I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
The dog has a ocular dermoid full of hair in his right eye, how could she said the dog was in healthy condition, she is lying. The dog had surgery today to remove the generic disease. I will send to you the invoice. I would like to know how could she help me with expenses. She delivered lied to me promising the dog was healthy.[redacted]

[redacted] purchased a Teddy Bear puppy from me on 9/26/17. I am not the breeder of this puppy and I informed her of that. I am a state licensed dog breeder and I purchased the puppy from Reuben Schrock(where you sent the complaint). He is also state licensed. The puppy was vet checked by Dr. [redacted] DVM, [redacted], located in Hillsboro, WI. When I meet with [redacted], the puppy was not in any pain, did not show any signs of illness and was in healthy condition, as he was the entire time he was in my care. [redacted]  looked the puppy over and purchased the puppy. She also signed a Health Guarantee and Purchase Contract(see attached). In the contract it states that all medical care after time of purchases becomes the responsibility of the purchaser. We DO offer a two year health guarantee, but the puppy must be surrendered and the purchaser receives a 100% refund. The contract states that for any reason, the puppy can be returned for a 75% refund, no questions asked. She refused to do so. I explained to her that we work with a rescue group that takes puppies with health issues or those needing surgeries and assures proper care of the puppy and THEN a home is then found for them. She refused to choose this route making the care she endured after she purchased the puppy her responsibility.I hope this explains the situation and resolves this matter. If you have any concerns you can reach me at (920) 296-2856. I hope because this letter was not sent to the correct address and had to be forwarded to me that this does not reflect negativity on my rating![redacted]

(PLEASE SEE THE ABOVE PICTURE) This is a shame for the breeder and the veterinary office!!I am not willing to give the dog back because they are going to surrender the puppy to a shelter and I am not sure if the shelter has the resources to give him a medical treatment right awayI have an appointment (earliest one) NOV 1ST, with the ophthalmologist and I know is going to be expensive (ATTACHED ESTIMATE) Kind Regards,[redacted]

I wish that we were surprised by your story, but countless sick and diseased animals are bought and sold every day by unsuspecting people. This is because expenses are kept at a minimum to ensure the highest possible profit margin, which often manifests in mistreatment or neglect of the animals. Animals are often sick, ill from worms, parvovirus/distemper, upper respiratory infections, mites, mange, and even die within days to weeks of purchase.   Some states and/or localities have enacted what have been coined “pet lemon laws” that protect the consumer in situations such as yours. You can find a copy of your state law at www.animallaw.com. You should also obtain a copy of local ordinances to determine what action you might be able to take to receive compensation for the veterinary bills you have incurred, and the price you paid. You can also file a small claims suit at your local courthouse to receive compensation. This can easily be done without a lawyer. You should also contact your local media outlet in hopes that they will do a story on this pet store, and notify local animal control so they can check on conditions for the puppies currently in the store. Gabriela, you may not be aware of this, but the overpopulation crisis is so severe that by the end of December, approximately 5,000,000 animals will have been killed this year due to a lack of homes. Every animal bought and sold in the pet trade industry (breeders, dealers, and pet stores) means that a home is taken away from an animal who will be put to death. http://www.peta.org/issues/Companion-Animals/overpopulation.aspx. The profit-greedy pet trade, knowing this, continues its soulless exploitation of worn-out mothers, breeding them over and over just to turn a few bucks by peddling their litters. Besides, even breeders who “do their deed” in seemingly the best of conditions, personally or for profit, are part of the tragic problem. But they make every excuse imaginable while the animals pay the ultimate price. You may not realize this, but if someone has affection towards a particular breed, over 25% of the animals in shelters are purebred. Please visit www.petfinder.com to view a listing of the thousands of animals sitting in your local shelters right now! Thank you again for your concern and please share this information with any others who are planning to purchase animals from a breeder or pet store. Sarah Preston, PETA From: [redacted]] On Behalf Of PETA InfoSent: Sunday, October 01, 2017 10:57 PM[redacted]

Ocular demoid. He is dealing with this terrible and unpleasant problem alone. When I told the breeder about this issue, she wanted to resolve this problem making an exchange for another dog, but I refused to give my dog back to her because she said wouldn't take care of the problem, she said she will give the dog away to a shelter and the shelter will resolve the problem. (??)I would ask you to review the farm where she and her husband breed the dogs. Please, it is very important someone check on them.Photos help us help animals.
