more successful In our business, when an owner commits to a higher-level Program, the results are naturally higher – thus, we get more Testimonials from owners who commit to more successful Programs...which happen to be the more involved programs which require a larger commitment After reviewing our Testimonials page, where all unsolicited clients agreed to leave their contact information for future owners to contact them for words of encouragement – I was only able to locate ONE person who listed themselves as the CEO of their companyComplainant: “The only information for contact is an email address provided by Canine Behavioral Services Co”Our Reply: I’m sorry, but that is false Our Phone Number has always been clearly displayed on the upper right-hand corner of our website.Complainant: “Though the website information is filled out really well, there are no real details about the actual training methods, conditions under which dogs are kept or a store front or office to visit”Our Reply: That also is false Ms [redacted] had enrolled in a Private Session Program where the trainer would go to the Complainants home for training and would not have any need or reason to bring her dog to us We have an entire page of our website titled: “Methodology” where we deeply explain our method of training Also, there is a detailed description, on the website, of EXACTLY how the dogs are housed “in a strictly climate-controlled building in their own crates with classical music playing at all times” There is no “store-front” or office to visit because our work is performed privately, by appointment only, in our private family homeWe have been in business for over years and have not once received a business complaint for any reason whatsoever On 2.12, Complainant agreed to remit her forms and payment by 5:pm on - prior to the start of training Complainant failed to make the deadline, causing us to lose a valuable weekend appointment opening Once an owner misses a deadline, the policy is that the Enrollment Items that were previously due, by the deadline, must be remitted before we can reserve another appointment opening By Ms [redacted] not taking responsibility for returning the Enrollment Items by the agreed upon deadline – other dog owners lost out on a very desirable weekend Session opening that was left unfilled after Complainant’s failure to complete her part of the commitment Thank you for providing us the chance to set the record straight with the facts We hope this is the first and last time we have to address accusations such as thisRespectfully, [redacted] , CPDT-KAOwner, Lead Behavior ConsultantatCanine Behavioral Services Inc
